Cramping and spotting 5 weeks

Crushed as I write this, had some cramps earlier which were very much like medium AF cramps. Lasted about 15 mins then went away, now a hour later I’ve some light pinkish/brownish spotting but cramps have completely gone.

I’m dreading the worst, last cycle I had a chemical at 4 weeks 3 days. Was just starting to get a little excited thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. Any one have any similar experiences either good or bad? I’m anxious that as the spotting happened so soon after the cramping that it could end up being another loss but on the other hand I’d assume I’d still be cramping if it were?

@Wannabemo Thank you ❤️ I had cramping in the night on Sunday & a dull pain in my right hand side I'm guessing it was just things expanding but I was worried! X

Wannabemo · 30/11/2022 19:42

I hope that’s the case for me too 🤞🏽🤞🏽 Every twinge is a worry after a mc :( xx

TTCournumberthree · 30/11/2022 20:06

@polkadotdasies88 great news! These things just seem to happen don’t they. I bet it’s a relief with it being pin pointed.

@Wannabemo I’ve been a bit crampy the last couple of days but no spotting at all, I have been a little constipated could be related to that x

@TTCournumberthree I’m the exact same and so bloated and took terrible care sick today !!! Xx

polkadotdasies88 · 30/11/2022 21:42

@Wannabemo I've got everything crossed, everything is such a worry isn't it ❤️x

TTCournumberthree · 30/11/2022 22:34

@Wannabemo I’m sure I’m loosing weight, I can’t stomach or even bear the smell of most foods. The first trimester is terrible but grateful that we’re growing our number 3 baby x

@polkadotdasies88 sooo happy! I was relieved too when I found the reason for mine, mine eventually came out in a big bleed and has since totally stopped.

@TTCournumberthree my sickness has been horrific! I'd actually lost weight, but touch wood last couple of days is not constant and just on and off, I'm 12 weeks Monday so praying everything is okay still and it's just the placenta taking over!

@Wannabemo yes I get cramps, some days none some days I have it on and off throughout the day! Xx

polkadotdasies88 · 01/12/2022 13:18

@Moosh18 I actually thought of you straight away when the Dr told me what it was! I'm prepared incase that happens to me too, the lovely Dr at the EPU told me to go back any time if I have any worries or concerns. I mean I think I'll still continue to worry because that's just me 🤣🤦

Moosh18 · 01/12/2022 14:22

@polkadotdasies88 oh I'm still terrified! They can re absorb and just shrink on there own so that may not happen! Mine was only small when they found it as it was after the big bleed xx

polkadotdasies88 · 05/12/2022 09:31

How's everyone doing? I've got my booking in appointment this morning. I'm 9w and the nausea is intense & constant. I'm sick first thing in a morning, it's just bile but I can feel it building from the moment my eyes open. Spotting is very mild now but I'm still expecting it to ramp up again. Did anyone else's sickness peak around 9w? Beginning to wonder if I'm going to be able to face my Christmas dinner! 😩🤣🤞

Moosh18 · 05/12/2022 09:44

@polkadotdasies88 sorry you are struggling:( I'm 12 weeks today, mine isn't constant anymore but it's half a day everyday and it's so bad on an evening, mine was at its absolute worst 9-11.

I've got my 12 week scan Wednesday and I feel sick at the thought x

Wannabemo · 05/12/2022 12:45

Hey all I don’t really have bad nausea just waves I’m almost 9 weeks I think, I maybe book a scan! My spotting has stopped now for over a week which is great but now thinking something is wrong as I don’t have it anymore lolol it’s never ending ! X

polkadotdasies88 · 05/12/2022 13:23

@Moosh18 I've got everything crossed for you on Wednesday, please let us know how you get on❤️

@Wannabemo I'm the same with my spotting, worry when it's there and worry when it's not!! X

TTCournumberthree · 05/12/2022 19:50

Hi everyone,

@polkadotdasies88 mine is still just nausea but seemed a bit stronger last few days. I’m 10 weeks today/yesterday (going by scan) I do hope your spotting stops soon.

@Moosh18 dont be worried it will all be fine 🙂

@Wannabemo mine has stopped for weeks now , i had it from 5-6 weeks. I wouldn’t think it a bad thing.

Have my MRI app Wednesday that’s only thing new here really

My spotting has stopped now, I had it continuously from 6-10 xx

Wannabemo · 05/12/2022 20:19

Mines was from about 4-7.5 weeks, I’m going to try get a scan this week to put my mind at ease I think.
good luck at your mri @TTCournumberthree.
X

polkadotdasies88 · 05/12/2022 21:01

@TTCournumberthree Hope your MRI goes well ❤️

Moosh18 · 06/12/2022 06:20

@TTCournumberthree thinking of you for mri! I had to have one in last pregnancy, xxxxx

TTCournumberthree · 06/12/2022 08:43

@Moosh18 @Wannabemo @polkadotdasies88 thank you, hopefully hasn’t grown anymore 🤞🏼

TTCournumberthree · 06/12/2022 08:45

@Moosh18 can I ask what the advice before the MRI was? With the post strikes I haven’t had the appointment letter through just the call from the midwife.

did you have to restrain from eating or drinking etc? Have to wear certain clothes? X

Moosh18 · 06/12/2022 08:59

They will most likely give you a gown to wear, I'd leave all jewellery etc at home, it's magnets so no metal, I wasn't told not to eat or drink beforehand so carried on as normal. You aren't given any medication so will feel totally normal after xx

Thank you! Letter finally arrived saying same. Will be glad to have it done and see what’s going on with this cyst now

OP posts:
Moosh18 · 07/12/2022 07:05

@TTCournumberthree hopefully it has shrunk, but I am betting they won't intervene they will just want to check the location make sure it won't press on placenta or anything or restrict blood flow. I have had a cyst in every pregnancy and it's always gone away on its own! Good luck and thinking of you! Xxxx

TTCournumberthree · 07/12/2022 08:53

Thank you! I’m hoping it’s shrunk too, as long as it doesn’t affect baby I’m not too worried. We’re also going to book a private scan for next Thursday before we tell family. So excited to start letting everyone know! X
