I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

@HopingForBaby2

Thank you! I'm still expecting AF to arrive just a big surprise. How old is your first?

I have no symptoms at all so far, I was lucky first time round only ever had a few waves of nausea was never really unwell or physically sick so kinda hoping for the same again, I have a little girl who's going to be 3 in January so I don't have time to be sick 🤣

Where is everyone from? I'm in Liverpool x

Amyjones86 · 26/09/2022 08:39

Morning everyone,

@MrsP4 congratulations, I also have no symptoms. Perhaps a bit of tiredness.
i have a son who was 2 last week.

I have an appointment with my nhs gp today to see if I can get a prescription for some progesterone seeing as this is my 4th pregnancy this year. Fingers crossed this will be my triple rainbow.

I’m from East Sussex but currently live in Kent.

MrsP4 · 26/09/2022 08:50

Thank you @Amyjones86

Yeah I guess I've been tired but that's just normal for me haha!

Oh fingers crossed your GP gives you something! Hoping everything goes well for you I haven't even thought about telling anyone yet feel more nervous this time round don't know why x

Veryxonfused · 26/09/2022 09:22

I’m 4 weeks 4 days /approx 18dpo today do these lines look ok? I feel like the mommed ones never get darker!
The top one is 10miu, second 20miu and bottom 25miu

I’ve woken up with an awful earache just as I thought my cold was starting to wear off.
Is anyone else struggling with hormones? I’ve cried a lot this week over small things.

Algor1thm · 26/09/2022 09:24

@Mamaoftwooo I also had HG my previous pregnancy and am already struggling badly with nausea in the mornings. I think this is just how my body reacts to HCG, it's like I'm allergic to it.

@Veryxonfused those lines look great!
congratulations x

Algor1thm · 26/09/2022 09:25

@Veryxonfused they look great, I'd stop testing now your lines are that dark tbh!

Veryxonfused · 26/09/2022 09:27

Thank you, if I hadn’t bought absolutely loads off Amazon I’d probably be less inclined to test 😂 I’m planning on stopping after I get my 3+ on a digital (hopefully on Thursday)

Ah I’m so sorry to hear your struggling already, being pregnant is literally horrific for people that suffer with hg, and people commenting that don’t understand it drives me insane, had so many people last time saying yeah I had morning sickness it’s awful isn’t it, or try ginger etc, absolutely infuriated me 🤣 I’m not ready to deal with any part of HG again 🫣🤣

NalaNana · 26/09/2022 09:53

What is HG? Sorry to hear it's a nightmare! I'm feeling nauseous this morning and waiting for a call from the docs on whether or not I can have any bloods taken x

Algor1thm · 26/09/2022 10:01

@NalaNana hyperemesis gravidarium - basically extreme morning sickness but it's all day and to the extent that you basically can't eat or in my case from lady time even keep water down. And for me it lasted about 5-6 months of the pregnancy, for others it's all 9 months.

@Mamaoftwooo I know it's so awful, then people act like you're being ungrateful when you say you hate pregnancy. I ended up hospitalised last time so want to get on top of it with meds before it gets to that point again.

Yes!!!! People really do not get it so they, I hate pregnancy this doesn’t mean I don’t want or love my baby!!!!

and yeah me too, I had multiple hospital trips throughout for fluids and anti sickness injections etc, really hoping I can keep on top of it better as this time I have my baby to care for too!

NalaNana · 26/09/2022 10:17

Ah my older sister suffered with that with her pregnancies it was awful - my heart goes out to you!

bubble55 · 26/09/2022 10:41

I am getting my bloods taken this afternoon 🤞🏼

NalaNana · 26/09/2022 10:43

@bubble55 great news! I hope all goes well and you get the answers you're looking for x

bubble55 · 26/09/2022 10:46

@NalaNana thank you. After a rather rude receptionist, the gp was absolutely wonderful. If it is bad news then they will refer me on straight away for tests. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that. Hope you’re ok x

Algor1thm · 26/09/2022 12:49

I've had another bit of spotting. Very light but feeling very down about it 😔

OP posts:
HopingForBaby2 · 26/09/2022 14:32

I've also had some light brown spotting this afternoon. Feeling really deflated.. and I suppose it's just a waiting game now. 😩

Okapi99 · 26/09/2022 15:15

Hg sufferer here too. If you haven't already get in touch with your gp and get started on 1st line meds before symptoms start. It can make a big difference in the sickness. Though I've been on hold for over an hour today and can't get through to my Dr 😩

Also check out pregnancy sickness support for help.

WannabeMum22 · 26/09/2022 15:20

Excited to be here and hope I get to stick around! My current EDD is 2nd of June but of course that could move. I found out last thursday and so far the lines are getting stronger :).

bubble55 · 26/09/2022 16:07

I’ve started spotting. Devastated

Algor1thm · 26/09/2022 16:12

@bubble55 @HopingForBaby2 it's all such a roller coaster. Stopping seems to have stopped for now but it's made me feel like it's the end of the road 😔
