It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@ChloeN I think there's a point where your test line is darker than your control line and pregnancy tests are pretty useless after that. That's my target with the cheapies. I think it normally happens when you get to 20+dpo.

Mulner88 · 21/11/2022 10:22

@ChloeN I'm 12DPO so I know it's still quite early but happy enough with the line...just want to see it get darker as the days go 🙈 but yeh, I might wait 2 weeks and use my digital. I will prob end up getting another until I can see the 3+

ChloeN · 21/11/2022 10:25

@TheBirdintheCave ah got a little while yet then, I may need some more cheapies at this rate🙈

@Mulner88 Im either 11/12 dpo too, think probably more like 12! You need to stop me using my digital sooner🤣

ellie0605 · 21/11/2022 10:27

I managed to not test at all yesterday and I feel so proud of myself!
I hate this stage of pregnancy where it's so many unknowns!

overwork · 21/11/2022 10:42

Can I ask why most of you are hoping for a 3 weeks result on a digital test? Is it some kind of milestone I should be looking out for? I just tested the once to see if my hunch was correct, but it was after my period was due so I didn't need to do lots of tests. I was thinking I'll book a private scan when I'm 7 weeks, especially if I'm still feeling symptomless. Annoyingly I'm actually a sonographer, but I don't want any of my colleagues to know I'm until I've got my own thoughts straight on the whole thing.

ChloeN · 21/11/2022 10:48

@overwork I guess just to see if your hcg is rising as it should! Although for me my tests all looked perfect last time but it ended in mmc so I guess it makes no difference in the end, just nice to see ☺️

Mulner88 · 21/11/2022 10:52

@overwork yeh I think I'm the same as what @ChloeN said, although in the long term, it isn't a given to how the pregnancy will turn out. I think it's more of a short term reassurance. The last time I got pregnant, I just did x1 FRER and x1 digital which read 1-2 weeks and didn't do anymore testing as I was clueless to the whole thing. So I think this time, just wanted to see if I can reach that and then whatever happens after happens. It's so hard when you're not in control.
My EPU said when I get pregnant again to call them for an early reassurance scan, so might call them to book in a 7 or 8 week scan.

overwork · 21/11/2022 11:00

Thankyou for the clarification! I think I'll not test again then.

AnnieApple123 · 21/11/2022 11:16

@overwork I wanted to get a 3+ last time for reassurance that my HCG was continuing to rise. This backfired though when I got it earlier than expected and managed to convince myself it was a molar pregnancy. Not sure I’ll do one this time!

@ellie0605 I didn’t test yesterday and haven’t so far today, although I have samples saved from both days. I’m honestly feeling calmer for not having done so.

My sense of smell has suddenly really heightened. As soon as someone got on my train this morning, I could smell their aftershave or perfume strongly from the other side of the carriage. I feel like this must be what it’s like to be a dog!

TheBirdintheCave · 21/11/2022 11:32

@Mulner88 I get one of those too. I'm waiting until six weeks to contact them though. I do feel more positive about this pregnancy but I'm pretty cautious as well.

@overwork I think it just feels like a milestone. For me it would be nice to just see '3+' and maybe it would help me feel confident enough to register the pregnancy.

MsRT · 21/11/2022 12:03

@overwork for me it’s reassurance that’s my HCG is continuing to rise. It felt like a milestone last time!

@ellie0605 I wish I had your will power 🤣 well done.

thank you everyone. I’m feeling quite emotional today! X

AnnieApple123 · 22/11/2022 07:11

How is everyone this morning?

I’ve had a good strong line at 14/15 dpo and have decided I’m going to stop testing now and just hope for the best, as waiting those lines to appear is just so stressful.

OP posts:
ChloeN · 22/11/2022 07:43

@AnnieApple123 ahh that’s good, wish I had your willpower!🤣 I’m either 12/13 dpo today but I’ve never tested this early before so I don’t know what the lines should look like! I might give tomorrow a miss then retest Thursday when af should of been, if I can resist 🤦🏻‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 22/11/2022 08:09

I'm ok. Boobs are getting sorer and my nausea is getting a bit worse. Lines are ok still I think.

Due August 2023?
ChloeN · 22/11/2022 08:31

@TheBirdintheCave i bloody chucked all my tests so now I have to do line progression on a layout app🤦🏻‍♀️ **

TheBirdintheCave · 22/11/2022 08:32

@ChloeN Throwing them away is probably a better idea to be honest. I do get a bit obsessed 😅

Mulner88 · 22/11/2022 08:41

@TheBirdintheCave those lines look great! My boobs are starting to become more sensitive and heavy. Apart from that, don't really feel much different. I do find though my mouth has become more watery like producing more saliva, but not necessarily feeling nauseous yet

ChloeN · 22/11/2022 08:42

@TheBirdintheCave its hard isn’t it 🤣 does this look as expected, it’s either 10-12dpo or 11-13dpo not 100% on dates?
The clearblue are 2 days apart xx

AnnieApple123 · 22/11/2022 08:44

@TheBirdintheCave Those lines look great!

My early tests have started to go all yellow and horrible now. I’m regretting not getting better pictures of them when they were fresh. I have great pictures for my 2.5 year-old and always intended to put them in a book but of course I still haven’t got around to it yet…

OP posts:
AnnieApple123 · 22/11/2022 08:47

@ChloeN honestly, I’ve come to hate doing tests now so it’s not taking much willpower at all. I’ve also used up all the tests I had so there’s no temptation in the house!

AnnieApple123 · 22/11/2022 08:48

@ChloeN X-posted with you. Yes looks great to me.

@AnnieApple123 thank you! I’ve still got loads left so I find it hard to resist🤣🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 22/11/2022 08:51

@ChloeN Looks good to me :)

AnnieApple123 · 22/11/2022 09:02

Has anyone told anyone in real life yet? It’s occurred to me that I’ve told quite a lot of people already.

Yes haha I an autistic and can't lie so find it really hard to keep secrets if asked something outright 😂

I've told: mum, dad, brother, three best friends, Zumba instructor (as I had to) and my toddler's childminder (as she asked if we had been able to rebook our IVF appointment).
