It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@overwork @AnnieApple123 Exciting that you have appointment dates :D Maybe I'll be brave enough to do it at five weeks. Maybe.

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 14:47

@TheBirdintheCave I’m not sure how I feel about it really. Excited but still very nervous at the same time I guess.

@TheBirdintheCave I'm thinking 5 weeks too. When will that be for you? This Saturday for me. I swear time is just crawling!

@ChloeN totally agree it's sad we're all so anxious but at least we're in it together. And as @AnnieApple123 says it's reassuring we all feel this way.

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 15:10

@DesertSnow 5 weeks is Monday for me based on when I ovulated which irritatingly is a week later than average so I've had to correct my LMP and move it forward by seven days.

Time is definitely crawling 😂

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 15:19

@DesertSnow @TheBirdintheCave ive not even made it to the 4 week mark yet, 3 weeks 6 days today🤣 I think the next couple of months will probably be the longest ever

xylophone · 23/11/2022 15:23

Hi all!

Please can I join? I’m slightly illegal because my due date is actually 31 July but I can see there are a few others with similar dates.

I’m 38 and finally pregnant after 6 years TTC. Very hard to believe it’s true. It’s an IVF pregnancy (3rd attempt) so I know it’s slightly higher risk. As a result I’m not really telling anyone yet and just crossing my fingers very tightly. Which is why it’s really nice to join this thread.

I have OHSS but not seriously enough to be in hospital and don’t have any real pregnancy symptoms that can’t be attributed to the 3x daily progesterone.

A small dilemma for us is we have our wedding booked for 7th July 🤔 So…change the date asap (and have to tell guests why?) / do nothing until first scan because it’s far too early, but then it’s too late to bring the date forward / just get married 8 months pregnant?! I don’t know!

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 15:36

Welcome and congratulations @xylophone! I can't imagine how exciting and terrifying it must be for you after such a long journey.

And yes, a fair few of us are 31st of July. It seemed silly to me to join the July thread as I'd likely be almost four weeks behind the others and it's nice to share the anxiety with people who are in a similar boat! :)

Your wedding date is a tough one :/ I'm not sure what I'd do in your shoes.

If you changed the date now you wouldn't need to tell your guests the real reason. You could just make something up like the venue offered you an earlier date and you decided to go for it. Would it interfere with photographers or hairdressers etc though? Or are those not booked yet?

Gracie87 · 23/11/2022 15:37

Hello, and congratulations to you all! I got a positive yesterday 11 DPO which I think means the due date would be 1st August, but I'm struggling to take it on board as don't feel any symptoms whatsoever and felt like I knew at about 3 DPO with previous pregnancies (one early mc and one boy who is now 21 months) as I was bloated and nauseous, insanely heightened sense of smell and very tender boots! Has anyone else had different reactions to different pregnancies in the early stages? Should I be worried about a lack of symptoms do you think?!

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 15:55

@xylophone slightly illegal🤣 amazing news congratulations you must be so pleased ❤️ I don’t know what I’d do about the wedding tbh, like @TheBirdintheCave said you could just move it now and tell people you’re too excited to wait any longer? Are you just concerned you won’t be able to enjoy it as much being so pregnant? X

@Gracie87 hey lovely, congratulations!! I’ve felt different this time, but my last pregancy was a mmc so in a way im grateful because im hoping this one I’ll actually get my baby! I had implantation bleeding first time so when I didn’t get that this cycle I thought I was out! It’s hard not to panic though xx

Gracie87 · 23/11/2022 16:12

It is hard not to panic, @ChloeN! I will try and stay cool and stop doing needless pregnancy tests for now though 😅. And I guess the plus side is that I feel absolutely fine! Sorry to hear about your mc, hope things turn out better this time for all of us!

