I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

Congrats to new BFPs x

I rang gp yesterday to be referred to EPAU for bleeding. They gave me the number and said you ring yourself. Ok. So I ring this morning and EPAU say I can't self refer I have to go through GP. GP said ring myself. Now no one wants to talk to me....😂

6 +5weeks. I guess the first time I'll get anywhere will be my booking appointment at 10 weeks.

Veryxonfused · 19/10/2022 11:46

I’ve just had my first midwife appointment and I have a water infection - it explains loads of scary symptoms I’ve been having like pressure when I wee, back pains, unusual pains which now that I think about it are the same pains I have when I’m desperate for a wee, not like period cramps. I just assumed they were miscarriage symptoms I forgot there are other things that can be wrong down there. I’ve never (as far as I know) had one before so I didn’t think about it

Now worrying that it will effect the pregnancy though

Baby3herewego · 19/10/2022 11:50

Hey ladies. Mind of I join?

I’m 4 weeks today and have been testing positive since 10dpo. This is my 3rd baby but the last was 10 years ago so it’s a big gap this time.

No symptoms so far apart from the missing period and positive tests.

Can I join please? Had my BFP 9th Oct at 10DPO. Currently 5+1. Had a MC at 9+2 in July and at the moment just absolutely terrified. Had my 3+ on a CB indicator test at 19DPO yesterday which I was really happy with.

Is anyone thinking of booking a viability scan? Xxx

MrsP4 · 19/10/2022 12:21

@B1993 that's very interesting, I have thought boy from the off so we'll see, hopefully I'll feel alot better after the scan on Friday. I also have my first apt with the midwife next Thursday.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 19/10/2022 12:56

Just booked reassurance scan for Friday. I'll be 7 weeks then. Hoping for a positive outcome. Wish I had more symptoms.

B1993 · 19/10/2022 13:13

@BellaTheDarkOverlord That's exciting! Not a long wait until then (although I'm sure it'll feel like ages!).

@Veryxonfused I'm pleased that was an explanation! Hopefully you'll feel better after treatment 😊

@Baby3herewego Those are lovely strong lines for 4 weeks and a CB 2-3 weeks is a great result 🥳 And @sunflower25049, a 3+ at 19DPO is amazing! Possibly twins?! 😲 Congrats both 🥳

@MrsP4 Will you be finding out the gender official down the line or are you team yellow? 💛

Baby3herewego · 19/10/2022 13:24

@B1993 thank you! I feel good that the lines are so strong.

Mayfield87 · 19/10/2022 13:27

I got my 3+ on a digital yesterday at 20dpo too and was happy @sunflower25049
I've booked an early scan for 13th Nov which will be week 8 so hoping all goes okay with that. I have very little symptoms other than being a little bit tired.

MrsP4 · 19/10/2022 14:29

@B1993 We're going to find out on Christmas Day just a gender reveal with family we didn't find out first time round and this is the last one so what to experience both ways, now I know we're finding out I want to know now 🤣

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 19/10/2022 14:32

Does anyone have any positive outcomes for being 6-7 weeks and still getting clear blue 2-3 weeks. It's not changing, I have no symptoms and I'm so worried. I just did another cheapie as I have some left. Still dark just worried I've already lost it 😥Scan on Friday.

Tinkerbell098 · 19/10/2022 14:38

@BellaTheDarkOverlord i was 5 weeks last Friday and I got 1-2 weeks on CB digital, should have had a 2-3. That line on easy@home is a clear dye stealer! There was previous chat on this thread on how CB isn't too accurate with weeks as there is a huge range. Got everything crossed for you for Friday's scan X

B1993 · 19/10/2022 15:08

@MrsP4, I don't know I would have the patience not to find out! I did contemplate it previously, but I probably would have given anyway! A Christmas reveal party sounds amazing! 🎄💝

B1993 · 19/10/2022 15:13

@BellaTheDarkOverlord, I hope my comment to the other ladies didn't make you feel more anxious! I've definitely read stories of women not getting 3+ until beyond 6-7 weeks! As @Tinkerbell098 said, there's a huge range of normal in regards to hCG levels. CB have a minimum threshold for 3+, which in reality is quite high. I posted comparison charts a little while back, if you haven't seen them it might be worth a look.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 19/10/2022 15:24

@Tinkerbell098 Thanks. I hope the cheapie is a good indication everything is ok still.

@B1993 No don't worry you didn't x Just struggling with missing symptoms. I just want to feel something. I checked out that chart you posted thanks. Not sure if it's made me feel less anxious though but thanks for trying x I told dh it might be better we prepare for the worst just in case.

B1993 · 19/10/2022 16:20

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I wish I could say more to reassurance you... it's such a worry time, isn't it! Honestly, I've been stressing myself out about everything, too 🤦🏻‍♀️ I suppose we've just got to trust our bodies (even harder if you've ever had a previous loss).

