I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@hopingthisistheone oh no 😩 I'm so sorry! It's still so early on though so don't they need more time? How does it explain positive pregnancy tests? Wishing you all the luck in the world for any hopeful news after your bloods xxx

hopingthisistheone · 04/10/2022 15:22

@xalexandra I mean I'm probably less than 5 weeks so maybe it is early. They said they'd take bloods and my bloods should be a certain level and if they are not, then it would likely end in a miscarriage in a few days-weeks. I feel so unlucky as this will be my fourth. :(

xalexandra · 04/10/2022 16:15

I think it could be sooo early still ❤️🙏🏼 I'm thinking of you, I had a scan at 6 weeks and they could hardly see anything then! So if you're 4 weeks or even less then there is that tiny bit of hope. Im so sorry that there's nothing that will make you feel better at the moment as I've been through the same thing, I know it's so tough. The positive is that you can keep trying whenever you feel ready, it's never the end xxx

I feel like this is almost the end for me :(. I don't ovulate as I have PCOS so I'm on clomid treatment at the moment which helps me to ovulate and release eggs. However I only have a few more cycles left and each cycle it becomes less and less effective. So I really am running out of chances here, why it hurts more each time. :( losing all hope.

Sprinklerainbows · 04/10/2022 17:41

@hopingthisistheone im
so sorry to hear this but here’s some hope for you. I went for a scan when I thought I was 5 weeks. Nothing to be seen. Hcg done: 1825 (so actually really high) they made me go back the next day and there was my little sac, empty but that’s why the scan I’m having tomorrow was booked x

@Sprinklerainbows this gives me hope. So they didn't see anything at all on your scan? I thought they'd invite me back soon but they just sent me on my way and said they'd call with my blood results. They haven't called today, so another wait until tomorrow.

Good luck on your scans tomorrow ladies.

Sprinklerainbows · 04/10/2022 18:15

@hopingthisistheone nothing at all! And they only were alarmed with my hcg results came back high, she said they should have seen something. Obviously I panicked but was back the next day and saw a sac. A lot can change in 24 hours. I read hundreds of stories with people in the exact same position. Even though we might think we know when we ovulate, it can take days for that egg to actually fertilise. I’m about 4 days out according to the scan from where I thought I should be etc.

please don’t panic but also chase them for those bloods, I had to call to find out as they forgot 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was about 3 days out and I was 100% sure! You really could just be too early to see anything yet xx

Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 09:52

Hope everyone’s okay

@Cassarat good luck for your scan today. I’m feel EXTREME anxiety 😟 really really worried but we will know soon… mines at 2.20 xx

@hopingthisistheone thank you 🤍 have you had your bloods back? X

Good luck with your scans 💕 they are just so nerve racking xx

hopingthisistheone · 05/10/2022 10:33

@Sprinklerainbows I phoned first thing at 9am and asked if they could phone me to let me know..

Still waiting. Makes me think it's bad news and they're waiting for a consultant to be free.

hopingthisistheone · 05/10/2022 10:35

I've been telling twinges and what feels like trapped wind the last 12 hrs. Maybe just from the internal scan? Still no bleeding though so suppose that's something.

Lol I meant *feeling. Too nervous!!!!!!!

Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 10:42

@hopingthisistheone week 4-6 I literally had the most awful trapped wind stomach pains! Apparently it’s the increase of progesterone!

good luck, let us know how it goes xx

@Sprinklerainbows just had blood results back. Level is just under 2000.

She says she would expect to see something at this stage so she's going to speak to her senior and get back to me with a plan.

Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 11:22

@hopingthisistheone sounds exactly like what happened to me. Got everything crossed for you, I expect they’ll offer another scan today or tomorrow x

OP posts:
xalexandra · 05/10/2022 11:24

@hopingthisistheone that sounds like some kind of positive news?! Hopefully you can get another scan! I also think the internal scan made me quite uncomfortable and I had a MMC - as soon as I had the scan I started bleeding a bit so I kinda knew it was bad! But I don't think they make you feel very nice afterwards 😂

@Sprinklerainbows it's the waiting around that's the worst!

Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 11:27

@xalexandra it is. I’m sat twiddling my fingers. My son will have his nap soon and then once he’s up it will be basically time to go. I’m much less nauseous today, good because I’ve had some horrendous days, bad because it adds to the anxiety 😅

OP posts:
Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 11:28

@hopingthisistheone also! The range they start to expect to see a sac is between 1500-2000 so you’re within that range x

OP posts:
xalexandra · 05/10/2022 11:30

@Sprinklerainbows I feel you completely, my nausea is so bad and it feels like it's gone on forever so it's really draining mentally and physically but when it does go from time to time - I am just thinking oh no where's it gone?!

My scan is at 840am on Friday so no waiting around thankfully but dreading if I have morning sickness because I'll be going with a sick bucket and with the added anxiety I'll probably have a complete meltdown down 😂

Sprinklerainbows · 05/10/2022 11:35

@xalexandra yes haha it’s so mentally exhausting 😩

oh that’s good your scan is early! My booking in app is early on Friday morning and I’ll be the same, early in the morning normally is a bad time for sickness 🤣😅

This is true. However she said that means we should have seen one yesterday? :( god I'm so upset and I don't even know what the outcome will be, I can't go through another loss. :(