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 16:20

@xylophone 'slightly illegal' made me laugh! 😂 Welcome and congratulations, sounds like such a tough journey for you. I think lots of babies (at least first ones) tend to show up a bit late, so makes sense you're here. On the wedding question I think I'd try and move it forward. Obv it's early days but the earlier you move stuff the easier. Though depends on what you've got booked/ordered already and how you might feel being a pregnant or a very pregnant bride. I got married 3 weeks ago and we held off on ttc till 2 cycles before as thought the logistics would be difficult otherwise. I actually conceived just after the wedding on our honeymoon which just feels so surreal 💖

Hi @Gracie87 congratulations and welcome. I've read that pregnancies differ so much, even for the same woman, so try not to worry about symptoms. Easier said than done! I can't believe I'm almost wishing for nausea so feel it's more real.

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 16:23

@DesertSnow im desperate to feel sick too🥹😂

DesertSnow · 23/11/2022 16:26

@ChloeN we're mad! 🤣 But I'm glad you get it! I feel full and get a bit crampy and burpy after eating, but nothing I could say is nausea...

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 16:49

@DesertSnow i feel sick, have we manifested it😂

Mulner88 · 23/11/2022 16:51

This group has been very active today and just catching up on messages 😊

Welcome @xylophone and congrats 😊 it seemed to be a long road for you so fingers crossed all goes okay.
@Gracie87 I'm kinda the same. No real symptoms at all and it panics me. My boobs are becoming more sensitive but maybe it's just too early for symptoms? I think maybe it kicks in from week 6 onwards? Not sure as this is my first baby and never made it past 7 weeks with my last pregnancy and didn't have much symptoms then either. My friend had zero symptoms to the point where she didn't feel she was pregnant the whole way through so it's not uncommon not to have symptoms.

I also did another test this morning 🙈 it's addictive and my husband thinks I've gone crazy!

I have just got off the phone to EPU and have my reassurance scan booked for 6th Dec! Think will fill out the form now and send to get a date for my booking appointment.

Hope everyone is having a nice day! Once work is over, it's all I can think about!

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 17:26

@Mulner88 Wow that's so soon! How many weeks will you be then? I thought they'd only do reassurance scans around eight weeks.

Mulner88 · 23/11/2022 17:30

@TheBirdintheCave I know I thought that was soon too and I we thinking afterwards I wish it was a bit later. I might call them back tomorrow and see if they have a later date as I'd rather it to be around 8 weeks. I'd be between 6-7 weeks by then. Makes more sense for it to be around 8 weeks!

Mulner88 · 23/11/2022 17:55

I've just called EPU back to reschedule and now it's the 15th Dec so feeling a bit better that's it's closer to 8 weeks 🤞🏼

TheBirdintheCave · 23/11/2022 18:18

@Mulner88 Glad they could give you a later date :D

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 18:59

@Mulner88 are you getting the scan because of multiple losses?xx
I asked when I was at epu last time and they told me I wouldn’t be able to have one next time for only one loss!

ellie0605 · 23/11/2022 19:03

@ChloeN that's terrible!! I bet if you phone them and say you're really anxious they'll book you in!!

ChloeN · 23/11/2022 19:16

@ellie0605 another lady at epu did I say I could lie and pretend I had cramps but that seemed a bit wrong to make it up, wish they just offered them really! Xx

Mulner88 · 23/11/2022 19:39

@ChloeN it may differ depending on area? Although it maybe because I had a suspected ectopic pregnancy due to my Hcg levels not decreasing as they should when I was miscarrying and had to go back a few times for bloods etc. Although in the end, they did put it down to just a normal MC.

AnnieApple123 · 23/11/2022 20:50

Welcome @Gracie87 and @xylophone !

You could always get an early scan done privately if you want the reassurance. Depending on where you’re based they’re normally £100-200. I’m considering doing this. I enquired about it the other day and they say from 6+5 onwards is the best time as you should be able to see a heartbeat by then.

@xylophone gosh that’s quite a dilemma about your wedding. Not sure what I would do. How soon could you bring it forward to?
