It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

Me too. I’m certain I ovulated on the 8th and got my BFP yesterday which means I’m due the 1st August roughly.

congratulations! How are you feeling? Xx

AnnieApple123 · 19/11/2022 14:36

And to you @MsRT !

I’ve had quite a few symptoms since as early as Wednesday but they’ve come and gone which has been making me quite nervous every time they seem to disappear. How about you?

MsRT · 19/11/2022 14:59

These first few weeks are so nerve wracking aren’t they. I wish I could fast forward time!

yeah I’m ok! Feeling a bit sick and weeing loads but other than that actually feeling ok but it’s early days so I’m waiting for it to hit in the next few weeks haha

AnnieApple123 · 19/11/2022 16:07

Oh they really are sooo nerve wracking! I’d forgotten quite how bad. I’ve just been thinking the exact same about wanting to fast forward time.

Is this your first? I have a 2.5 year-old and was all over the place at this stage last time too. I did calm down though after a week or so.

@AnnieApple123 ah that’s going to be a lovely age gap.

I have a little boy who is one in the next few weeks. We had planned to start properly trying in about 6 months for baby no 2 but we was quite relaxed. This was our first month where we wasn’t actively preventing either so it’s a little bit earlier than planned but we’re both over the moon.

I can’t remember relaxing until after my 12 week scan last time. I’m hoping that I’ll be busier this time that I won’t have time to be as nervous! The first trimester went so slowly x

@AnnieApple123 @MsRT hey ladies, got my bfp this morning, think I’m around 9/10dpo so should be due around the start of august I think! Still can’t quite believe it, especially finding out so early! Congratulations to you both🥰❤️

MsRT · 19/11/2022 19:38

Ahhhh congratulations @ChloeN 🤍

How are you feeling? X

ChloeN · 19/11/2022 19:41

@MsRT thank you! I’m a lot less anxious than I thought I would be, I had a mmc in July so had that hanging over me but I’m just over the moon to be pregnant again so want to try and enjoy it ☺️❤️

MsRT · 19/11/2022 19:50

@ChloeN Oh bless your heart. I’m so sorry.

I completey understand why you’d be feeling that way 🤍 hopefully the next few weeks will pass quickly for us x

ChloeN · 19/11/2022 20:04

@MsRT thanks lovely, it’s not something id ever thought would happen to me but I’m very excited to get my rainbow baby this time round!
Its my first also so all very new to me! Xxx

AnnieApple123 · 19/11/2022 21:57

Welcome Chloe! It really is amazing how early you can find out these days, isn’t it?

You sound like you’re doing really well at managing to stay positive.

I’ve already managed to get in a panic that my test lines aren’t progressing as much as they should be. I’m going to take a day off from testing tomorrow I think.

Hi everyone :) I got a BFP a few days ago at 10dpo. My due date is the 31st of July.

I know @ChloeN from the miscarriage thread as I had a MMC at nine weeks back in April.

My husband has extremely low sperm motility so each few and far between pregnancy seems like a miracle to us.

We have one son who will be two next Thursday and really hope this little poppyseed sticks so that we can give him a sibling :)

With the MMC I had a feeling from the start that something was wrong and I couldn't shake it. In contrast I feel very calm about this one... still slightly obsessing over lines on cheapies though haha. I've told myself I can take one a day until I either run out or get a dye stealer. I've got one FRER left for Monday which is when my period is due and one digi which I'm saving for if I make it to five weeks.

MsRT · 19/11/2022 22:08

Ah congratulations @TheBirdintheCave 🥰

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage in April but glad to hear you’re feeling calm.

I’m obsessed with testing on cheapies too (I’m doing about 2 a day at the minute 😳). Good plan with testing until a dye stealer. Think I’m going to do the same x

ChloeN · 19/11/2022 22:17

@AnnieApple123 I know it’s crazy isn’t it especially when you can get it in words 🤣 I wasn’t sure what to do about line progression, I’d really just like to get a 3+ on a digital!

@TheBirdintheCave aww yay so glad to see you here and lovely we will be due around the same time🥰❤️I feel the same, I’ve got a better feeling about this one and im learning to try trust my gut so hopefully all will be okay!

@MsRT which cheapies are you using? I’ve got the easy@home ones and they seem pretty good! I did one tonight with really diluted wee and there was still a line which I thinks pretty good🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 19/11/2022 22:22

I think a lot of early testing, for me anyway, is about exerting some form of placebo control over the uncontrollable. I have no idea what my body is doing but I can form a routine of peeing on a stick every morning, setting them up in a line and writing numbers on them.

AnnieApple123 · 20/11/2022 08:34

Welcome @TheBirdintheCave !

My trouble is that I fear getting myself into a huge panic if the line doesn’t seem be progressing much. Hence I’ve not tested this morning. Although I’ve saved my first ‘sample’ of the day so I have option of changing my mind later!

Last time I got myself in a mess with the Clearblue weekly indicators. I got a 3+ several days early and started to worry about twins (which I really wasn’t keen on) or a molar pregnancy. All turned out absolutely fine though and I went on to have one healthy baby.

@AnnieApple123 I ended up testing again this morning, don’t know when I’ll be able to resist🥹🤣

AnnieApple123 · 20/11/2022 08:47

@ChloeN I was just like that last time. I still have the whole collection saved somewhere.

OP posts:
MsRT · 20/11/2022 08:49

@ChloeN i use the one step ones off Amazon. Got loads for about a fiver I think! Much less spenny than buying FRERs etc. Easy @ home are good too.

I’ve resisted testing this morning but I do find that I get stronger readings in the evening so I’ll report back later 👀

MsRT · 20/11/2022 08:50

@AnnieApple123 me too. I look at the collection and it makes me shocked at how much I spent on pregnancy tests!

ChloeN · 20/11/2022 08:59

@AnnieApple123 ideally I’d like to retest on Thursday when my period is due, will I be able to wait till then tho lol🤣 I done a weeks indicator this morning so won’t do another for another week or so

@MsRT never tried those ones! I ordered a pack of clearblue so I could do those early ones and then it came with a digital too😅 I need to try and stick to using the cheapies if I’m doing them everyday, don’t want to bankrupt myself🤦🏻‍♀️

AnnieApple123 · 20/11/2022 09:55

I’m afraid I was treble î

AnnieApple123 · 20/11/2022 09:57

Sorry, my toddler jogged my hand!

I’m afraid I was terrible with OPK smiley sticks and spent a small fortune on those too.

I always remember the time the plumber came round unexpectedly early and I’d got a sample ready in the bathroom but hadn’t got round to testing it yet. I had to think quickly and couldn’t think of an obvious place to hide it, so just put it on the kitchen table and hoped he’d assume it was apple juice!

Sorry meant to reply to this before. It’s so hard to get just the gap you want, isn’t it? This pregnancy has taken quite a while and I was starting to worry about the gap getting too big. If this one doesn’t work out it will be 3.5+ most likely and maybe even a lot more.

All hopefully being well though, my little boy was going to start nursery in September which may not be a great time now with a brand new baby. We’ll have to see…
