@HistoryFanatic I'm very bloated, can't fasten my jeans so I'm living in leggings and tracksuit bottoms when I'm off work

fleur89 · 17/02/2023 09:27

@HistoryFanatic also very bloated, currently 6+1 and been going on a few weeks. Feels really uncomfortable

PeacefulD · 17/02/2023 09:39

@HistoryFanatic bloated and crampy since last night. Didn't sleep too well, hoping for a better night today

MeganC104 · 17/02/2023 09:41

@LWestYorks yes lower back pain with my son first few weeks. It's the only early pregnancy symptom I remember having. My son is 2.

MeganC104 · 17/02/2023 09:43

Sorry if I'm not replying to everyone who has tagged me. Struggling to keep up while looking after a toddler and having a really bad cold 😩

Congrats to all the new people added! Told my OH today and he is really happy 😁

CB23CB · 17/02/2023 09:54

Morning everyone!

I spoke to the hospital this morning and got myself self registered. I just need to wait for my appointment to come through.
Hopefully I'll make it to the 8/9 week appointment this time 💖
I think it's going to be a bit of a wobbly few months but keeping everything crossed for this little one.
Hopefully I'll have some idea on a real date after tests, right now I'm guessing that I'm roughly 4 weeks!

Jealousofchiliheeler · 17/02/2023 10:06

@HistoryFanatic obscene bloating here, struggling to find clothes for work that are comfy to wear but also don't show the bloat because honestly I look about 6 months gone and I'm only just over 4 weeks! Also had cramping last night which worried me but that's eased off now, no spotting so hopefully all good 🤞🤞🤞

Summer022 · 17/02/2023 10:08

Anyone else feeling like time is going sooooo painfully slowly. 😫 Not even 5 weeks yet and so desperately want to be at the 12 week mark already 😆

amybooth · 17/02/2023 10:44

@Summer022 time honestly seems like it has stopped! I thought it was just me that felt like it was dragging

Saturnsmoon · 17/02/2023 11:17

Time definitely dragging here too!

What is everyone doing about exercise? I was previously going to a gym based exercise class twice a week - kind of a mix between HIT & weightlifting. I’d like to keep it up as I feel I’ll benefit in later stages of pregnancy (hoping all goes well) if I at least maintain some level of fitness but so far I’ve missed two classes already due to nausea / fatigue and haven’t really replaced them with anything - what are your thoughts on exercise is early pregnancy?

iloveeggs · 17/02/2023 11:26

@Saturnsmoon I've been so tired and sick i'm finding it hard to do anything. I'm hoping I can get back into it when it stops though. Even just some prenatal yoga if anything.

I enjoy running, usually try and do 5k 2-3 times a week. On my last pregnancy I kept running until about 20 weeks and hopes to do the same this time. But I have had a cough lingering for about a month and am very breathless so haven't been able to for a while. Going to go swimming with the little one tomorrow as well.

Twoinapod · 17/02/2023 11:40

Sneakily joining. I’m not sure on my dates. Had coil out 10th jan. Withdrawal bleed 14th/15th and caught first cycle. So I don’t have a LMP to work from. Apps are saying 5 weeks but I’m only 16dpo so sometime towards the end of October

Bertiebean · 17/02/2023 12:08

4 weeks today. I am so anxious that it’s not going to stick I can’t let myself get excited.

what do you consider safe from chemical - I know that it’s risky up to 12w and beyond but anyone know what the stats are by week?

DancingNancies · 17/02/2023 12:08

Tentaively joining in - edd anywhere between 18-23rd October depending on what info I put in, so who knows! Had a chemical last cycle which made AF late so no idea if LMP date is accurate or not.

2 previous pregnancies very different as one was lockdown and the other wasn't, looking forward to my final experience of this being more normal. Didn't have an early scan with dc1, just the nhs ones, had a private scan 2nd time round due to bleeding but turns out the midwife had my dates about 2 weeks out, so I was 12 weeks by then anyway. Don't think we'll go private this time either, 12 weeks isn't that far away and it's pricey, though I can see why it's reassuring for some.

No symptoms except I'm exhausted as yet - but then with a 5 and 2yo that's my normal state anyway! 😂

DancingNancies · 17/02/2023 12:15

@Bertiebean Tommy's reckons the risk drops to 10% once there's a heartbeat around 6/7 weeks - so much earlier than 12 weeks. I didn't know this, than you for asking and making me look it up!

iloveeggs · 17/02/2023 12:33

Anyone have any magic cures for insomnia? it's starting to kill me slowly.

Infinitebows · 17/02/2023 12:54

Hi all,

Just popping on to say I'll be leaving the thread now... I've just had my second scan and it's a confirmed loss 😢 heartbroken again. Wishing you all the very best of luck with your pregnancies, there will be some very lucky babies born in October that's for sure. Much love ❤️

AlongcameLainey · 17/02/2023 12:55

@katherine123x still too early to see anything which I kind of expected as still only 5+3ish I think!

They took more bloods and will call me with hcg results in a few hours and will decide whether to do another scan next week based on the results x

HM1990 · 17/02/2023 13:12

Hi 👋🏼
Tentatively joining - been watching for a while. I think I'm about 5 weeks 5 days with baby number 2.

Slightly worried/ anxious as my pregnancy tests don't seem to be getting much darker (with my daughter I had a really clear line progression super early!)

Attached a pic - top is from 9th Feb (around 14dpo) and the bottom is today (around 21dpo) 😫
Why is pregnancy so terrifying?!
Anyone experienced no line progression and everything be ok? 🤞🏼

Wishing everyone the best for their October babies ❤️

That's really helpful thank you for sharing. I'm undecided about an early scan as not even five weeks yet, but this does make me think that maybe I will so I can just relax a bit more if it's all good news

Bertiebean · 17/02/2023 13:21

@DancingNancies that’s really reassuring thank you!

I keep thinking of it as pre-pregnant until 6 weeks at least…

I never thought I’d feel so unsure - I know I’m only 4 weeks but barely notice a difference just a bit tired and achy

Beemug · 17/02/2023 13:25

@Saturnsmoon @OrionNebula im trying to maintain exercise too - tricky when feeling rough but I’m sure a few weeks away from it won’t hurt :)

katherine123x · 17/02/2023 13:25

@AlongcameLainey ahhh I've been thinking of you most the morning!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 im sure they will come back fine!
