I have just booked an early dating scan for mid-March when I will be just about 8-9 weeks. I was going to hold out til the 12 week scan but I think it may help to ease my anxiety if I can (hopefully) get a little bit of reassurance. 🤞 My very few symptoms seemed to have all but disappeared which worries me so much but for some people I suppose symptoms can come and go. First pregnancy so everything is very new to me, I didn’t even realise how long I would need to wait to speak to the midwife! Patience has never been my strong point 😆 Xx

LaVitesse2022 · 17/02/2023 18:23

Hi all, joining the thread as my due date is 16 Oct. I'm currently 5w+4 and this is my first pregnancy, so still exploring this wonderful new world where time drags and learning to be OK with having no control over how things turn out 😬

I got my first appt letter yesterday, booked in for tests just shy of 10 weeks. I plan to wait until the 12 week scan so I can practice being patient and letting go of control. I'll see how long that lasts haha.

I find the Miscarriage Odds Reassurer really helpful with, well, reassurance. I thought the odds were much worse this early so it was a pleasant surprise and seeing the odds increase with each passing day soothes me.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 18:24

@Summer022 mine have calmed down a little bit too apart from tiredness!!! I don't think it's anything to worry about!!!

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 18:35

@PeacefulD mainly just sore boobs. Had some mild cramps and a weird feeling like a really full feeling in my uterus which I’ve never had before. But nothing else so far.

PeacefulD · 17/02/2023 18:50

@Twoinapod I just got a call from my doctor's that it's an unviable pregnancy as HCG levels are too low...

Hope all goes well everyone, and hope I'll be back another time

amybooth · 17/02/2023 18:57

@LaVitesse2022 I'm also 5+4 and due October 16th with my first☺️

HM1990 · 17/02/2023 18:58

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 15:17

@HM1990 I don’t know whether it frer at the moment, I haven’t had any line progression with them, still fairly faint. Tried a CB and there was a definite darker line. Frer are usually good but they caused me a lot of stress this time

About 30 minutes after my message I started bleeding - so I'm out this month.
I had a bad feeling about this month anyway - so I'm not surprised, but still gutted.

Sending everyone else luck for healthy pregnancies! ❤️

LaVitesse2022 · 17/02/2023 19:04

@amybooth due date buddies! 😊 How's it been going for you? Any symptoms? The only thing for me has really been sore & fuller boobs. Some tiredness and more hungry than usual but nothing I couldn't explain way hadn't I known I was pregnant. My mum didn't have any nausea nor did my cousin from my dad's side so I'm hoping I'm blessed with no-nausea genes! 😄

LaVitesse2022 · 17/02/2023 19:06

@HM1990 and @PeacefulD really sorry to hear, hoping you get a sticky bean very soon. Take care in the meantime xx

DSP21 · 17/02/2023 19:10

Anyone else her cramping like mad and expecting AF to show up? Can’t cope with this anxiety 😭

amybooth · 17/02/2023 19:11

@LaVitesse2022 I also have very sore boobs, I'm exhausted but I'm awake by 6.30 latest every morning, I have really bad heartburn and I'm so hungry all the time xx

Bee1994 · 17/02/2023 19:24

Just found this new thread! My nausea has started this week, originally was just in the evening but today it’s been all day unless I’m snacking which is hard at work! Just inhaled a McDonald’s and feeling better for now 😂

IaminRome · 17/02/2023 19:28

Sorry to go back to early scans - those of you booking one, do you know when they can likely be done abdominally rather than internal?

I feel like 12 weeks is a long wait, but not really keen for internal unless I have any particular worries.

My friend's 12 week scan wasn't until she was 14 weeks and I feel like that's too long to wait!

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 19:29

@PeacefulD and @HM1990 im so so sorry. Really hope you get a sticky bean soon.

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 20:01

Evening ladies, had some pains a lot in the right side today. Normal cramps but very localised. Has anyone experienced this?? I'm 5w+1

iloveeggs · 17/02/2023 20:04

@katherine123x I'm going through the same and they're investigating for ectopic as the pain is on one side. Scan next week to rule it out.

Sleepyhead31 · 17/02/2023 20:07

Hey everyone, not sure if I should be joining but at the moment I’m due 16th October. Hcg rising well but have been spotting pink since the day I found out and today (5+5) had an early scan due to previous losses and they found my gestational sac smaller than it should be and no yolk. Booked in to rescan next Friday but just keep crying and feel like absolute rubbish

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 20:14

@iloveeggs thank you! Will keep an eye over the weekend! Fingers crossed for you

iloveeggs · 17/02/2023 20:17

@katherine123x Sending you positive vibes!

Alexandra07 · 17/02/2023 20:24

Tentatively joining, due date 29th October.
I have a 5 year old DD and last year I had two miscarriages. This was my first cycle after my last miscarriage. My IVF medication arrived last week, hopefully I won't need them! I am 41 so I know that the chances of this not working are high. On top of that I got my thyroid test results last week and my TSH was high! I have hypothyroidism. My GP wasn't helpful and worried the effect of this to the embryo.

I am not going to have an early scan, unless an issue comes up. I had last time a scan at 7 weeks because i was bleeding, all was fine, but less than a week later I miscarried. The scan won't treasure me. I plan to do the harmony or panorama test at 10 weeks and a scan is included, so I'll wait till then. Fingers crossed this one will stick.

I am sorry to hear about the losses some of you have experienced already. Take care of yourselves, and don't give up! 🌷

elarcoiris · 17/02/2023 20:27

Tentatively joining (and have also joined the FB group) as got a BFP today. I’m 4+1 based on LMP, although Natural Cycles has me at 3+6 - either way hopefully looking at an end of Oct due date. Had two miscarriages towards the end of this year so hoping this one sticks around (and have already booked an early scan for around 6 weeks to try and manage anxiety levels).

To answer someone’s question from earlier (sorry, can’t remember who 🙈), I had an unplanned c section with my son in 2019 and leaning towards planned c section next time, although open to discussing VBAC nearer the time.

HM1990 · 17/02/2023 13:12

Hi 👋🏼
Tentatively joining - been watching for a while. I think I'm about 5 weeks 5 days with baby number 2.

Slightly worried/ anxious as my pregnancy tests don't seem to be getting much darker (with my daughter I had a really clear line progression super early!)

Attached a pic - top is from 9th Feb (around 14dpo) and the bottom is today (around 21dpo) 😫
Why is pregnancy so terrifying?!
Anyone experienced no line progression and everything be ok? 🤞🏼

Wishing everyone the best for their October babies ❤️

Welcome. I haven't retested since I confirmed with the clear blue so I can't say much about the line progression.

Don't worry. I am sure some test will show stronger than others.

Congratulations and enjoy the process.

Happyhappy39soon40 · 17/02/2023 21:26

Welcome to all. The thread have been really busy today. I can hardly keep up 😁.

Wishing you all the best.

Wish there was a easier way to reply to you all individually 😁

PrimarilyParented · 17/02/2023 21:31

@MeganC104 i had a c-section last time (emergency) and plan to have on again but I also want to keep in mind that if I go into Labour naturally and there are emergencies in theatre already that I may have to give birth naturally if Mother Nature wills it. So basically I’m trying to prepare for both mentally so that I can cope with either though I definitely want a section after the way my last Labour went.
