@Skylark1990 I've had covid twice as well 🤦🏼‍♀️ most recently 2 days after I found out I was pregnant!

Longbin · 09/09/2022 17:52

I think I'm just going to get the flu jab and whooping cough. I didn't have the covid booster so I've only had the initial 2 jabs. I don't really have a proper reason for not getting the covid one though!

ancienthouse · 09/09/2022 17:58

@PuddingBear the flu jab is different every year and I think last year or the year before they introduced a new type of vaccine for it. So the covid vaccine is no different really, probably even safer since it's been so highly scrutinised and trials involved more people than usual.

PuddingBear · 09/09/2022 18:04

@ancienthouse Yeah, I know that, but it has decades upon decades of being done.

If I wasn’t pregnant I would absolutely get it (if they were offering it to everyone again), but the fact that there’s a baby involved just makes me pause.

I certainly wouldn’t allow my toddler to have it (or an older child if I had one) so giving it to myself while carrying another doesn’t seem right 🤷‍♀️

ClaBro1 · 09/09/2022 19:09

Just had a private scan and gestational sac was empty. Heartbroken but hopefully nature will take its course and we can try again. Wishing you all lots of luck x

PuddingBear · 09/09/2022 19:11

@ClaBro1 So sorry to hear that 💐

Hi ladies, hope you are all ok!

I am due to run out of pregnancy multivitamins and going to go buy some more tomorrow.
im using the seven seas pregnancy ones, and although they’re massive they seem to be working well with my body (i snap them and take one half at once!)

I have googled and noticed seven seas do a pregnancy pack with omega 3 capsules, so you’d take one pregnancy vitamin and one omega 3 capsule. I don’t feel like I know enough before changing but, what do you all take?
When is it recommended to take omega 3? I never eat fish as it makes me really sick so won’t be getting any additional benefits from the recommended fish through this pregnancy.

I have read online to take omega 3 from 12 weeks but then some other places say take it straight away…. Hmmm!

Any recommendations/advice welcome, don’t have another appointment with EPU until Thursday next week, im 6+4 today 🙂

Theowlwhowasafraid · 09/09/2022 21:25

@Dragonfly909 the tiredness has hit me more over here too! I feel drunk some days I’m so tired and have been thankful for my daughter being in nursery (I’m still on mat leave) so I’ve been napping, she was sent home sick yesterday though so I’ve not been able to nap as much! I don’t know how I’ll cope when I’m back at work next week, I don’t remember feeling this tired last time! It’s a killer. I don’t feel like I’m being a very good mum either, I’m too much like a zombie!

Missgemini · 09/09/2022 21:43

@LauraA31 It’s so tough to recommend as people tolerate different pregnancy vitamins. I’m still on pregnacare for now.
As far as I know, the NHS only really recommends folic acid and vitamin D. I’m not so sure Omega 3 is a must.

@Theowlwhowasafraid I am so so soooo tired! I miss being able to do things without feeling like I’ve run a marathon.

Missgemini · 09/09/2022 21:44

Does anyone else have a horrible taste in their mouth? I had this last pregnancy too. Any recommendations? Helpppp

I feel the same as you @PuddingBear , is it what we'd call 'a pregnant pause' ?? 🤭

Margo34 · 09/09/2022 22:03

@LauraA31 my body does not tolerate multivitamins of any brand, as @Missgemini said! I stick to Folic Acid and Vitamin D, I did so with DC1, too. And it works out so much cheaper too 🤷

Margo34 · 09/09/2022 22:04

@ClaBro1 look after yourself lovely 💐

PuddingBear · 09/09/2022 22:06

@Margo34 Ha ha 😅

Hi everyone ☺️
Just catching up with the whole thread. Haven't been on here in a while as didn't want to get my hopes up. So we went for a scan on Wednesday where I thought I'd be 8 weeks 5 days and I was so so nervous I don't know how I walked through the door!
But, there on the screen was our gorgeous little rainbow baby measuring in at 9 weeks 2 days so pretty much bang on! Thought I'd share a little picture as I was absolutely blown away we could see everything! 2 little arms 2 little legs we even saw the 2 little feet!!! And most importantly the lovely strong heartbeat. Hope everyone is plodding on ok, not long til we all start having the "proper" 12 week scans and it all becomes super super real!

That is unbelievable 😍 I had a scan at 5+3, what a difference a week makes!! Glad all went well xx
