@sunnyd67 I have had a horrible week 😩 max has been admitted to hospital as he has the flu and bronchiolitis we came out yesterday but he's still not great. Horrible seeing your baby in so much pain 😭. Hope your doing ok ♥️
@TheBirdintheCave keep going and stay positive ♥️
@B1993 I had COVID when I fell pregnant and again at 15 weeks and everything was ok. Stay positive I'm sure everything will be ok! ♥️
@Shefliesonherownwings congratulations 🎉 little boy how lovely 💙x

TheBirdintheCave · 23/12/2022 09:57

@Skl2021 Sorry to hear your little one is sick :(

Skl2021 · 23/12/2022 10:05

@TheBirdintheCave thanks 💙 not what I wanted on Christmas week 😩 had to pass my other two children around and drag them to and from hospital when we should be doing Christmas things. Major mom guilt. Hoping he's over the worst 🤞worst thing ever seeing them so helpless. Now I think I'm catching it as I don't feel great so flu for Christmas for me 🙈🙄 x

TheBirdintheCave · 23/12/2022 10:46

@Skl2021 I had food poisoning over Christmas a few years ago and that was a barrel of laughs 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ I hope you don't catch the infection!

Skl2021 · 23/12/2022 10:52

@TheBirdintheCave I'm hoping I'm well enough for Christmas dinner 🤞🤣🤤 food posioning does not sound like fun 🙈🤣 x

B1993 · 23/12/2022 11:08

@Skl2021, thank you! I'm sure you're right and it will all be ok but it's such a worry, isn't is?!

On another note, I'm so sorry to hear baby Max has been so unwell - what a time to get poorly, just before Christmas! 😩 Hopefully you (or the other kids/DH) don't come down with it too! 🤞🏻

I'm starting to feel a bit more human now so have promised DS that we'll bake some cookies today ready to leave for Santa tomorrow night. 🍪🎅

@Shefliesonherownwings, congrats! 💙

Sassy144 · 23/12/2022 14:18

@sunnyd67 I'm approaching 38 weeks now and starting to feel mild period cramps on and off, I know this can come and go towards the end but hope it means we don't have too much longer 🤞 also trying to stay well with all the viruses around, I have a terrible headache today and a bit of a sore throat..

@B1993 I'm sorry you have covid, I had it at 12 weeks and all was well but it's good that your midwife is going to do some extra checks, I'm sure you and baby will be fine.

@Skl2021 so sorry to hear Max is unwell, that must be so scary ❤️ glad you're home now and hope he feels much better soon

Skl2021 · 23/12/2022 17:22

@B1993 yes try not to worry! I know it's easier said than done 🙈 enjoy your baking 😋 x

@Sassy144 your so close to the end now and period pains sound promising! Hopefully not much longer too go 🤞
Yes I'm hoping he doesn't get any worse we don't want to go back to hospital 😩 but they said it might take a few weeks for him to get over it x

sunnyd67 · 25/12/2022 03:41

@TheBirdintheCave having symptoms is always reassuring, not long to go until your scan. I recognise your username.. were you on this thread in February? Or do I recognised it from summer 2021 thread of something, somewhere?

@B1993 sorry you've got Covid, no advice here, but I was petrified of getting it and my partner got when I was 25 weeks, luckily I managed to avoid it. How are you feeling in yourself?

@Shefliesonherownwings congratulations on finding out it is a boy 😇

@Skl2021 I'm sorry about baby Max, I hope he's better soon, sending hugs.

@Sassy144 so close!!! 🤩 hopefully period pains means you're progressing and you will soon meet your baby!

Baby Ralfs is 6 weeks ❤️ it's lovely, he is such a calm and chilled baby, however I'm so sleep deprived. I can only seem to sleep for hour and a half at a time, having major sleep anxiety 😢 is this normal? Sometimes I would lay there for hours and fall asleep minutes before the baby wakes, but I'm so tired yet cannot sleep. It's been six weeks and my stitches still hasn't healed so on antibiotics now. ☹️

Sassy144 · 25/12/2022 05:14

@sunnyd67 I'm sorry you're struggling to sleep, my baby isn't here yet but I'm not sleeping as too much on my brain, can only imagine it will be even worse when baby is here. Can your partner take a shift to help you get some shut eye?

barneymcgroo · 25/12/2022 09:30

Happy Christmas all!

