Cramping and spotting 5 weeks

Crushed as I write this, had some cramps earlier which were very much like medium AF cramps. Lasted about 15 mins then went away, now a hour later I’ve some light pinkish/brownish spotting but cramps have completely gone.

I’m dreading the worst, last cycle I had a chemical at 4 weeks 3 days. Was just starting to get a little excited thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. Any one have any similar experiences either good or bad? I’m anxious that as the spotting happened so soon after the cramping that it could end up being another loss but on the other hand I’d assume I’d still be cramping if it were?

@TTCournumberthree Hope your scan went ok 🤞

Wannabemo · 07/12/2022 19:31

I had a scan tonight showing as 8+3 yayyy x

Moosh18 · 08/12/2022 08:40

@Wannabemo yaaaaaaaay ❤️❤️❤️

Time feels like it's going so slow!

TTCournumberthree · 08/12/2022 08:41

@Wannabemo fantastic news!

MRI was a bit daunting, super busy so I couldn’t speak to anyone and no clue at all of the results until my 12 week scan or if they call for me before.

The lady who prepped me said that they don’t usually do the scan in first tri. Has me a little concerned that it was rushed through but hopefully it’ll just show as your standard cyst.

Hope everyone here is doing well and enjoying the build up to Christmas.

updating the thread incase anyone reads through.

i’m now at 12 1/2 weeks, my NHS scan has shown everything to be going great with baby with no concerns.

Regarding the cyst I have, it’s quite a large one at 10cm but results of MRI are showing to be a fatty cysts with no immediate concerns and I shall be monitored and meet with a gyne/ob consultant at 20 week appointment.

Just came across this thread of ours! How are you all ladies???

TTCournumberthree · 20/04/2023 07:15

Hi @Moosh18 !!

29 + 4 today I can’t believe how fast it’s gone, baby is growing beautifully and kicking away all day. Have had a very complicated pregnancy, even though I feel fine I have developed placenta accreta and look to be delivering baby in abut 5/6 weeks and having to have a hysterectomy at delivery. Tomorrow I go to my first appointment at newcastle RVI in the specialist unit to meet the team and find out more. Completely shocked us and it’s took a little while to have it all sink in.

how are you doing? Xx

@TTCournumberthree oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I had suspected placenta accreta in my last pregnancy, mris talk of hysterectomies and everything, I can imagine it's been really hard to process. I hope you are doing okay!

I'm 31+4 baby being brought by section at 38 weeks so feels like time is passing quickly now, did you find out what you are having? X

Moo29 · 20/04/2023 12:24

Hi, I'd like to share my experience as I was googling like mad and driving myself crazy! I was spotting for a good 10 weeks, everytime I wiped there was blood with clots. Blood was coming out of me when I was in the shower and I was convinced that I was miscarrying. I had a scan at 6 weeks and 12 weeks and baby is doing great. Please go to the doctor and get it checked out they might refer you for a scan and put your mind at ease x

TTCournumberthree · 20/04/2023 12:52

@Moosh18 I never heard of it before now! I do hope for a miracle and tomorrow be told that it’s just previa 🤞🏼 I’m fully prepared though and just can’t wait to have a plan in action. You’re almost there too, it’s so exciting I can’t wait to meet our little one. Times flew, we haven’t found out what we’re having did you? X

@Moo29 sorry to hear you had a scare too. Unfortunately seems like some of us do hog through this.

thankfully I had no more spotting after 6 weeks, keeping fingers crossed that my previa and accreta doesn’t cause anymore before baby arrives

@Moo29 I'm so sorry, it's stressful, I had spotting on and off then at 8 weeks a huge huge bleed with clots then it tailed off and didn't have any after 11 weeks

@TTCournumberthree yes we are having a boy! Which is exciting as we have a 2yo DD

Have the confirmed acretta? They were almost certain it was with me, until my 28 week app xx

TTCournumberthree · 20/04/2023 13:19

@Moosh18

Fetal medicine consultant had given his opinion that it is accreta to some degree but newcastle RVI has to confirm tomorrow. Have attached a pic of my report there.

ah wow congratulations 💙 everyone is convinced we’re having a boy too. How strange would that be if we are both having boys, I’m looking forward to finally finding out when baby arrives

@TTCournumberthree hey lovely how are you?? X

TTCournumberthree · 20/06/2023 21:15

Hey @Moosh18

I am a very happy girl currently snuggled up with my beautiful 3 week old baby girl Vivienne 💖

had quite a time having her. I was confirm to have placenta percreta the most severe form placenta accreta spectrum. I had to have a full team of specialists from gynaecologists to radiologists and everything in between to have her, roughly 30 people in theatre. She was born 5 weeks early screaming and had 0 nicu time. I had to have a full hysterectomy including loosing that left ovary with the cyst and lost 5 litres of blood. It was a very rough first week but I’m getting better every day and totally besotted with our girl.

how are you doing?

@TTCournumberthree oh my gosh!!!! This was not the update I was expecting! I'm so so sorry you had such a difficult time! Your daughter is absolutely beautiful and her name is amazing! Congratulations! I hope you are recovering well! How is she??

I had my baby boy Hugo, two weeks ago via c section, no where near as scary as yours but am still struggling a bit in the after math!

@Moosh18

Hello Hugo! Oh he’s delightful, this is the best time isn’t it snuggled in the newborn bubble.

We knew what was to come but it was much worse than I’d imagined. Now looking back it’s just like a bad dream, I’m so focused on Vivienne and getting back on my feet I don’t have much time to dwell thankfully.

Make sure to take it easy, you’ll come to a point soon where you feel almost normal but you aren’t and any strenuous activity can set you back. Slow and steady and in another 4/6 weeks you’ll be as right as rain x

@TTCournumberthree I'm so sorry it was so traumatic I had a horrific experience with my DD and it took me a long time to get over mentally, I hope you recover soon!

This is the issue I've had im two weeks post section and thought I was improving and then ended up doing too much and feel like everything kicked off again! X
