I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

@MrsP4 I had bleeding that's it so sonographer said they should have seen me. She wasnt happy they'd fobbed me off. At least they looking after me now. Just had bloods retaken and I didn't faint this time 😂

firsttimelondonmummy · 21/10/2022 23:41

Just found out I’m unexpectedly pregnant lady week.
(last period 14th of Sept, tested positive 12th of October).
My pregnancy was extremely unexpected and I’m having a bit of a panic.
I’d been on medication for an injury (Pregabalin (took 4 tabs) and Dihydrocoedine (15 tabs ish) I also had the flu for 2 weeks (26th September- 10th of October) and had a couple of big nights out 8/10 cocktails and smoking (max 4-5 per day) and vaped.
I stopped everything the day we found out, got onto supplements, been eating extremely healthily but I feel so guilty and can’t help being spooked by google 😭 has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance from a panicking, surprised first time expecting mum x

Brownsauce89 · 22/10/2022 06:04

Yes I have! My first pregnancy was a surprise (a happy one but still!) and I had no idea I was pregnant until almost 6 weeks. It was over Xmas and New Year and I had loads of drinks and also was on some antibiotics for a chest infection. I told the midwife and she said not to panic. I also stopped the second I found out! Now she’s a gorgeous healthy 1 year old 🥰

natkasz · 22/10/2022 06:47

@natkasz ah no way; how exciting! Fingers crossed for both of us 🤞🏼
have you booked a scan? I’ve got one next Friday privately but worried it’s too early.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord Just read back on the thread, my thoughts are with you today 💖

MrsP4 · 22/10/2022 07:53

@BellaTheDarkOverlord Oh ok. Well like you said atleast they're looking after you now that's the main thing. I'm praying for good news for you! Xx

Beula82 · 22/10/2022 07:58

Joining this too please, I’ve just got a positive at 4w 3 days.. very early I know. I have a toddler and gosh I’m exhausted. Testing each day and even though I can’t tell anyone it’s all I can think about.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord thinking of you, really hope things go well for you today.

MrsP4 · 22/10/2022 08:00

@B1993 What did the email say 👀 I'm Terrible haha I can't wait x

justbelieve · 22/10/2022 08:02

Just took a CB digital and got 3+, and I’m technically 3 weeks or 2 weeks+6 from ovulation so very happy about that 👍🏻

hoping that will ease my anxiety a bit, but if you all have any other tips, but send them my way!

tigerlily0 · 22/10/2022 08:10

It's good news xxx woke up a 8 to sonographer here in hospital wanting to scan me straight away. She did both external and internal. Said she couldn't see why it's look eptopic. She said I have a biconical uterus and looks like it has two horns on either side. She rang the private sonographer who also works here at hospital and discussed it with her and they said it's all ok just was a precaution to admit me. They said the baby just implanted off to one side a bit but looks absolutely fine and shouldn't be an issue as my last pregnancy managed fine in same uterus. They said I'll need more scans during pregnancy but definitely no surgery today for this. I'm so relieved. Been up all night with them taking my blood pressure every few hours and with toothache again. DH missed the scan but he's so relieved too. I might be able to relax now!

Tinkerbell098 · 22/10/2022 08:41

@BellaTheDarkOverlord aww that is really good news! Bet you’re over the moon X

Síomha · 22/10/2022 08:50

@BellaTheDarkOverlord, I just read this thread since my first/last post and I was so thrilled to read your news.
It’s great that you’ve a team that are so cautious too. What a huge relief.
I’ll likely have to get a cerclage placed again if we make it to 13 weeks so what you went through really resonated.

I’m not sure who said being pregnant again made them feel like they were cheating on their toddler 😭 How true!

@firsttimelondonmummy all my pregnancies were unplanned 🥹 I was only taking Pregnacare vitamins this time as I was breastfeeding but with my first - while in college - I had been really sick and then I was drinking like a fish etc until I found out. She’s now an a very healthy, moody as hell, straight A student!
It will be okay x

CaliGirl47 · 22/10/2022 09:09

Oh that’s excellent news! @BellaTheDarkOverlord I’m so pleased for you. What a relief. 🥹 And so nice to know that you and baby will be getting all the care and attention you deserve. 💕💕💕 Glad all is okay.

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 09:14

@justbelieve congrats! I’m a little worried now as I’m 3 weeks +3 from ovulation and still showing 2-3 on Clearblue 😭

@Síomha thank you for sharing that’s super reassuring 😭🙏🏻

@BellaTheDarkOverlord thats excellent news 💖

justbelieve · 22/10/2022 09:18

@firsttimelondonmummy dont worry! I think someone said on here that it’s just an estimate really (I mean the test itself only says 93% accurate) and everyone’s HCGs doubles at different rates, there’s a few ladies with different results on the test to what they were expecting, I wouldn’t worry!

Tor88 · 22/10/2022 09:34

@BellaTheDarkOverlord yeyyy amazing news!! You must be so relieved (and tired!) A dramatic start to your pregnancy but hopefully the rest will now go smoothly xxxx

natkasz · 22/10/2022 09:57

@BellaTheDarkOverlord This is amazing news 🥰

@firsttimelondonmummy I read somewhere the other week that the cb weeks indicator tests are unreliable so I wouldn't even be concerned about it x

Tinkerbell098 · 22/10/2022 10:26

Speaking of CB, I’ve done one this morning I’m 6 weeks now and it’s still showing 1-2 weeks. I’m really panicking! Everything I’ve read so far points to bad news. Ladies with 2-3 weeks you needn’t worry as the range is huge. 1-2 unfortunately is not great for someone’s who’s 6 weeks. Had a chat with OH and just preparing for the worst now. Our scan isn’t for another 10 days yet.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/10/2022 10:36

@Tinkerbell098 I hope your scan brings you good news xxx Are you getting dark lines on other tests?

They've booked me another scan at EPAU for 7/11. They said their really surprised I'm not on aspirin yet due to high risk preeclampsia from last pregnancy so they are prescribing it. They also can't understand how I got placenta accreta with my last pregnancy when I have no previous scarring on uterus which causes it. They saying it doesnt make sense and can't understand how I had a vaginal labour with that one too 😂Im going to to end up being in a bloody medical journal. Oh well at least little bean is happy where he is for now.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/10/2022 10:36

They're. Ot t

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/10/2022 10:37

They're not their. I can't type today!
