It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@PumpkinEverything I've had an upset stomach in all three pregnancies. Sorry it's making you feel anxious :(

sally16 · 06/12/2022 11:24

@AnnieApple123 I'm going to mention this too them and try and find where I can buy it haha.

DS has just been sent home from nursery with suspected strep.. so now awaiting drs calling back.. he seems fine.. and now my day to myself is not to myself 🤣

@TheBirdintheCave I'm hoping for a girl too but I wouldn't be too upset if we had another boy, mostly because I already have a stash of boys clothing and boys are wild, which I enjoy 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 11:28

@sally16 Yeah I'd get over it eventually but I really do want a girl 😅I think it's also the pity I'd get from other people, especially those who already have daughters.

sally16 · 06/12/2022 11:36

@TheBirdintheCave my friends daughter hates dresses, bows and unicorns etc, it's like she has two boys 🤣 so I try to think it doesn't matter really 😆

TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 11:39

@sally16 I hate those things too, I'm not really after someone to dress up just... someone to share the female experience in my household. And also maybe someone who looks a little like me. My son is about 90% my husband and 10% my brother 😂 He doesn't look anything like me.

sally16 · 06/12/2022 11:45

@TheBirdintheCave my son looks like my sister 😂 I fear if we have a girl they'll be 6ft4 and build like a tank 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 11:48

@sally16 Haha oh dear! 😂

BusyBushBaby · 06/12/2022 12:47

I'm still lifting my toddler as normal.

I'm super tempted by the sneak peak test. I just want to know as much as possible about this baby as soon as possible! Not sure if we'll go for it or not as money is tight and I'm expecting to pay for reassurance scans, but I know I'd like to. We'll think about it our viability scan goes well.

One of the things that upset me about my losses was I knew so little about them. It was too early to tell the sex by looking. The last one was supposed to undergo genetic analysis which would have hopefully given us some answers, but the hospital messed up and didn't do it.

MaraudingMother · 06/12/2022 13:15

@BusyBushBaby the reviews for the uk tests aren't very good at all! Apparently with the Royal Mail strikes etc the turn around is awful and some don't even receive results xx

TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 13:40

Well, I've just had some brown spotting so it looks like I'm right and that this pregnancy will go the same way at the MMC. My husband is calling the EPU now :( I have left over progesterone from my last miscarriage. Should I start taking that just in case? 🤔

ellie0605 · 06/12/2022 13:40

We had our scan this morning and thankfully all was well despite the bleed last week!
Around 6 weeks with the little heart beating away!
We plan to have a private NIPT where they will test the gender but we're not doing it because we can find out the gender... if that makes sense? At work I've heard of quite a few sneak peaks coming back wrong!

Congratulations, pleased to hear everything went well 😍

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that. I have no idea, I'm a first time mama and this is my first time pregnant, hopefully one of the experienced ones on here can give some advice
Hope everything goes well!

ellie0605 · 06/12/2022 14:17

@TheBirdintheCave hopefully all will be fine! I had a bleed last week and everything is still ok. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Hopefully epu will see you soon!

AnnieApple123 · 06/12/2022 14:23

@TheBirdintheCave Hope @ellie0605 ’s post gives you hope. I wanted to reply to you earlier to say that I had virtually no symptoms in my last pregnancy and all turned out fine. Everything crossed for you. xx

So glad all is OK @ellie0605 . Must be such a relief. xx

Apologies if I worried anyone by mentioning lifting toddlers. I’m just being paranoid, I’m sure.

@sally16 This tart cherry juice is supposed to be just the thing (I know ‘cos I almost took it myself instead of melatonin). Biona Organic Tart Cherry Pure Juice, 1L amzn.eu/d/4htBtTi

@ellie0605 I'm glad you had a good outcome :) I'm not sure it will go the same way for me, but I so hope it will.

ChloeN · 06/12/2022 15:05

@TheBirdintheCave i would take the progesterone, I can’t see it doing any harm?

@ellie0605 what lovely news 🥰

TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 15:10

@ChloeN I'll wait and see if I can get a scan tomorrow first and then I can ask then hopefully.

I can't believe this is happening again. I was so convinced we were just unlucky last time and deserved a normal pregnancy now :(

Amme18 · 06/12/2022 15:13

@TheBirdintheCave I have my fingers crossed from you. I had a couple of bleeds around 6 weeks with my son, all was fine. I don’t mean to get your hopes up but it doesn’t always mean a loss either xx

Jadeelx · 06/12/2022 16:43

@TheBirdintheCave sorry to hear that, I went to the EPU for the same reason today and I saw the heart bear but she’s prescribed progesterone as she can see some bleeding in there. It’s so hard to know all we can do is be positive. Can you walk into the EPU? Mine do walk ins.
I had a miscarriage and normal pregnancies with bleeding, try not to feel like it only means one thing. With my son I had bleeding and started progesterone and I ended up ok, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for us both 🙏🏻

Jadeelx · 06/12/2022 16:46

Mine looks like a circle in a circle!
@BusyBushBaby I’ve ordered a sneak peak, curious to know if it’s right! This is my last pregnancy so I think I want to give it a go…

Due August 2023?
TheBirdintheCave · 06/12/2022 16:47

@Jadeelx Sorry to hear you've been bleeding too :( I'm glad you saw a heart beat though! Ours doesn't do walk ins sadly, we have to have an appointment. I'm so tempted to just start taking the progesterone I have left tonight just in case. I have 15 days worth left over from April. Fingers crossed for you too!

ChloeN · 06/12/2022 16:50

@TheBirdintheCave have you heard back from epu yet? X

Jadeelx · 06/12/2022 16:51

@TheBirdintheCave I’ve had spotting on and off the whole time to be honest but not too bad to worry but also a bit of pain, I was a bit concerned it could be ectopic the more it went on.
Well it won’t do any harm taking it, I asked that question today. Hopefully you get some reassurance tomorrow 🙏🏻
