It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@MsRT so sorry to hear of your loss. Must be incredibly hard. Totally understand you not wanting to share any more widely at the moment.

My mum has asked me not to tell my dad yet. He’s had a lot of health issues this year including several difficult waits for biopsy results and she’s worried it will just increase his anxiety even more. This feels odd though as last time I’d told him within a few hours of the first line appearing.

Had a bit of a panic this morning, did a cheapie and it didn’t look any different to yesterday, did another and looked so much darker using the same fmu. Think I must have 2 different batches of tests but look at the difference 🤯 I think I need to take a testing break 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyone else do an LH out of interest too?🤣 I got the highest reading I’ve ever had today lol my peaks are normally so low

Due August 2023?
TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 07:12

@ChloeN My line is basically the same as yesterday's and I haven't retched today (all other symptoms the same) so now I'm on the edge of a panic 😭 This part of pregnancy is just so horrible.

ellie0605 · 23/11/2022 07:13

This happened to me with tests on Monday and it put me off testing as it was so stressful!!

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 07:33

Yep, I’ve had similar panics here. All has since picked up again, so don’t despair.

@ChloeN I haven’t tested LH this time but did in my pregnancy and also got some super strong lines.

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 07:37

*did in my last pregnancy!

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 07:40

@TheBirdintheCave if I hadn’t of done the other tests I would of been so panicked, I don’t know why that other test is so much lighter but the control line is mega dark too🤦🏻‍♀️

@ellie0605 have you managed to not test since? Xx

@AnnieApple123 its a bit bad really I like to put it on Premom so I can see it going up 😭🤣 I need to stop

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 07:45

@ChloeN I’m honestly feeling much less stressed now I’m not testing.

Here’s an OPK from my last pregnancy. I’ve never seen it that dark from just an LH surge.

Due August 2023?

@AnnieApple123 crazy how dark they go!! I’m going to try and stop now, it helps when I get a darker line but for about 5 mins then I’m already wanting to see how dark it gets the next day!

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 07:50

Yes, I agree, the panic sets in again very quickly.

ellie0605 · 23/11/2022 08:04

@ChloeN I haven't tested since Saturday and I'm so less stressed now! It's so tempting though!!

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 08:22

@ellie0605 omg you’re doing so well!! Im crap I can’t help myself😭🤣 I think at the start I just wanted to make sure it was real but now my lines look okay I guess I should stop🤦🏻‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 08:27

I feel like I need to know the minute this pregnancy starts going wrong (if it does) just so I can prepare myself rather than be surprised by it :/ I can't stop myself testing.

I'm trying to reassure myself that so far it's nothing like the MMC. I've had no bleeding, my boobs still really hurt and my lines are so much darker than they were at this point then.

It's just so hard to stay positive and calm.

I just want the baby to be ok and never have to be in the position of TTC again 😂

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 09:09

@TheBirdintheCave Yes the thought of never having to TTC again feels very attractive to me too! Realistically this will likely be my last baby now.

@ChloeN oh bless you!! Cheapies have put me on edge for the whole week until I did the first responses.

I’ve ditched the cheapies and doing a first response untilI I run out (I’ve got 4 left).

I didn’t panic like this when I was pregnant with my son so no idea what’s got into me! X

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 10:19

I'm glad it's not just me who's nervous! I'm not feeling many symptoms this morning so am a bit anxious. I didn't test as I'm aiming for every other day.

I'm counting every day to get to week 5 so risk of chemical is over, but I know then I'll be counting every day until week 6 and so on. When do we get to relax?!

Every other day is probably a better idea as there'll be a clearer change in colour then. I'm chiefly using one a day to use them up quicker. I have a load of cheapies left and won't be buying any more after they're gone. I have enough to go to day 25 and I'm 16dpo today.

I'm not sure we do get to relax 😅 I think I chilled out a little with my son after the first scan and then more so after the second but I think getting past 24 weeks was when I started to accept that I might actually be having a baby 😂

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 11:53

Also really glad to know I’m not the only one who’s worrying.

This is a handy and reassuring little tool if you don’t already know about it. By about 8 weeks, your risk of miscarriage is almost as low as at 12 weeks.

@MsRT I’m so glad I had the clearblue really put my mind at ease, just a shame those and first response are so much more expensive! It’s an odd feeling being so panicked but honestly I’m better than I thought, I imagined I would be a mess crying everyday 🤣

@DesertSnow its just constant worry isn’t it, I’m just grateful I’ll be really busy in December to take my mind off it!

@TheBirdintheCave i think I’ll feel better when I feel movement but then again that’s something else to panic about 🤯🤦🏻‍♀️

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 12:17

@AnnieApple123 thanks for sharing the tool, it's useful to see stats.

@ChloeN yep, just constant! Though you're right, December is such a busy month hopefully we'll be able to distract ourselves. Just dreading testing and getting a fainter line, or something happening.

Everything crossed for us all. I was hesitant about joining this thread in case something happened and I was jinxing it or something, but I'm glad I did as we can all understand what's going on and how anxiety-inducing it is 💖

MsRT · 23/11/2022 12:21

Thank you @AnnieApple123. I remember seeing that last time and it helped lots! X

same here @DesertSnow ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 12:45

Ah yes that stats website is helpful :) I keep trying to remind myself I'm more likely to end up with a baby than another miscarriage.

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 13:36

Isn’t it awful that literally all of us are so anxious 😖 I wish it could just be a happy and exciting time like it should be for us all!

overwork · 23/11/2022 14:00

I started to fill out all the midwife referral stuff the other day, and was convinced I decided not to send it until I was more certain this is going to work out. Must have sent it though as I've just had an email with a booking appointment for 22nd Dec. This is all seeming very real now.

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 14:16

Honestly it’s quite a comfort to me to know that others are worrying too. I was giving myself little tellings off before saying, ‘Come on! You’ve got what you wanted. Can’t you just be happy and relax now?!’

@overwork I’ve just got my first obstetrician appointment date for Dec 19th when I’ll be 8 weeks. I’ll have more thyroid bloods right before that too so that the results can be reviewed. It’s definitely seeming real!
