Cramping and spotting 5 weeks

Crushed as I write this, had some cramps earlier which were very much like medium AF cramps. Lasted about 15 mins then went away, now a hour later I’ve some light pinkish/brownish spotting but cramps have completely gone.

I’m dreading the worst, last cycle I had a chemical at 4 weeks 3 days. Was just starting to get a little excited thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. Any one have any similar experiences either good or bad? I’m anxious that as the spotting happened so soon after the cramping that it could end up being another loss but on the other hand I’d assume I’d still be cramping if it were?

@Moosh18 id say the same that maybe the scan has irritated whatever the cause of it is. Just keep off your feet as much as possible x

@Moosh18 how are you today? Did the bleeding slow? X

@TTCournumberthree totally stopped after that clot that came yest, still throwing up today, just really hoping the scan dislodged whatever it was that had been causing the brown spotting and it's done now!

TTCournumberthree · 12/11/2022 19:23

@Moosh18 oh good, fingers crossed that’s the end of spotting for you now xx

Hi, Hope you don't mind me jumping on. I'm 6w 1d and started on Thursday with some v faint yellowy spotting after a BM.
I had the same on Friday although it was a little pinker.
Yesterday it was more reddish for a short amount of time, then pink again. Only when I wipe but it was there all day, not on my pad and with no cramps (yet)
I'm honestly absolutely terrified, I've completely convinced myself that it's over. I have an autoimmune condition and tested positive for Covid two days after my bfp, I just don't think my body could handle both.

I had strong symptoms when I first got my bfp, sore boobs / feeling sick / burping. I definitely felt a lull in my symptoms last week. I did have moments of feeling sick yesterday but I've convinced myself it's only from feeling so anxious.

I've got a scan at the EPU tomorrow morning, I'm trying to prepare myself for bad news. I just can't see how it'll be anything else ☹️

@polkadotdasies88, it’s so hard to say as sometimes it means an impeding miscarriage and other times doesn’t impact baby at all. Best to stay hopeful but recognise that it could be bad news. Sorry I’m not being more positive 💔 but with situations like this, it’s a wait and see type situation from my experience.

However, from what I gather, lots of the posters on here have all had some kind of bleeding/spotting and, so far, things have worked out 💗

Good luck and keep us updated after the scan 💖

@polkadotdasies88 hey, it's so hard to know, my last pregnancy in June I had a Mmc at twelve weeks and had two occasions of spotting, pregnancy ended a few days before the scan,

This pregnancy, I have had brown and pink spotting and had a scan on Friday and all was perfect, but after scan had a huge bleed for a few hours, won't know till I'm scanned again this week what's happening :( my pregancy symptoms are still really strong

But as PP said there are loads of people on here who have really positive stories about spotting and bleeding and all has been absolutely fine! I hope your scan goes well tomorrow! Sending you love, I really do know how hard it is xxx

TTCournumberthree · 13/11/2022 09:53

@polkadotdasies88 so sorry to hear you’re getting spotting too. It’s such a worry isn’t it.

Your scan tomorrow should hopefully show you what’s going on, my private scan lady and the EPU told me that spotting and bleeding is not normal but it is very common. We couldn’t see any cause for my spotting and thankfully 🤞🏼 I haven’t had any for well over a week now.

Prepare for the worst but hope for the best is how we walked into our appointment, sending best wishes for your scan tomorrow x

@TTCournumberthree @Moosh18 @B1993
Thank you so much for your words ❤️❤️ I'm definitely going in tomorrow expecting the worse. I just hope afterwards I can find some peace as I've just been an utter mess the past few days. Barely eating, so upset and feeling anxious. I think it's the not knowing which I'm really struggling with.

Your words all really help me to not feel alone, thank you.

Moosh18 · 13/11/2022 15:02

@polkadotdasies88 please let us know how you get on, I'm right here with you.... hoping for a scan in next few days after my big bleed. Still throwing up all day 🤢

Moosh18 · 14/11/2022 10:50

I've got mine tomorrow too at 13:40 x

polkadotdasies88 · 14/11/2022 12:59

Thank you so much for your lovely words this morning. I'm delighted to say we saw a little heartbeat flickering away & everything looks fine. I'm measuring a tiny bit behind but the consultant was not at all concerned. We're over the moon but still feeling cautious, I think that's going to be my default setting!!!!!

TTCournumberthree · 14/11/2022 13:05

@polkadotdasies88 fantastic news! Measuring a little behind isn’t too much a worry. You could have implanted a little later.

@Wannabemo @Moosh18 best of luck for your scans tomorrow.

I have my booking in app with the midwife on Wednesday, hoping this helps to get me in for the 12 week scan a little earlier. Still have the 8 week scan on Monday next week, hoping to see little has grown xx

@TTCournumberthree Thank you ❤️The strangest thing happened when we got home, literally we stepped out of the car & a balloon number 7 drifted right across our drive. All being well the baby will be born in July.. we couldn't believe our eyes.

@Wannabemo @Moosh18 Sending you both so much love for your scans ❤️

Wannabemo · 14/11/2022 13:43

Amazing news on the scan!!!

@Moosh18 good luck tomorrow too xx

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 09:18

@Wannabemo @Moosh18 Thinking of you both today, lots of love ❤️❤️

Wannabemo · 15/11/2022 09:39

Thanks I’m feeling almost certain it’s bad news, I have a sore back, still spotting/bleeding when wiping but it’s more red now, this is now week 3 having that! Cramps and twinges.
So annoying I wish it would just come on heavy then I would know this spotting everyday is actually draining and my emotional state can’t take anymore!!!

With my last mmc I can remember being in that much limbo that I just didn’t want it anymore and couldn’t wait for it to be over which is sad as I wanted so long for the positive result.

After today hopefully I know one way or another x thanks guys x

polkadotdasies88 · 15/11/2022 09:43

@Wannabemo I think being in limbo is so incredibly hard. Hopefully you get answers today one way or another. So much love to you ❤️

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 10:00

@Wannabemo oh I'm so sorry, I remember this exact feeling in my Mmc,I just filled up for you... my last mmc it was so much turmoil of everything being awful then a bit of hope then back again, it was horrid, in the end I remember crying so much and just begging for it to be over.. I felt like I'd written my pregnancy off.

This time I'm really really trying to keep hope, but there was so much blood, more then with my Mmc. So I don't see how it can be okay. I just have all my symptoms stil which feels cruel.

Is it at 11? I'm thinking of you so much. How far along will you be? 5 weeks? They may not be able to see much yet so don't panic if they don't see a heartbeat yet. Xxxxxx

Moosh18 · 15/11/2022 10:00

@polkadotdasies88 thank you lovely xx