RE lack of symptoms, you might go the entire pregnancy with little to no symptoms! My DS's was like this and he's a cheeky, adorable 3 year old now. 🥰 I remember worrying about it at the time, but I guess I was just lucky! Some people say mild symptoms mean boy, as girls tend to create higher levels of hCG. Maybe that explains it all and you're possibly team blue?! 💙

Tor88 · 19/10/2022 17:10

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I'm sorry, it's all so stressful. As everyone has said it might all be fine. But the reality is it might also not be and I think trying to prepare yourself for the worst isn't a bad idea. My nausea disappeared in my first pregnancy and everyone told me it was fine and it wasn't, and the shock was horrid. When the same happened in my second pregnancy I felt better prepared because I knew what it meant and when the worst happened I then handled it better. Having said that I've been utterly convinced I'm about to miscarry a few times in this pregnancy too and I've been wrong (so far), so of course it can go both ways. But I do believe in trusting your gut sometimes and bracing yourself. Sending you so much love and hoping for the best 🧡❤️

sunflower25049 · 19/10/2022 18:32

@BellaTheDarkOverlord Before I say anything else, I have little to no symptoms and I had my 3+ yesterday. I have seen lots and lots of threads with people never getting 3+ and going on to have healthy pregnancies. Please be kind to yourself, you are pregnant. Take your vitamins and get as much rest as possible. I'm keeping everything crossed for you at your scan. Xxx

@Mayfield87 Congratulations!! Are you going to book an early scan?? Xxx

@B1993 I've looked everywhere for any evidence of twins when getting a 3+ so early but as a lot of people have already mentioned.... they are so finicky! How are you feeling? How far gone are you now? Xxx

Mayfield87 · 19/10/2022 18:40

Yes booked one in for when I will be 8 weeks @sunflower25049, hoping then they 4 weeks until the 12 week scan goes quick 🤞🏻
Congratulations to you also!
Don't worry about twins with an early 3+, I was worried with that but it could be we are just going to both have girls as you have higher hcg levels with a girl apparently- we'll see... xx

B1993 · 19/10/2022 19:36

I'm 7 weeks today @sunflower25049. Yes, I know the CB aren't an exact science but it's fun to wonder, isn't it?! And I do think it's a great result so early though, so who knows??

I'm feeling ok today - occasional waves of mild nausea but nothing that doesn't pass fairly quickly. I've still got a headache and generally feeling tired.

@Mayfield87, I had a very strong line on FRER at 10DPO and a slight dye stealer at 14DPO. I got my 2-3 at 4 weeks exactly and 3+ at just past 5 weeks, so by all accounts my hCG are on the normal to higher side (I think). Despite this, my gut says boy! 💙💙 I had very strong lines with that pregnancy too - again, it's not an exact science 🤷🏻‍♀️But, as I said previously, strong symptoms MAY point to girls as they do tend to release higher levels of hCG - I just wouldn't go buying any pink just yet!

Mayfield87 · 19/10/2022 19:51

Oh I'm not saying I think I'm having a girl, I really wouldn't be surprised if I have another boy @B1993 I'm really happy either way, just want a healthy Bonny baby 🥰 it will be just good to look back and see if the higher hcg levels were an indicator though.
Will you be finding out whether you are having a boy or girl @B1993?

cherrymilkshake · 19/10/2022 19:52

Hi ladies, can I join?
Positive test on Sunday meaning I'm 4w4d at the mo..not far I know.

Can anyone tell me who's further along...did you find it so odd those first few days walking around pregnant and nobody else knows!? Sounds silly I know but I'm finding it so odd at work 😅

Also, is it strange I constantly want to take a new text just to confirm it?

Believe it or not this is my second 😂

justbelieve · 19/10/2022 20:32

Has anyone else had very mild cramps for a fleeting second or so? I’ve probably had it about 3-4 times in total since last night. I’m 4+3 and this is my first pregnancy, so overthinking every single thing!

B1993 · 19/10/2022 20:53

@Mayfield87 Yes, it definitely will be! I've experienced lots of differing symptoms this time around too, (still instinctively think boy! 💙) but will be interested if that is a sign it's not a boy afterall.

I'm definitely finding out! In fact, I ordered a sneak peek test and should get the results from that this week. It was a nightmare to do and got so frustrated I touched a couple things I shouldn't have so the results are most likely contaminated 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Welcome @cherrymilkshake! 🥳 It's definitely strange. I've felt so rough the last few weeks and wished I could just say I'm pregnant rather than having to try and hide my exhaustion.

I was testing multiple times a day... it was driving me crazy but this pregnancy came right after a loss so needed the reassurance.

@justbelieve My cramping has been most of the day some days and, at times, pretty uncomfortable. It's finally easing off at 7 weeks and only had a few very mild 'twinges' today. It's completely normal and you only really need to be concerned if it's very painful and isolated to one side or if it's accompanied with bleeding. Otherwise, it's nothing to worry about and most likely just your ligaments loosening and stretching or, if you're early on, baby burrowing in and getting comfy!

Quokka7 · 19/10/2022 20:57

@justbelieve I remember having cramping in week 4. Its calmed down now but I also had a more constant dull ache quite a few times.

@cherrymilkshake welcome!👋 I told my colleague at work after about 3 days as I needed her help to avoid doing certain things! So I didnt have too many days without people knowing! I find it so hard not telling other people though! I saw my in laws the other day and felt like my MIL knew! She kept saying how tired I looked! 😂

On that note, I am so tired! Insomnia is still an issue most nights. I also have the worst acne! If old wives tales are to believed, I'd say it's a girl! I look positively rough at the moment! 🙈
