Just starting a new thread :) hope everyone finds it.
Rainbowmamma23 · 15/02/2023 20:02
Hi all 🌈♥️ have had my 12 week scan today and it was bloody lovely - I was holding my breath the whole time after our mmc in June. Baby was wriggling away and very sweet. Have been following the thread but didn’t want to post too much for fear of jinxing anything. Lovely to see so many healthy and happy scans recently!
they confirmed baby has an anterior placenta this time! Has anyone had this before? Just wondering when the kicks might be! I had posterior last time ♥️
Preggobelly · 15/02/2023 20:08
Hi everyone 💗💙
I have my scan in 2 weeks when I’ll be 13 weeks. Cannot wait but slightly anxious!
@Rainbowmamma23 i had an anterior placenta with my first pregnancy and I was about 22 weeks when I felt the first kick 💛
Rainbowmamma23 · 15/02/2023 20:09
@Preggobelly ahh thanks lovely! I think with my first I was about 20 weeks anyway so I won’t know too much difference 😅
hope your scan goes well!♥️
is anyone based down South by any chance?
DandelionPockets · 15/02/2023 20:12
@Rainbowmamma23 aww glad it all went well ❤️ it's great to see a wriggle!
DandelionPockets · 15/02/2023 20:13
@Preggobelly hello! Hope the scan goes well for you and time passes quickly 😊
Rainbowmamma23 · 15/02/2023 20:13
@DandelionPockets thank you! So sweet when they’re so small and there’s lots of room 😂♥️
cinnamonbiscuit · 15/02/2023 21:59
Congrats on all the happy scan news! I had nuchal screening results yesterday, low risk for everything so v relieved about that!
Sickness still awful at 14 weeks 🤢 starting to get fed up with it now!
laurapalmer22 · 16/02/2023 06:54
Congrats on happy scans!! ❤️
I was told I have an anterior placenta too. And I've started showing already! Wore a form fitting dress the other night and had a very obvious bump.
divorcingmumoftwo · 16/02/2023 07:08
I'm worried about getting my 12 week scan in time for testing given I'm 9+3 already and haven't had a reply from the midwife and only found out this week!
I am sick of the sickness and am going to stay with my in laws this weekend after a 3 hour car ride tonight!
Londongirl87 · 16/02/2023 08:43
So nice to hear about the scans! And thank you for the new thread @DandelionPockets !
Augustbabyy · 16/02/2023 12:43
Congratulations @Rainbowmamma23
I had a successful 12 week scan yesterday...one very active baby who didn’t stop moving! And we heard the heartbeat 🥰
Also had my results for Down’s, Edwards’ & Patau’s - all low risk.
Moved from 12+1 to 12+2, so due date now 28th August!
The sonographer commented on my nice full bladder 😂 but also said I have a retroverted uterus, so it is important to have a full bladder so they can get a clear view.
Can’t stop looking at the photos 🥰
Good luck to everyone with upcoming scans xx
allgoodthings84 · 16/02/2023 13:23
I think I posted on the other thread yesterday about my scan
@Rainbowmamma23 I had an anterior placenta with my daughter and have again this time. It can be up to 24 weeks to feel movement/kicks with an anterior placenta. I can’t remember exactly when with my daughter as was so long ago but was definitely after my 20 week scan. I was hoping for posterior this time but the sonographer did say that if you have anterior first time you’re more likely to in following pregnancies
@divorcingmumoftwo i would chase them up but they can get you in pretty quickly after booking in appointment. I had my booking in at 10 weeks and my scan at 12+4 weeks. If they miss 14 weeks there’s the quad test they can do instead but it’s downs only not Edwards or Patau
I’ve got to wait 3-5 working days to find out if I’m high risk or not but I’m hopeful it’s ok as everything on the scan was good with no markers
Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 13:28
@allgoodthings84 oooh that’s really good to know! I’ll have 24 weeks as my bar to aim for! Thank you ♥️
@Augustbabyy congrats on the scan!
divorcingmumoftwo · 16/02/2023 13:42
They've got me a booking appointment next week! Thank god! I do want the testing so I hope the scan is in time.
Owlgirl14 · 16/02/2023 15:03
Congrats on all the scans.
I've had mine today and they were a wriggly bum! Was 12+2 today but measuring 13+1 so now due 23rd August 😊
May94x · 16/02/2023 15:18
Aww glad to hear about all the scans 🥰
@divorcingmumoftwo I was 10+2 at my booking appointment and then they booked my scan for when I’ll be 13+2 so hopefully yours is before 14 weeks!
DandelionPockets · 16/02/2023 16:31
Congratulations on the positive scan news from yesterday and today ❤️
What's everyone's thoughts on finding out the sex of their baby? I'm a definitely finding out kind of person 😂
Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 16:37
@May94x congrats lovely! Mine is measuring a few days further than expecting too! I was supposed to be 11+6, and ended up being 12+3/4 😂 so shot ahead since the 10 week one! They said it's quite common though because you can just see so much better around now!
@DandelionPockets I'm definitely finding out! I love that people don't though, so impressed with their patience! Has anyone looked at the nub theory?
Also, anyone that's on their second... do you think you'd do NCT again (if you did it the first time!)xx
allgoodthings84 · 16/02/2023 17:57
@DandelionPockets we are definitely going to find out. Thinking of a private scan at 17 weeks as I know so many people who couldn’t find out at their nhs 20 week scan. Good excuse to see baby again too.
laurapalmer22 · 16/02/2023 20:00
We are definitely not going to find out until they're born, or at least we'll try our best to not accidentally find out! We don't want to bias ourselves. Also very much don't want well meaning but very gendered presents from family and friends.
Preggobelly · 16/02/2023 20:04
We didn’t find out for our first and it was the most amazing moment on the day so we are going to wait until the baby is born this time too 🥰💛 I completely understand why people find out though! It is very exciting to know 🥰
May94x · 16/02/2023 20:09
I’m the most impatient person in the world but we’ve decided not to find out!! This is our first and I can just imagine how magical it will be to find out when they’re born 🥰
Owlgirl14 · 16/02/2023 20:25
Well we've just told both our parents today and left them shocked 😂
We're going to find out at the next scan whether it's a boy or girl x
