Very early pregnancy and so much anxiety after miscarriage

I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@xalexandra aw thank you. My sons called Arthur but we call him Arthy so I think they sound cute together 🤣 Arthy and Delphi

yes I’m definitely suspicious of the fact it was someone different! Just worried if her AC goes back down again it will look like she’s not gained 🤣 hopefully they’d just write it off. Yeah blood flow is the most important thing

I knowww! Such a stress!! I refuse to go in for monitoring 🤣 I would if I was really really concerned but a ‘change in movements’ wtf does it even mean!? Sometimes she’ll not move for the whole day, just as I think I should probably go in… she’ll kick 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Very happy indeed haha! Definitely no more kiddies for me

@Sprinklerainbows yes them two names go so well together, love it 🥺 have you had your other scan yet to see where your placenta is? Xx

Sprinklerainbows · 24/03/2023 10:44

@xalexandra hey! The scan went well! They couldn’t tell for a while so I had the internal scan and it’s a good few mm away thank goddddd.

they decided it was too soon to re measure her because it looked liked she’s not grown at all (But it has only been a week so not really long enough to tell properly)

So going to leave it a couple more weeks when I’m 35 weeks and then we can make plans for birth.

not long for you now how exciting!!! X

@Sprinklerainbows hey! Hope you're all ok and bubba is doing well! ❤️

my waters randomly broke last Monday (27th March), 36+5! Ottilie arrived 2:59 on the 28th March 💕💕💕 I managed to get to fully dilated without even realising I was having contractions 😂 it was all going so well until it didn't - and ended up being quite traumatic to say the least! I lost well over a litre of blood and they ended up using the suction cup (kiwi) but all good and she is happy and healthy ❤️ had to stay in the hospital for 5 days due to her not being full term (just missed by 2 days!!) and because of PRROM - she had to have antibiotics for a couple of days due to the fact my waters broke and she still wasn't here within 24 hours.

We came home for 2 days but now back in the hospital and have to stay here until her jaundice levels go down as they have got really high since we got home! Which I'm a bit gutted about as I'm super emotional now and a bit drained from being in hospital. Apart from that though she is super healthy at 7 pounds 2 - at 36 weeks!! Imagine if I made it to full term 🤣

Sprinklerainbows · 03/04/2023 07:55

@xalexandra omg wow!!! I can’t believe that- what a journey!
so unusual to go into labour early with your first. It’s like she knew she was big enough to be born 🤣 also your waters broke on my birthday we could have been birthday twins!!!

Sorry to hear it was a traumatic experience at the end… poor you and bub I bet that was all quite a shock!
good to hear she’s doing well, hopefully the jaundice resolves quickly, I know it’s quite common in early babies bless her.

sending lots of love! hope you get home and settled into new parent life soon 🥰🥰🥰 xxx

xalexandra · 16/04/2023 19:28

@Sprinklerainbows jaundice all gone! She's a little rascal and doesn't sleep at all during the night! Such a peaceful angel in the day though 😂

How are you doing? Xxx

Sprinklerainbows · 28/04/2023 11:11

@xalexandra great news!! Oh bless her sounds like my son 🤣 he didn’t sleep well until 2! Hopefully shell learn night and day soon 🤍
We are doing well thank you, still pregnant, nearly full term. Last weeks scan showed some tailing growth so back next week to decide if it’s induction or if we can carry on. So far we’ve beaten the odds so I’m really hopeful. Defo feeling the tiredness now but this is my last day at work woohoo!

OP posts:
xalexandra · 11/05/2023 16:16

@Sprinklerainbows are you getting induced? How's you and bubba? 😊

Sprinklerainbows · 12/05/2023 08:53

@xalexandra she’s still cooking. At my last scan they couldn’t get very accurate measurements. However blood flow and movements are good so no induction! Booked for a sweep next week with my consultant and a plan with NICU was made regarding her head etc. all looking positive! Fingers crossed she comes soon because I’m so exhausted now 🤣

howre you and baby doing? Can’t believe you had her what feels like ages ago! Xx

OP posts:
xalexandra · 12/05/2023 10:09

@Sprinklerainbows aw that's good news though that it all seems very positive! I guess the longer she's cooking, the better 😁 was her head measuring small? How many weeks are you now? It might not be long left for you now then, how exciting!

