I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@Cassarat how’re you feeling today? My one sided pain has actually gone now! Maybe I didn’t need to worry so much 😅

Hello, as that’s great to hear! I’m losing all my pregnancy symptoms it seems, I felt a little bit sick today but I think it’s because I was so hungry and went food shopping in a very busy hot but rainy situation haha.
My boobs feel fine, my pains have all seized and I just don’t feel pregnant anymore. I’m dreading every day until that scan! My mind doesn’t help myself at all with all the symptom checking and testing still either!

xx

Sprinklerainbows · 23/09/2022 19:28

@Cassarat oh no! Sorry you feel so worried!!!

my symptoms seem less too, so very odd.

im not going to test again, I think I’ll go completely crazy!!!

with my last pregnancy my symptoms were so extreme by now but then each pregnancy is different and at this stage they do come and go. I spoke to a friend today who said she felt sick about 2-3 times and that was her only pregnancy symptom and all worked out well. We just have to keep hoping xx

Thank you sweet, I’m also worrying because I’m a plus sized lady (20) she wrote on my report after the scan ‘limited view due to maternal BMI’. She thought maybe that combined with being early is why she couldn’t see a yolk sac - but I think she was just giving me hope. I do hear those kind of stories about this and then 2/3 weeks later there the baby was! And I am hoping and preying I’m going to be saying this in a few weeks too 🙏🏻
Im also not really testing anymore, I don’t see the point - HCG can rise no matter what’s going on inside 🤦🏼‍♀️ I just like seeing 2 lines hehe xx

Sprinklerainbows · 24/09/2022 07:24

oh bless you, trust me I understand the worry but I really don’t think they’d give you false hope!

Yes that’s exactly what happened to me! And weirdly last time I was less worried. And even weirder I went back 3 weeks later and I the baby measured 8 weeks and had jump back up a week.

i also read that symptoms are absolutely no indication that something’s okay/not okay. They come and go and it’s just normal at this stage. I find it scary and disconcerting when I feel normal and almost could forget I’m pregnant but I’m literally holding out for that scan 😅 i keep visualising a perfect tiny baby with a heartbeat x

@Cassarat hope you’ve been okay! I’ve been so busy today I only had my usual anxiety in the eve which was nice. Feeling much more sick the last couple of days, seems like pretty much all day nausea

have your symptoms returned at all? X

Hey! I’ve been trying to keep myself busy this weekend but every quiet thought is ‘an I still pregnant’! I have felt very bloated today and had some minor food aversions to a plate I’d usually love to eat! But it just made me feel sick? Taking that as a sign! Haha.
I don’t really know if it’s nausea or not but definitely get the odd feeling like I need to burp/be sick and then it passes within a few seconds.
Im glad you’re keeping busy, hope the nausea subsides soon xx

Sprinklerainbows · 26/09/2022 22:35

@Cassarat glad to hear you had a busy weekend!
i too am bloated and also gassy! Sounds like you definitely do have nausea, mine comes and goes but the last couple of days I’ve been pretty certain I’ll be sick but haven’t been!

i visited a friend who’s just had baby no.2, made me so so broody/excited, I felt like I could envision that being me but also makes me feel down incase it doesn’t happen 😩 xx

@Cassarat I spoke too soon the sickness has started. I’m also feeling really anxious for this scan now. It’s suddenly hit me that it’s a week away

how’re you feeling? Xx

Cassarat · 28/09/2022 12:41

Afternoon! I’m experiencing nausea for the first time (never had it with my son) and It’s just an all day feeling. Tummy aches like I’m about to throw up, then every so often I have to take a deep breathe so that I’m not actually sick! I’m so nervous about the scan because I know I have symptoms but with my previous miscarriage I had symptoms even after baby had passed because my hcg was still raising and womb still stretching. Just hoping and hoping the fact I’ve not experienced nausea like this is a good sign! Hope you’re doing okay with the sickness?! Xx

Sprinklerainbows · 28/09/2022 13:38

@Cassarat oh that’s great news! Apparently if you’re sick in pregnancy you’re less likely to have a miscarriage!!

