I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

Congratulations @MrsP4 That’s a lovely clear scan picture 😍

Unfortunately my scan wasn’t ideal. The private clinic I booked with only does abdominal ultrasounds not internal ones. And they could only just about see the sac. I tried filling my bladder some more, but it was still very unclear. We were able to hear the heartbeat which came through strong and clear 😊 so that’s something. But the ultrasound tech thinks I might have a tilted uterus so she booked me in for a re-scan in two weeks time. When I will be 9+5 so hopefully there should be lots more baby to see then. Slightly disappointed but silver lining is that I heard little one’s heart 🥹 and I have another scan to look forward to. 💕

I haven't got my scan date either - I'm assuming it will be requested by midwife after my booking appointment on Tuesday. I know someone had their scan dates through weeks ago so think it must depend on your area.

@CaliGirl47 It sounds like it went well in general - no concerns about viability etc. and it's amazing that you heard the heartbeat! Hopefully the next couple of weeks fly by for you and you see baby more clearly by that point! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

hi Just thought I’d add I got my scan date through last week (it’s not until November) but I got my scan date before my booking in with the midwife date! Midwife appointment is before the scan though.

I have my booking appointment, blood tests and scan date booked in now. Feels a lot more real now! Second baby but I'm really nervous.

I received my letter for my first NHS scan today, which is in December. Not had any contact from the midwife yet, but I have booked a private scan for next Sunday when I’ll be 6 weeks

Thank you @B1993 It made me quite emotional to hear the heartbeat 🥹💕💗 I don’t remember hearing it so early before. I know you can usually see it but not hear the audio I thought. Made it feel more real.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced a mild burning sensation at the top of their stomach? I've had it yesterday and today. I know acid reflux is common so I don't know if it's that, but googling the symptoms I'm not sure as I've got nothing in my chest or throat or any digestive feelings. It just feels a bit burney/liquidy at the top of my stomach (almost that feeling you get if you have lots of nerves/adrenaline - not sure if that makes sense to anyone?!). I'm 7+2.

Not good news. Baby there with heartbeat found by internal only. but something's wrong with the way it's embedded too far to one side. The sonographer had called my local hospital and they are admitting me overnight tonight for a morning scan. Sonographer very angry EPAU refused to see me earlier this week. Something to do with my uterus being not the right shape, maybe conical. I'm on way home for some clothes now. She says it's viable but high risk.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord gosh that all sounds very stressful and confusing!! Im so sorry. Yes awful that epau wouldn't see you. So does that mean it's effectively embedded in a not helpful place? Sending lots of love, sounds like there's still a chance it will be ok?? We're all thinking of you!

Oh gosh, that all sounds very scary @BellaTheDarkOverlord! I’m so sorry it wasn’t better news - although it’s a positive that a viable pregnancy has been confirmed, isn’t it? I hope your EPAU unit are now going to make sure you and baby are well taken care of. I’m keeping everything crossed for you and your little one! 🤞🏻💖

Thanks all x they've said it's a viable pregnancy but eptopic in the way it's in the uterus but very close to the entrance to a fallopian tube and growing could rupture the tube. As I have some backwards uterus of some sort the sonographer could only get a look internally and she couldn't make out how bad it was so sent me to hospital as precaution. We're here now, being admitted overnight for priority internal in morning. They've done another external scan at hospital and say it's better than they thought as not as close to tube as thought but they'll know more in morning. I'm worried as if it's too close it may mean hysterectomy of some kind. I'm worried but relieved a bit more it's not as close as once thought. Sonographer was great but because too much water on womb couldn't get good view enough. EPAU being great with me so far though now I'm here.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord its completely understandable that you're worried - any of us would be in your position. It sounds very scary but you're in the best place now to get all the support you need.

@B1993 Thanks x now in a bed on my own in a ward. DH been sent home. They put cannula in and took bloods. Unfortunately for my vasavagal syncope meant when taking bloods my blood pressure plummeted and I fainted. Now on a drip to bring blood pressure up

I have to be nil by mouth from 2am incase surgery has to happen 😣in that case I'm sat here eating grapes I brought as I haven't eaten much today due to lack of appetite. Got sudoku too in case I'm bored shitless. I know I can't eat in morning so scoffing now to fill belly!

Here's baby measuring 1 day under what I thought so all good, 6 week+6. Just hope he's still with me this time tomorrow 😥