@Sassy144 so soon - hope you're keeping well.

barneymcgroo · 25/12/2022 09:38

Gaaah, keep pressing send before I've finished...

@Sassy144 can you have afternoon naps? Lie ins? Take anything you can get! Though I sometimes found having naps made it worse, as then I couldn't sleep at night...

@sunnyd67 Ow, that sounds awful. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon and get you sorted. What luck that baby Ralf is calm! When you say sleep anxiety, you're worrying about your sleep or his?

@Skl2021 Hope baby Max is better soon - it's so hard when they're so little and ill 😢

@Shefliesonherownwings So exciting!

@B1993 I had covid at about 28 weeks. Felt awful for a couple of days, cough for a couple of days, worst bit was the coughs coupled with my baby on bladder...

2 very excited boys here, so it's going to be a long day...

Sassy144 · 25/12/2022 10:18

@barneymcgroo when I've had a really bad night I can do an afternoon nap but yeah like you say sometimes it's better not to! Might be necessary today though after being awake since 2am 🤣 have a lovely Christmas with your boys!

TheBirdintheCave · 25/12/2022 10:36

@sunnyd67 I've only been here recently. I had a MMC in April and only just got pregnant again in November :) Hopefully this one sticks but I'm not optimistic 😅

Merry Christmas!

mrshodgy21 · 30/12/2022 14:58

Ladies help please I'm nearly 11 weeks postpartum and on the mini pill and just got a faint positive someone please tell me I'm
Not pregnant! Can it still be from my last pregnancy???

B1993 · 30/12/2022 15:18

Thank you for the reassurance from those who have also have covid during pregnancy! 💜

@mrshodgy21, I could be wrong here (I'm sure someone will say if I am!) but I believe hCG completely leaves your system a few weeks after birth. My DH and one of his brothers are born almost a year to the day apart so it's entirely possible that this is a new pregnancy, even though it's soon. I know that's not what you wanted to hear - I'm so sorry - this impossible situation so I'm sending big virtual hugs! 🫂

mrshodgy21 · 30/12/2022 15:23

@B1993 I did think that myself but I was bleeding on and off for 10 weeks after stoped last week then started spotting then stopped again I'm really hoping this is a real positive lol when I've been taking the pill! 🤦🏽‍♀️ as the test has dried out the line is darker! X

TheBirdintheCave · 30/12/2022 17:01

Hi all. Unfortunately my second MMC was diagnosed this morning. I am devastated.

sunnyd67 · 30/12/2022 18:24

@TheBirdintheCave I am so sorry to hear this, please take care of yourself, we all know the heartache that this comes with 💔

B1993 · 30/12/2022 19:04

@TheBirdintheCave, I'm so incredibly sorry 💔

Skl2021 · 30/12/2022 20:21

@mrshodgy21 have u got any other tests u can try? X
@TheBirdintheCave I'm so so sorry. Sending you lots of love 💕 take care of yourself xxx

Diamondbabe · 30/12/2022 20:24

@TheBirdintheCave im so sorry you said all along you had a feeling it wasn't right. I've had 2 miscarriages and now am pregnant, 10 weeks. Please don't give up x

TheBirdintheCave · 30/12/2022 22:00

Thanks everyone :)

@Diamondbabe Yeah I was initially really positive as even after the first scan everything seemed normal bar a little bit of brown spotting. It was the second scan where I knew things were going south as the measurements were off by three days which couldn't really be accounted for.

I don't know if I'll ever get pregnant again or, if we manage it, how I'll be able to cope with this stage again :( It nearly destroyed me this time round. But I'm 36 so have no time to waste as we so want a second child.

mrshodgy21 · 31/12/2022 15:18

@Skl2021 I've just done a first response and got a faint line 🤦🏽‍♀️ how I've been taking the pill 🤦🏽‍♀️ x

B1993 · 31/12/2022 15:24

@mrshodgy21, it definitely sounds like a new pregnancy! Can you ask GP to do a blood test to confirm and explain you were on the pill. I know it can be made less effective if you take antibiotics and some herbal remedies (I think?) - could that explain things?
