Cramping and spotting 5 weeks

Crushed as I write this, had some cramps earlier which were very much like medium AF cramps. Lasted about 15 mins then went away, now a hour later I’ve some light pinkish/brownish spotting but cramps have completely gone.

I’m dreading the worst, last cycle I had a chemical at 4 weeks 3 days. Was just starting to get a little excited thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. Any one have any similar experiences either good or bad? I’m anxious that as the spotting happened so soon after the cramping that it could end up being another loss but on the other hand I’d assume I’d still be cramping if it were?

@Wannabemo I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I really hope it’s good news for you and that this is just a bad symptom xx

11:30 … with my mmc I had no bleeding and found out at a scan then had to wait another 10 days to bleed and get confirmation it was horrible!! I still had hcg in my system so still had symptoms it wasn’t nice at all.
This is totally different for me but equally horrible and I think I’m just lucky to have my DC.

im not sure how far along I am due to the Mc but must only be about 5/6 weeks yeah who knows lol. I feel absolutely rotten today in work not concentrating x

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 10:41

Thanks for all your well wishes and thoughts. Will speak to my DH after today as he still doesn’t really know.

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 10:53

@Wannabemo oh reallt you still had symptoms, I was clinging to the fact I was still sick as a positive sign!

that's so so awful having to wait, my care was pretty good after, I was 12 weeks so they knew there was no heartbeat that it was over it happened a few days before, they did the d and c within a day x

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 11:12

Yes right up until the scan and afterwards about a week I still felt very much pregnant. Boobs sore etc. i didn’t have any sickness so can’t really say based on that, mines didn’t have a heart beat probably stopped progressing and i found out about 8/9 weeks so it was horrible, it then took till week 10 for my body to recognise and I miscarried naturally :(
i was booked in if it hadn’t happened by a certain date thankfully it did.

I miscarried sept weekend and on the 17th of October it was still positive on a test - your body can play cruel tricks therefore I’ll never be excited while pregnant as anything can happen - I’m lucky I was clueless my first pregnant found out early had the usual fears but nothing like this, no mumsnet (although it this is good for advice and support) what will be wilL be at this appointment shortly. X

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 12:13

Well … 5 weeks sac, yolk sac and fetal pole all seen, no heart beat yet as too early she didn’t seem concerned Iv to go back next week 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Another long anxious week ahead but at least I know it’s a new pregnancy and not from the miscarriage. She didn’t mention the spotting just said it can happen.
i even got a pic 🥲🥲🥲🥲.

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 12:17

@Wannabemo that's amazing!!!! A feral pole at 5 weeks is incredible, ❤️

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 12:17

Fetal 😂

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 12:22

🤣🤣 anything like my DD probably a bit feral 😂.
aww what a relief for today and normal anxieties with resume soon . Thanks for listening to my winging xx

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 13:16

@Wannabemo So happy for you!! ❤️🎉

I'm still having light spotting today & even though the consultant said to me everything was fine unless it got much worse I'm still worrying! I never thought it would be this stressful 🙈

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 13:41

@polkadotdasies88 Thank you so much, I’m the exact same, will just have to hope for the best 🤞🏽🤞🏽 Xx

TTCournumberthree · 15/11/2022 14:20

@Wannabemo fantastic!! Maybe that spotting has to be with the two being so close together.

definitely let your OH know now lol xx

The scan was perfect!!!! I am in total shock!!! Baby measuring two days ahead again! It's growing fast! 😂 they found an ech, which is a patch of bruising so I may get some more bleeding or spotting, but baby was perfection x

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 15:39

@Moosh18 Fantastic news, so happy for you! 🎉❤️

TTCournumberthree · 15/11/2022 16:23

@Moosh18 I’m absolutely over the moon for you! Fantastic news.

i bet you feel so much better especially knowing what the cause of the spotting is now x

OP posts:
Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 16:25

I'm so glad they found a cause! It's only 10mm now so she said it could be shrinking but could still give me spotting so lesst I have an answer if I get some x

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 18:02

The nausea has hit me hard today, barely moved from the sofa & any mention of food I'm desperately trying not to gag 🙈
Got two family parties next week, both revolving around food! No idea how I'm going to handle them but for now I'm just glad to be experiencing symptoms ❤️

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 19:09

@Moosh18 amazing news!!!

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 19:24

@polkadotdasies88 sickness is so hard, I've had it really bad for about three or four weeks now, some days I literally can't function, others it isn't too bad, hopefully you'll get lucky and not feel too bad on those days! I had to do a meal last week and could of cried! X

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 19:34

@Moosh18 Us women really are incredible!! It's certainly stronger than it was yesterday so if it follows the same pattern of increasing each day then I think I'll just be hibernating. I had an inclination this might happen, I've never been able to tolerate the oestrogen pill as it made me throw up... I think I'm doomed 🤣

bubble55 · 15/11/2022 19:40

@Moosh18 i am so pleased for you x

TTCournumberthree · 15/11/2022 20:42

@Moosh18 I bet it’s taken away so much worry for you. Hopefully you don’t get anymore spotting.

Really feel for you ladies with sickness, there’s absolutely nothing worse!

I’m not suffering too much just more nausea at certain food smells, feeling sick if I’ve an empty stomach or aversions to some meals. Kinda wish I had a little more nausea but have to remind myself that last baby I were pretty much the same as this x
