😁😁😁 Lots of hand holding through out

Saturnsmoon · 16/02/2023 22:23

Place marking here. I have an early scan on Monday due to previous mc - I think I’ll be somewhere around 7 weeks.

Rabbitjungle1 · 16/02/2023 23:04

Thought I should say hello after lurking for a few days! According to Premom I'm 5w 2d today. Had a MMC in October, so I'm another one who is tentatively happy whilst trying not to get my hopes up...

@SillyOldBear3 you're not alone, I won't be going for an early scan either. I had one in my previous pregnancy at 8 weeks but was measuring only 5w 6d, with a heartbeat. Since I was so sure of my dates this caused quite a bit of angst - so, this time around, I'm holding off until 12w. It's such a personal choice though, I can understand that people (including those who have experienced MCs) can find reassurance in early scans.

Hankthehonk · 16/02/2023 23:06

@MeganC104 Yes, I had my dd in July 2020 so a covid baby. I also had covid in March 2020 when I was 14 weeks pregnant (when we had no info about it and no help, it was really scary). I still don't know how much of my pregnancy experience, physical and mental health wise, was covid related, this time around it'll be a whole new world. I'm excited to be able to go to classes and things this time.
It's also a bit daunting for life to be so busy whilst pregnant, with my only other experience of it being lockdown. I was working from home but other than that I was just resting and planning for the baby.

Hankthehonk · 16/02/2023 23:09

And I think it's purely personal choice to have an early scan or not, no right or wrong.
I've just booked a scan for what I think will be 7+6 - we had a scan with our first around the same time and getting that confirmation the baby was on track, hearing the heartbeat, was a huge turning point for me and settled my anxiety. Well worth £60 for us.

EMcG3 · 16/02/2023 23:17

@SillyOldBear3 I would not be inclined to do a private scan but my husband is adamant we do a harmony test after a loss to Edwards at 18 weeks in October which Harmony would have picked up and resolved more quickly. Harmony test requires a scan. Whatever suits you, but it is certainly very reasonable to just go with the NHS tests. We did that with my daughter.

Hi all! Just jumping on the thread as I got my bfp on a CB digital yday at 10dpo, and on a frer today at 11dpo

just about making the cut with a 30th Oct due date and keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky bean

SillyOldBear3 · 17/02/2023 00:13

@Rabbitjungle1 sorry about your loss in October, I also had an early loss in November and am now 5+2 also! I definitely agree it's a personal choice, I am a bit of a worrier and would prefer to wait til 12 weeks when a scan is clearer.

@Chanteuse

SillyOldBear3 · 17/02/2023 00:16

@Chanteuse @Pregnancychatter also feel sick when hungry and also get quite shakey! It's such a weird feeling.

SillyOldBear3 · 17/02/2023 00:23

@Hankthehonk I agree, no right or wrong! Just go with what feels right 🙂

@EMcG3 sorry about your loss 😞 I feel for our partners too as they feel so helpless, it's probably comforting knowing you can have an element of control via testing.

@DSP21 Congrats on your BFP! 🎃

Same here.

Hi everyone, hope it's ok to join this group. I am cautiously joining, due 23rd October. I have a 20 month old boy. Tested positive on DPO 10 very faint, I am a bit scared as I have a flat line progression but I'm keen to enjoy the ride and not let anxiety take over too much.

@AlongcameLainey congratulations on the test!!!! It's the best feeling. Let us know how the scan goes today 🙌🏼

AlongcameLainey · 17/02/2023 06:20

@katherine123x thank you lovely. Will do!

I don’t know how I am going to concentrate at work this morning waiting for the appointment 😅 x

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 06:22

@AlongcameLainey I can't concentrate at all let alone if I had that booked!! I'm going to hold off for mine. Going to go around 6+5 which will be 28th feb!! Hoping to have a good chance to see something!

AlongcameLainey · 17/02/2023 06:24

@katherine123x yes I would do the same too. I’m hoping that if we don’t see a heartbeat today that they’ll arrange another appointment in a week or 2 - all being well of course x

SlowlyGainingConfidence · 17/02/2023 07:06

Hi all, I'd like to cautiously join. Got my first faint line on Valentines on a cheapy test & a very clear line on frer yesterday after the wait for amazon to deliver! I'm very early still, maybe 4 weeks today, due date roughly 27th/28th Oct.

I have a little boy who will be 2 in a few weeks, pandemic baby so like quite a few of you I'm sure this pregnancy will feel very different not being in lockdown all the time!

I'm feeling really excited (we've been trying for quite a while & I ended up having an ovary removed due to a huge cyst twisting & killing it in the middle) but also very anxious. I found first trimester & then birth & newborn phase very tough last time so bit apprehensive & actually on anxiety medication still (all GP approved, but still makes me nervous) & glad to have a thread for support. Still deciding on early scan, had one at 9 weeks last time so partner could come.

Hope you're all doing well & not having too many symptoms 🙂

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 07:23

@AlongcameLainey good luck. Can't wait to hear about it!!

nicolay297 · 17/02/2023 07:43

Hi all,

Just got my BFP, expected due date 26th October.

I have a 11 & 10 year old from a previous relationship. So this is mine and my partners first together.

We had a missed miscarriage late last year, so hoping this is our time 🤞👶🌈.

Feeling super tired and quite nauseous which is always reassuring 🤣

DSP21 · 17/02/2023 07:56

Hey guys,

so just reading the comments on all the early scans and wanted to put my 2cents in. With DD1 it was very much covid times, i had no symptoms and wanted to check for a viable pregnancy so went to Window to the Womb at 6weeks. We couldn’t see anything besides a sack, i was sent home with miscarriage leaflets (wtf) at 7 weeks i had a bleed so had another scan at the hospital that 2 sonographers declared was nothing there, only a third consultant who came in to double check before discussing ‘further steps’ finally found the bean and a heartbeat.

I would recommend waiting until atleast 8 weeks if you’re not having any issues and want to see something there. They sell these scans as ‘as early as 6 weeks’ but for most this is simply too early and left us a bit heartbroken for a few weeks. Had we not had it double checked we would have been taken down the route of a miscarriage!

as eager as I am to have one done, definitely waiting this time!!

DSP21 · 17/02/2023 07:58

@SlowlyGainingConfidence

sounds like we’re on a similar journey! I had a pandemic baby who will be 2 soon and a faint bfp on valentines

hoping its a sticky bean for you!

LWestYorks · 17/02/2023 07:59

Morning ladies! Anyone suffering or had previously lower back pain? I’m 6 weeks today and never had this with my first. Worried 😩

OrionNebula · 17/02/2023 08:28

Joining second thread! I had what felt exactly like ovulation pain last night and this is the point in my cycle where I would be ovulating... anyway I just looked it up and seems to be normal and due to hormone changes, I'm care anyone else is getting the same.

HistoryFanatic · 17/02/2023 08:54

Is anyone else very bloated? 🤯