Hi ladies.

Thought I would too jump on here. Trying for baby no2 for 5 years, diagnosed with PCOS and started on clomid. 3 miscarriages in the last year. Found out I'm pregnant yesterday, about five weeks. Yet to tell a soul as I am just so nervous. Barely slept last night either. No pregnancy symptoms and just don't feel 'pregnant.'

In the past I have always started to bleed and ended up in a&e in excruciating pain, they thought I was having an ectopic at one point but it came away ok with no intervention required. Sending you both well wishes and praying for us all.x

xalexandra · 28/09/2022 17:45

I'm in a similar position. I had a miscarriage last year and pregnant now again - 10 and a half weeks, this will be my first (hopeful) pregnancy! And my anxiety has absolutely eaten me up, I had a scan at 8 and a half weeks and everything was fine so that filled me with some hope. Maybe a private scan might fill you with some relief? Also don't Google anything but Google absolutely made my anxiety 100000x worse. I don't think it'll ever go but as time goes on - I think you will be at ease. Just try to relax, I mean if you have some pregnancy symptoms then that's always a plus too! My nausea is terrible but I am just thinking - surely that's got to be a good sign aye?! Wish you all the luck in the world 💕🙏🏼 xxx

Sprinklerainbows · 28/09/2022 17:53

@hanginthere12 sooo sorry to hear that, what a journey!

i often don’t ‘feel’ minus my evening throwing up sessions the last few days 🤣
wishing you all the best, how many weeks are you? X

@xalexandra bless you. Sorry to hear abut your loss, getting to 10 weeks is great! Apparently after seeing a heartbeat the chances of miscarriage dramatically reduce.

I’ve got a scan next week and then another 2 weeks later. Praying we see the heartbeat 😩

I’ve tried to stop googling at this point and just wait for the scan now, though i do check 500x a day for any bleeding

good luck! Keep us updated xx

@Sprinklerainbows I'm literally exactly the same! Every time I go to the toilet, I examine 😂

You will be absolutely fine and good luck with your scan next week, it's nerve racking but you will walk out of there with a smile on your face 🌸

Sprinklerainbows · 28/09/2022 18:09

@xalexandra tjank you so much. I’m trying to envision it being okay but also so worried but nothing I can do at this point, just have to trust my body! X

I think I'm only around 5 weeks so early still. All three of my miscarriages have ended around 5-6 week mark so just hoping to get through the next couple weeks.

How many are you? I'm definitely thinking about booking an early scan.

Sprinklerainbows · 28/09/2022 21:10

@hanginthere12 i think that’s a very common time for miscarriages to happen ☹️

yes and this time you will!
im just over 6 weeks, I’d deffo book one, it definitely gives you some reassurance and something to keep you going!

OP posts:
hanginthere12 · 29/09/2022 07:15

When do you think the best time is to book one? Have you booked any yourself? X

Sprinklerainbows · 29/09/2022 11:36

@hanginthere12 personally id say 8 weeks. Because they look more ‘baby’ like and you’re almost guaranteed to see the heartbeat.
my 6 weeks scan is nhs but my 8 week was one I booked privately x

OP posts:
hanginthere12 · 29/09/2022 12:41

Hope you don't mind me asking but how did you get offered a 6 week scan with NHS. I'm wondering if because I've had previous miscarriages, I may be offered one.

Sprinklerainbows · 29/09/2022 17:40

@hanginthere12 im having mine due to pain I was having earlier on in the pregnancy, I had a 4 week scan but they wanted me back to check there’s deffo a baby in there

if you’ve had 3 miscarriages you most deffo should be offered a scan x

hanginthere12 · 29/09/2022 17:41

Did you call your pregnancy unit or midwife's in the beginning? That's amazing you are being offered another scan.
