I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@xalexandra even the town next to mine does things completely differently it’s so odd!

Oh no!!!! What?! that’s so bad. I wanted one with my son but I was high risk and told no. This time I’m putting my foot down 🤣

@Sprinklerainbows I'm not too bothered, I quite like a water birth but because it's my first pregnancy I just don't really know what I want and what's best 😂

There's a few of them birthing centres around me but the thought of them is a bit weird, may as well be in the hospital! 😂

Sprinklerainbows · 26/11/2022 11:56

I had a water birth! Amazing, I fell asleep 🤣

HAHA! I wish we had a birthing centre! They are a bridge between home and hospital I think really! Much nicer too 🤣

@Sprinklerainbows the hospital I'm gonna give birth in quite a good hospital which is nice, will get my own room to stay in so I won't dread it so much! Will probs opt for a water birth if I can!

xalexandra · 28/11/2022 16:23

Just passed out/blacked out when I was getting my nails done, so weird because it came on just suddenly and I was sat down 😂 just been sleeping after. Rang the maternity triage just because I wasn't sure what to do and they didn't seem too concerned though!

Sprinklerainbows · 29/11/2022 11:20

@xalexandra oh that’s good!

oh no wth! Ask for your iron to be checked at your next appointment!!!

I got my results back from the screening…

Downs- 1in 4164 it’s low risk but so much higher than with my son but hey ho

Ed/Pat- 1 in 100,000 so I’m glad about this one because that’s the one I always worry about!

@Cassarat have you had your results yet xx

Hello!! God it feels like it’s been months. I’m 16 weeks today 🙏🏻 Still getting nauseas of an evening before I go to bed which is very annoying. My toddler is acting up at the moment and it’s stressing me out! He’s trying to be naughty to test me and my hormones aren’t allowing me to be patient at all!
Ive been super unwell the past couple weeks, in hospital last Friday because my breathing was shallow, chest was very heavy and coughing, high temp etc. chest infection in turns out 🙄 finished my antibiotics yesterday for that but on top of the infection, I had to have a tooth removed due to infection as well!! That was traumatising, the sound and pressure of it being pulled I nearly passed out! Spend this week in bed feeling sorry for myself. I hope you’re all okay??!
my results were fine, 1 in 100000 and downs 1 in 65000 or something like that. Next scan is Jan 3rd but I’m booking a private one for next week hoping to see the gender 🤞🤞 xx

Sprinklerainbows · 02/12/2022 15:15

@Cassarat aw good to know you’re okay. My toddler is exactly the same!!! Pulling my hair out 🤣😅
Oh no what an absolute nightmare! I had a tooth out once and I still remember that sound and feeling 🤮 hope you’re on the mend now.

ahhh how exciting! My private gender scan is next Saturday 😅😅😅(I’m thinking another boy for me) let us know when you’ve booked it! Xx

Had my 20 week scan yesterday and can't believe it!!! It's a girl ✨✨💕

Honestly every single person I know, had said BOY. Not one person ever said girl. So I was convinced it was a boy. I'm so shocked!!!! But so happy everything looked all normal and healthy! What a relief. Hopefully the rest of the pregnancy continues to be a success! Baby girl waving 😂

Sprinklerainbows · 03/12/2022 18:57

@xalexandra no way congratulations! How exciting!!!
that’s a gorgeous scan, so glad it all went okay! Xx

Sprinklerainbows · 03/12/2022 20:21

@Cassarat yaay! So by this time next week we will all know the genders!

Had my 16 weeks app (with my friend midwife) heard the heartbeat which was lovely 😊
she said I’m the perfect candidate for a homebirth so all very positive! Hope you’re all well!
@Cassarat good luck for your scan tomorrow!

OP posts:
xalexandra · 07/12/2022 21:58

@Sprinklerainbows oh that's brilliant 😁 so nice to hear the heartbeat! Glad everything's all good 🤩 feels like time is moving quite fast now!!

@Cassarat good luck!!! 💕

Sprinklerainbows · 07/12/2022 22:05

@xalexandra it’s so lovely! Wish I’d recorded it now, I will next time!
Yes I feel the same weirdly, are you getting some good movements now? I feel the baby so much already 🤣😅

OP posts:
xalexandra · 07/12/2022 22:09

@Sprinklerainbows yes all the time! I would say probably just over a week ago I noticed it, but wasn't sure as it's my first! But I'm definitely sure now, she's a very active little baby! Especially a night. Random times throughout the day as well but very active when I'm laying in bed (trying to sleep! 😂) Even my partner felt the other day which I couldn't believe!

I'm quite glad I can feel it and know what it is now as it brings me some peace of mind knowing she's moving around in there and doing ok! I'm really surprised as I'm 21 weeks but everyone kept saying to me it could not be till 24 weeks till you feel something!

Sprinklerainbows · 07/12/2022 22:16

@xalexandra ahhh that’s so lovely! Love it when you can both feel!
My little boy was always WILD at night. So annoying 🤣

its SO reassuring especially when they are proper little kicks. That was my fave part of pregnancy last time, I found it painful towards the end though he was an extremely active baby and would make my ribs click!!! So weird but cool 🤣

OP posts:
xalexandra · 07/12/2022 22:23

@Sprinklerainbows I'm imagining if she's active now then she will be kicking me a lot later on 😂 have you got your 20 week scan booked?

I've finally gone crazy and bought absolutely loads of girls baby clothes 😂 no major big purchases yet but just some small little things!

Sprinklerainbows · 07/12/2022 22:48

@xalexandra its a blessing! Hopefully she will, I found it so reassuring to have an active baby, no late night hospital trips for reduced movements etc like other friends of mine!

yes it’s the 5th Jan! But so glad our gender scan is on Saturday because that feels ages away 🤣 also, my midwife said she will see me as often as a first time mum which is lovely otherwise I wouldn’t see her until I’m 28 weeks!!!

oh bless you! As you should! I’m going to buy a couple of things when we know the gender 😍 so exciting

im guessing you’ve announced your pregnancy now?

OP posts:
Sprinklerainbows · 09/12/2022 11:22

@Cassarat hope the scan went well! I’m dying to know… 💙💖

Sprinklerainbows · 10/12/2022 14:16

@Sprinklerainbows omg!!! Congratulations 💕💕💕💕 that's amazing news and love them scan pics, such good ones! She looks like she's doing ok in there 🥰

Sprinklerainbows · 10/12/2022 14:31

@xalexandra ahhh thank you. One of each is the dream for us.
they did a health check and apparently all looks well in there, another anterior placenta (I KNEW IT)
they took a long time deciding the gender so hope it’s right 🤣

OP posts:
xalexandra · 10/12/2022 14:54

@Sprinklerainbows 1 of each is the dream really isn't it 🫶🏻 I think they're pretty correct 95% of the time! You'll get another confirm in a few weeks anyway but that's brilliant news and just makes it so much more real 💕🎉🥰 i think anterior placentas are so common! Almost all pregnant women I've spoke to that are due in April have said they have an anterior placenta! I have a high anterior for placenta which explains why I feel her low down quite a lot!
