I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

@ilovecakes1 I'm a newbie to this thread, too!

With my last pregnancy I used the only NHS online booking form (I think it was called My Pregnancy Notes, but could be remembering it wrong). It was actually very efficient and I got a booking appointment through within days.

I personally think it's better to do it sooner rather than later. I'm glad I had my pregancy and loss documented in the end. I'm planning on doing that next week as I'll be 4-5weeks then.

Algor1thm · 23/09/2022 20:07

@ilovecakes1 I'm cramping like mad so glad to hear it's not just me 🤞🏻

@B1993 ooh that’s much easier than trying to get hold of the GP thank you, looks like my local hospital use it too.

So excited for everyone! 🤞🏻

fifi113 · 23/09/2022 21:35

Hey guys, I'm guessing I'm due 1st June too, I've not had a period in over a year since I've been exclusively breastfeeding and I'm quite surprised I'm even pregnant 😂. Been having really bad back pain today though which is annoying!

Algor1thm · 23/09/2022 22:06

I've just had some very light spotting and I'm really upset, even though I know it might be fine. Just need to take another test tomorrow morning and see 🤞🏻

@Algor1thm I had spotting with my first, and it was nothing. Hope you get a good nights sleep and it’s stopped tomorrow.

fifi113 · 23/09/2022 23:42

@Algor1thm I had a bit of spotting earlier too I think it can be normal this early on

Blossomhoney · 24/09/2022 00:03

Hi Ladies I got my bfp on Wednesday, according to the online calculator it says my due date would be 1st June.
I’ve had some cramping and a kind of heavy feeling where I keep expecting to come on.
weeing a lot too!

Algor1thm · 24/09/2022 05:08

@Bubblesandballoons @newbiegreenfingers thank you. Just tested and line is much stronger than 48 hours ago. No more spotting. Guess it's just a waiting game. I didn't have any spitting at all with my older child so I wasn't expecting it.

@Algor1thm yay, so happy for you.
@WineQueen fb group sounds great, I’ll wait a week or two though before I join, just to check it all seems to be going ok.
@ilovecakes1 i referred and got my booking Appointment yesterday at 4 weeks. I have had miscarriages, so its put my mind at ease a bit that I’m on the books, so can get support if needed.

B1993 · 24/09/2022 06:11

@Algor1thm Try not to worry too much as spotting can be normal this early on in pregancy.

I know that's easier said that done though... I had spotting for around a week in my last pregnancy and was constantly a bag of nerves!

B1993 · 24/09/2022 06:14

I don't think I've mentioned before but this is my second pregancy, too. My DS turned 3 a couple of months ago so will be just shy of 4 (if all goes well with this pregancy) when new baby arrives.

Has anyone else got a bigger age gap between their kiddies?

Amyjones86 · 24/09/2022 07:30

Morning everyone how is everyone doing?

@B1993 hi, I have a little boy who was 2 last week so would be nearly 3. How are you doing this morning?

@Algor1thm have you had anymore spotting? Mine is more of a light brown CM I didn’t have any overnight or evening but did this AM. My internet cheapie tests are darker and I got a pregnant on my fertility monitor. I’ve got some FRER coming today.

I can’t help but worry 😬 thank you to everyone that has mentioned registering the pregnancy as I didn’t with previous MC so will do that today.

I hope everyone has a restful Saturday

may111 · 24/09/2022 07:40

Good morning everyone
Nice to see a group for us early ladies!
How's everyone feeling?
It still hasn't sunk in properly as I'm still feeling very nervous (4w 6d)

@MrsU2022 my expected due date is the 28th too!

miamiibiza · 24/09/2022 07:45

Hi everyone,

I'd love to tentatively join 😊

I tested with a fairly strong positive on Thursday, which was 12DPO. Makes my due date around the 3rd of June.

I'm so excited. This is baby number 3. I haven't been sleeping too well for the last week - I think that's excitement though! Been trying to think of imaginative ways of telling people I'm pregnant.

I had IUI, it was the first cycle, and the odds of it working were less than 7% so I'm feeling incredibly grateful.

Fingers crossed for sticky beans all round!

@miamiibiza massive congrats! Such a clear line
🤞🏻
Have a look on Instagram/ Tik Tok they have so many pregnancy reveals

fifi113 · 24/09/2022 07:49

Good morning everyone, feels strange being pregnant I don't think it's sunken in for me yet haha incredibly grateful though!

@miamiibiza welcome and congratulations on your BFP!

bubble55 · 24/09/2022 07:57

Morning everyone. I’m 14dpo today and feeling really worried tbh. I’m bad for testing because of previous chemical and after reading online I’ve got a panic about line progression (didn’t even know about any of this with my 1st baby!). Tested today and it’s significantly darker than my previous tests at 10 and 12dpo. I feel useless as nothing I can do but so worried 😟

bubble55 · 24/09/2022 07:58

*significantly lighter

may111 · 24/09/2022 07:58

@bubble55 them lines look great!
I know how you feel, with my first I was so unaware of what can go wrong but this time I have so much information, I would try and stop testing, maybe book an early test to have something to look forward to?

bubble55 · 24/09/2022 08:00

@may111 i get an early test at the EPU in 2 weeks-ish because of my history so it’s a waiting game until then. I wish I never did the test this morning as it’s really worried me.

Algor1thm · 24/09/2022 08:05

@Amyjones86 yes mine was brown CM as well, not red blood. Just once yesterday evening and nothing since. Feel very nauseous and tired today so just trying to take that as a positive sign and hope for the best 😊

I've got a 7 year old, and a just turned 3 year old. Love slightly bigger age gaps. And I know my boys will love the news, my eldest even put "a baby sister" on his Christmas list to Santa 🎅

B1993 · 24/09/2022 08:49

@bubble55 I found a bit of research online (not a reliable source if I'm completely honest) but it suggests that most women get stronger lines in the afternoon/evening. I've found that I do! I'd possibly try to test again later today and see how it looks.

@miamiibiza I always imagined a smaller gap (more like 3 years) so not sure how I feel about it! I hope it helps in the long run and will make things more manageable.

On a slightly different note, why is everyone planning to tell their older children about their pregnancy? I told my son as soon as I found out last time and he was super cute at times - just before I miscarried he played some music into my stomach 'for the baby'. I hated having to say the baby want in there so thinking it's probably best to wait this time around, but I'm just not sure when.

I think I'll wait for as long as possible to tell my other children. Time goes so slowly for children, and I think 8 months would feel like forever to them.
Maybe I could even wait until Easter, and let the Easter Bunny announce it somehow! Probably very optimistic there though!
