Cramping and spotting 5 weeks

Crushed as I write this, had some cramps earlier which were very much like medium AF cramps. Lasted about 15 mins then went away, now a hour later I’ve some light pinkish/brownish spotting but cramps have completely gone.

I’m dreading the worst, last cycle I had a chemical at 4 weeks 3 days. Was just starting to get a little excited thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. Any one have any similar experiences either good or bad? I’m anxious that as the spotting happened so soon after the cramping that it could end up being another loss but on the other hand I’d assume I’d still be cramping if it were?

I've had some more spotting in the past 24 hours & this morning it was heavier with a small area of blood on my pad which has never happened, it's only been when I've wiped previously 😞 I've had a few twinges and weird sensations in the past 24 hours too, wouldn't describe them as painful although I'm hyper vigilant at the moment I think. But had no more blood since that.
Going to monitor it and then ring the EPU tomorrow, I don't want to pester them but this is more than I've had previously & again I'm starting to think the worst so hopefully they won't mind.
I'm 8 weeks on Saturday and finding this so tough it's such a rollercoaster 😞

@polkadotdasies88 please don't stress too much, I had continuous spotting non stop from 6 weeks right up until a few days ago, mine only really stopped when I had that massive bleed, then turned brown and finally stopped, but before that my spotting was constant! X

Iv been the same wee episodes of heavier spotting. Woke up the other day and had some on my underwear. But went away a while after.
it’s so so so hard not to worry and stress! I’m the exact same every day it’s horrible hoping everything is ok, such a worry after a previous loss. I read a really good article today about a woman story who had a huge area of bleeding and it was her full story from start to finish, countless trips to the hospital with clots and a lot of bleeding, all was well for her I was so surprised reading the ending after seeing her scan and how big and close the sch was to her baby!!

@polkadotdasies88 its so much more common than we knew. Try not to stress but still contact EPU and hopefully they give you a scan to check things out x

@Moosh18 I'm ok, had a bit more spotting this morning so going to ring the EPU in the morning to see what they say just keep trying not to spiral thinking the worst.
Been feeling really nauseous this weekend & so tired 🤢 Been to my in laws this afternoon for a party, couldn't wear the dress I wanted to as my belly is so bloated I would've definitely got questioned! How are you doing? X

@polkadotdasies88 oh poor you! I had spotting right up until it stopped a few days ago finally! So that was from 6 - 10!

My sickness is horrific, I'm being sick so so many times a day

@polkadotdasies88 Definitely call EPU keep everything logged. Nausea is the absolute worst! Mine starts at 2pm, can’t go near the spices 🤢

Yeah we've told parents and our sisters, 12 week scan next week so hopefully all will be okay! Have you got 12 week scan date? X

Hi hope you don’t mind me jumping on the thread.

i found out I was pregnant about 4 weeks ago after being put on fertility medication and having symptoms. I got this confirmed at a scan in the hospital on Wednesday but was measuring around 10 days behind from going off ovulation and heartbeat wasn’t the strongest.

2 days before my scan I started spotting very pale pink and light. After my internal the spotting got heavier and more red for about 2 days. It has gone lighter but still spotting I am on around day 10 of spotting and it’s driving me insane.

I have phoned the hospital and they won’t re scan me till my app on Friday but I am worried sick waiting it feels like the longest wait. My cramps are very mild and come and go like I am going to start my period. Honestly don’t know what to think

@Lauren992 oh lovely it's so so stressful waiting. It's awful they won't see you sooner! Would you do a private in between? X

Hi @Lauren992 im so sorry to hear you’re having spotting. I would have to suggest a private scan if EPU are unwilling to scan atm. I used ultrasound directs clinic in Darlington and they had told me if I had anything to worry about that they would write a referral there and then.

Is there any chance you could have ovulated a little later? There’s always a chance you could have implanted late too x

just received my scan app today, 22nd of December. Planning on telling family the weekend before, we’re quite positive everything is well with baby x

I've had more spotting again this morning with small red flecks in, I can't see how this is anything but bad news 😞 Got a scan at EPU tomorrow 3pm. Once again I'm preparing for the worst.

Honestly the worst thing to go through. I had heavier bleeding this morning so went straight to bep and it was bad news. Keeping everything crossed for you x

It’s unfair how they make you wait, if you get worried go straight up I didn’t have a app but they didn’t turn me away and scanned me straight away, hope everything goes ok x

@Lauren992 The hospital I'm under have a gynecology A&E so should anything develop you can go and be seen which is quite good. Thanks lovely, the not knowing is so hard 😞

Thankfully everything was ok today, baby measuring bang on 8w 4d & they were wiggling around. I've got a pocket of blood Infront of the gestational sac, she said it's better it's Infront than behind and the baby / sac is bigger than the bleed. I feel better knowing where the blood is coming from, of course I'll still worry too but I know for now it's ok at least!
