Hi all, I found out I am expecting my second baby on Wednesday, and I'm 5 weeks today. Early days, but wanted to start a thread for those with similar due dates so we can go through the motions together. ☺️
I'm due 10th September. My little boy will be 2 and 3 quarters by then, so a good little age gap.

Any anxieties? For me, less so about the pregnancy this time around, far more chill. My anxiety is surrounding timing. Baby 2 wasn't planned for just now, but a happy surprise and very much wanted. However, the most instrumental career opportunity for me is coming up in the next 2-4 months or so, and I was hoping to get this role. It may or may not have come off anyway, but I don't want my pregnancy to be the determining factor (I don't think my company would outwardly discriminate, but they might find a 'business reason' I wasn't successful), so I ideally need to keep my pregnancy hidden from work for as long as possible. If I get the role, I will have no worries in taking Mat leave around August and return next year, as I know I'll do a damn good job for them once I'm back, and for the foreseeable future. Anyway... that's my one thing at the mo! ☺️

I'm really up the wall today sorting for my daughter birthday party which is tomorrow and was planning on calling epau Thursday until this lot of blood started. But to me it is pretty obvious as I've lost what little symptoms I did have.

@Daisy155 my headaches subsided now. I wouldn't say it's completely gone but it was horrendous on Sunday and seemed to wear off yesterday afternoon. Hope you're doing okay 😘

@suz2285 just heard Martin Lewis is doing a housing market special tonight on his show not sure if this is any interest to you!

Also I live in leggings or black tights and dresses I couldn't be doing with jeans right now!

Fingers crossed for everyone at EPU today 🤞🏼

Currently here myself as had some spotting. Waiting for a scan to confirm baby is ok but internal examination showed a cervical ectropion which can cause bleeding. Apparently it’s very normal in pregnancy because of the surge in oestrogen but they want to scan just to be certain.

Also was told the cyst is dermoid so it has teeth and hair cells 😵‍💫 but they won’t touch it during the pregnancy, only if it twists which becomes an emergency.

It's unbelievable I'm back and still non the wise. Could only see a sack on internal scan and a tiny smudge when she zoomed In. She couldn't tell if it was a pregnancy. She said especially for my dates anyway it would have had more to show. She could see a bleed & bruise on my womb. She's taken bloods and will have me back for more if they're high enough to indicate a pregnancy. And she gave me a leaflet about pregnancy of unknown location.

@PBandJs hope you get some answers too - let us know! How strange about the cyst, so many weird things can happen in our bodies!

@Bubblemachiene I can’t believe what you must be going through right now! 😞 I hope it gets sorted out and they find out what is happening to you and your baby. I am hoping your blood levels come back high ♥️ please take it easy there is still hope and take care of yourself in the meantime before the results

@PCOSunfortunately thank you so much I am feeling much better today no symptoms or anything today which I think is a good day because I needed a small break from the nausea and being sick! Also my appetite is getting better as well and I am starting to eat my normal healthy foods so I think this is also helping with the nausea today! Xx

@Bubblemachiene levels can be all over the place everyone will have different levels, what they are looking for is a rise in levels, so that's why you go back in a couple of days as they usually double every 48-72 hours at this early stage, so they'll be checking that they have gone up.... and that they are high enough still, so they will know what is happening in a couple of days after the next bloods. Hope that helps 😘

I am having my first scan tomorrow at 7+6 and am so worried. I have been so ill over last week with strep A and what feels like flu, I have had to get antibiotics which I never, ever do. It's hard to tell if I had morning sickness, all I know is all I want to eat is ham sandwiches or McDonald's. Hard to work out if I feel pregnant. Had a tiny smear of brown blood yesterday

Thanks @suz2285 I've looked online and for the levels I was (1200) that should be showing something on an ultrasound sp the levels don't match up with what they have seen so I'm guessing they are dropping due to miscarriage.

I swear my boobs have grown a size since yesterday 😏I feel so heavy and sluggish today. I definitely look like I have a bump (1st baby) but it is obviously just extreme bloating. Nothing I eat or don't eat seems to affect it. I don't want to buy new clothes yet (when I'm going to get so much bigger) but I'm so uncomfortable in jeans now!

I feel you! I've had to go out and purchase a bunch of new bras and a swimsuit!

(visiting my parents at their 60+ community over half term and not interested in showing EVERYTHING in my previous swimsuit that was purchased in summer whilst slimming down for my wedding)

My student's have been complaining that I'm not playing with them outside or joining in with our daily guided dance/movement breaks.... Mrs G's jumping in class days are over!

@Daisy155 @suz2285 @northernmam @PCOSunfortunately Thank you! Finally had the scan and thankfully baby was looking good. The bleeding almost certainly came from the ectropion and could happen again which is unnerving, not sure I want another trip there with the amount of things that have been inside me today 😬 and cyst-gate continued. It wasn’t a dermoid at all, but two simple fluid cysts and they confirmed they’re benign which is the news I was worrying I wouldn’t hear and I’d spend the entire pregnancy worrying 👏🏻

funny you say about ham sandwiches @winningeasy. theyre all I’ve been wanting the last few days and I haven’t had one in years 😂 I keep getting cravings for fish fingers as well and I’ve never eaten fish, so not sure how my brain has concocted that!
