I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@xalexandra definitely!
yes I mean I think girls are more difficult to determine because with my son it was blatantly clear haha!
Yes I think it’s actually more common to have an anterior placenta, mine was high with my son and felt all my movements really!!
I felt this baby loads the last few days and it’s all very low down haha

@Sprinklerainbows grateful for any kicks and movement no matter where it is 😂 have you told your son yet? Xx

Sprinklerainbows · 10/12/2022 15:16

@xalexandra absolutely! Although wait until the end and they kick you in the vag 🤣 that’s a fun one. I actually thought my waters went once but he just kicked me REALLY hard in the bladder and I weed everywhere 🤣

yes! He doesn’t understand I don’t think but he asks to ‘kiss baby’ 🥹
we got one of those teddies with the heartbeat and he LOVES it x

Ugh another day another anxiety 🤣 I’ve felt the baby’s more sooo much less the last 3 days, after feeling her so much, now I’ve felt her barely at all! So bloody stressful

xalexandra · 19/12/2022 13:53

@Sprinklerainbows oh no, it's so noticeable after they've been active! But it's totally normal isn't it at this stage, try not to stress xx

Sprinklerainbows · 20/12/2022 20:45

@xalexandra yeah it’s all good she’s moving like a crazy thing now 🤣 18 weeks now, feel like it’s going soooo fast

@Sprinklerainbows hope you had a good
Xmas too! Time going so fast now! I'm due in less than 4 months 😲

Sprinklerainbows · 29/12/2022 17:28

@xalexandra ah it really is! I’m literally half way in a few days! Find it crazy how quickly it goes.
how exciting! Have you started buying things yet?

OP posts:
xalexandra · 30/12/2022 16:30

@Sprinklerainbows yes... slowly! Doing a big shop on Tuesday and hoping to pick up the main things then and get it all in one go, obviously got lots of baby girl clothes/accessories for Xmas which was handy 😀🫶🏻 your 20 week scan must be soon? X

Sprinklerainbows · 30/12/2022 16:40

@xalexandra ooo that’s exciting! You’ve chosen the pram etc?
I’ve literally got her 4 sleepsuits and that’s all. I need so much 🤣 I’ll leave it though because of space 🤣😅
yes next Thursday! Very excited to finally feel a little bit better about it all, and maybe tell people 🤣 x

Happy new year ladies 🫶🏻 ✨

Sprinklerainbows · 01/01/2023 18:33

@xalexandra yes! 3 days until my 20 weeks scan. Couldn’t come quick enough 😩 the scanxiety is real.

ahh happy new year! The year of our babies 🥰

@xalexandra more brown discharge, so confused considering the last was literally 10 weeks ago now! Not sure what’s causing it this time!!! So anxious and frustrated but thankfully scans tomorrow just after lunch, hopefully she’ll all okay and nothings wrong in there

xalexandra · 04/01/2023 19:16

@Sprinklerainbows oh no! Maybe it will just come and go during your pregnancy - I've had it a couple of times early on! Maybe just one of them things that there never is a particular reason for it - it's good that you've got your scan tomorrow with the timing of the discharge! Try not to stress about it, when you Google symptoms for every new week - every week always says you might experience spotting! So try not to worry too much! Good luck in your scan tomorrow, how exciting 🫶🏻✨

Sprinklerainbows · 04/01/2023 19:25

@xalexandra yes! I feel like it’s normal early on but not at this stage, however I did have spotting throughout my son’s pregnancy so I know it’s probably okay, just an extra worry.
ive been so I’ll the last few weeks too and have also had a headache for a week straight. Just not feeling fab this pregnancy!
hope you’re doing alright! I’ll update you after my scan x

xalexandra · 08/01/2023 15:17

@Sprinklerainbows how was the scan? 🥰

Sprinklerainbows · 08/01/2023 17:43

@xalexandra so it didn’t really go to plan sadly. She’s okay but measuring very small. Especially her head, so back on Thursday for a re-scan.
then a double whammy, my placenta is covering my cervix. Lots of extra scans booked in and a whole lot of extra worry 😞
hope you and baby are doing well xx

@Sprinklerainbows measurements can be all
Over the place I've heard? Did they seem concerned?

Does that mean c section on the cards? I've seen so many people say how much chilled the C section was compared to a vaginal birth!

A lovely scan pic though 🤍 I guess at this stage, especially the 20 week scan they have to be extra cautious on everything and double check everything - maybe she's just a small bubba ✨

Sprinklerainbows · 08/01/2023 18:52

@xalexandra Yes! I’m trying not to worry TOO much until the rescan. She’s measuring about 2 weeks behind, so the absolute lowest percentile. If she’s even 0.1 below next week, it’s a fetal medicine referral. Hoping it’s a bad scanning error though 😅

Yes it’s a bit scary, you have to call 999 if you bleed, there’s a pretty big risk of haemorrhage and pre term birth via emergency section. I’m worried but also most do move! I had an amazing, quick labour with my son so I’m really really hoping to get to do it one last time! But as long as she’s here safe that’s all I care about

aw thank you! They didn’t charge me for it because she felt sorry for me 😅 xx

OP posts:
xalexandra · 08/01/2023 18:58

@Sprinklerainbows did they say any reasons why she could be measuring small at the moment?

Ah that's good though, if most do move then I'm sure it will! Maybe it's common? It's just another little worry though isn't it gosh, once this next scan is out the way then hopefully you'll be able to relax! 🙈 at least she's kicking in there 🤗

Sprinklerainbows · 08/01/2023 19:08

@xalexandra either she’s just small atm, or it could be a sign of genetic. I think hopefully they’ll keep a close eye on her. Her femur was measuring under the 10th centile but they didn’t seem so concerned about that, more the head.

yes I’m really hopeful, because apparently 9/10 do move! However… apparently my placenta is in a really weird position 🤣 it’s both posterior and anterior 😅 so weird, but she was like wow that’s odd 🤦🏼‍♀️

She’s VERY kicky, infact it took 4!!!!!! Attempts to get the measurements, because she just wouldn’t stay still, and they still couldn’t complete it 🤣

ive got some great videos of her kicks now, have you managed to catch any videos yet? X

OP posts:
xalexandra · 08/01/2023 19:45

@Sprinklerainbows I guess the head is where the brain is and that's important so understandable!

Wow I didn't even know that was a thing 😂 but at least it hasn't stopped you feeling her! I think mine is high anterior

I caught a video the other day whilst I was in the bath, she seems to kick a lot in the bath! She's been so active since about 19 weeks but whenever I get my camera out, she manages to stop and can't quite get the right time but I noticed that I was feeling her quite low down to begin with and now I feel her alot higher which is nice because also means she's getting bigger and bigger ❤️ I think I hit the viability mark, it's like 23 or 24 weeks I think which is nice! I went to watch the new Matilda the other day with my partners daughter and my god, she absolutely was going crazy in there!! So she's obviously senstive to the noise and music, I'm guessing because that's the loudest place I've been too!! I couldn't even concentrate on the film 😂😂

Sprinklerainbows · 08/01/2023 20:30

Yes there’s so awful conditions we’ve got ourselves worried about! I’m eating the best ‘brain’ diet I can

It doesn’t seem to have! Yes I had a high anterior with my son and it didn’t affect feeling movements at all

Oh yes they love the bath! So weird 🤣 yes 24 weeks, I can’t WAIT to get to 24 especially with these complications 😬 21 in a few days so not too long

Oh my goodness 🤣 having an active baby is SO lovely, I feel so sorry for people who don’t feel their baby much xx

hope @Cassarat is okay haven’t heard for a while
