Welcome new joiners! 🥳🥳
@may111 I have been in the same position... nausea seems to have eased off over the past several days. I've felt fine most of today but got a sudden wave this evening and, for the first time, was physically sick. Felt fine since then though! 🤷🏻♀️ I think it's perfectly normal for it to come and go but I do understand your concerns as I've been feeling the same way!!
@theodora2146 I have also been worried after my early scan regarding measuring small! Stupidly I looked online and there's quite a bit on there about dates not aligning and, despite seeing the heartbeat, was a sign that the pregnancy wasn't progressing normally and resulted in miscarriage. I have been driving myself crazy as I know my ovulation dates so know I cannot be up to a 7 days earlier... But, after stressing myself out about that and nausea easing off, I reached out to my midwife on pregancy notes. I think her response will help on both accounts:
*In very early pregnancy, dating babies and assessing how old they are is a very inexact science and there is a lot or variation from baby to baby. This is why we don't officially date babies until the scan at 12-14 weeks as most babies tend to grow at a uniform rate at this gestation, and we get the most accurate date at this stage. Even then we have to allow a margin of error of 5 days either side.
So try not to worry too much about this. Hopefully baby will continue to grow well, even if your due date ends up being a little further away than you thought it would be.
Nausea and other pregnancy symptoms can come and go as your hormone levels fluctuate, and you may find this comes back with a vengeance over the next week or so, but then on the other hand it may not. None of this is cause for concern in and of itself.
If you have any pain or bleeding, you can speak to EPAU & if you ever have heavy bleeding attend A&E.*
This reassured me and I hope it helps for you both too! 💜