We're all good! She's 7 weeks next Tuesday, I can't believe it. It's gone so quickly! She's sleeping a bit more better now and I feel more alive 🤣 it's already crazy looking at pics from when she was born to now, she's grown so much 😩

Sprinklerainbows · 12/05/2023 10:25

@xalexandra she’s maintained her own line of growth so they are really happy with her. Yeah the heads like below the 1st centile. Completely off the chart small, it’s always been below the chart though!
1.5 weeks until my due date!

oh wow 7 weeks!!!! That’s amazing, I found from 8-10 weeks it got a lot easier 🤣 the lack of sleep is hard though bless you. Xx

OP posts:
xalexandra · 22/05/2023 22:55

@Sprinklerainbows any baby news? 😁 xx

Sprinklerainbows · 23/05/2023 05:29

@xalexandra no baby yet 😭 had a couple of false starts and then nothing.
I had a sweep yesterday and was 2cm but haven’t really had much happen since. Next sweep is on Thursday with my consultant so fingers crossed that one does the trick (I needed 2 sweeps last time with my son)

however trying to look at thing’s positively because we NEVER even expected to get to full term let alone my due date. I’m so happy because it only means she’s actually done amazingly in there after all the worry! But on the flip side I desperately want to meet her and know she’s definitely okay and healthy ❤️

how are you and baby doing? X

Sprinklerainbows · 30/05/2023 20:41

@xalexandra she’s here! She came on the 25/05/23 at 6.16pm

I wasn’t induced but had a BIG sweep on the days she came by my consultant.
after arriving at the hospital 3cm dilated they decided to keep me (as my first birth was fast) once we got to the room we started to run a bath, I got in and 3 mins later she was born 🤣🤣🤣 the midwife wasn’t actually in the room but luckily my second birth partner was a family friend who is a midwife! So she delivered her with my husband by my size. It was all absolutely amazing. And I didn’t have a single tear or graze!

she’s a TOTAL dream- weighing 6lbs 3oz (not as small as we thought after all that🤣)
her head is on the 1st centile but NICU we’re happy to discharge us without further tests. She has great muscle tone, a good sucking reflex and no other signs of genetic conditions!! Biggest relief of my life.

she’s an absolute dream, and our son had taken so amazingly to her. The worry and upset was all worth it in the end!!!

Hope you’re doing well!!!!

xalexandra · 30/05/2023 20:52

@Sprinklerainbows oh my goodness! Massive congratulations! I'm so happy for you 🥰🥰 and wow I bet that quick birth was so nice and to walk out of there with everything intact 🤣

And after all them scans and everything with them saying how small she will be and the problems she might have and she's turned out perfect! Such a relief for you 😊 that's such a good weight!

What did you end up naming baby girl? Xx

monsteramunch · 30/05/2023 20:53

Aaah massive congrats @Sprinklerainbows FlowersFlowersFlowers

Sprinklerainbows · 30/05/2023 21:21

@xalexandra thank you!!!
it really did I was so shocked when they said it was all good down there 🤣
lucky too because I had no pain relief at all 😅
I knowww! We feel like we’ve won the lottery! It’s made the high of birth even more high

weve called her Delphi Olive (but will register her as Delphine so she has the choice when she’s older)

Sprinklerainbows · 30/05/2023 21:21

@monsteramunch thank you so much! X

OP posts:
xalexandra · 31/05/2023 20:51

@Sprinklerainbows exactly that! I think I was SO sore down below and had a second degree tear so it made the first couple of weeks really hard with the emotions anyway but plus I felt so rubbish and sore down below which made it harder! Thank god I'm all healed and feel physically normal now haha. Awwww I absolutely love that name 😍 so pretty!

Enjoy the new born bubble 💗

Sprinklerainbows · 31/05/2023 21:37

@xalexandra oh god poor you!!! That’s really tough!
I was lucky with both my births. When I had my son I had a tiny graze that didn’t need a stitch. Tearing is everyone’s fear I think 😩

I did however haemorrhage… around 1 litre which I did find hard the first few days. Lots of near- fainting moments. But I’m on iron now and think it’s already helped

aw thank you! It feels like absolute pure magic. I said this was the last baby but I’m now thinking… 1 more won’t hurt 🤣

OP posts:
xalexandra · 02/06/2023 17:30

@Sprinklerainbows you lucky thing 😂 oh no, thank goodness for iron tablets! it was one and done for me but now I'm looking at pics of Ottilie as a new born and she's changed so much already, that I'm wanting another new born haha 🤣🤣

Sprinklerainbows · 02/06/2023 17:53

@xalexandra ill never not feel lucky for that honestly!

Omg no way! It’s such a hard decision to make but it does go soooo fast. I look at my son and think HOW is he 3 in a few months!? It flyssss by 🥲xx

OP posts:
xalexandra · 11/12/2023 09:33

@Sprinklerainbows I randomly thought of you yesterday! How are you and bubba doing? Hope all is well 🥰

Sprinklerainbows · 11/12/2023 10:29

@xalexandra awww that’s so nice you thought of us! We are really good thank you! Lots of crawling and pulling to stand 🤯 she’s a chubby bundle of love. How are you and baby? Xxx

OP posts:
xalexandra · 05/01/2024 21:02

@Sprinklerainbows that's so lovely! How old is she now? Is she all well and healthy? 🥰 Ottie is 9 months old now and she's a chubby bundle of love too! Can't believe she will be 1 in march! It's gone scarily quick, we don't have an crawling yet but she's really turning into a proper little person 😂 xx
