I’m joining from thread 3..

Only posted a handful of times and don’t want to tempt fate, but im 5 weeks today… it’s uncertain exactly how far due to me having 24/25 day cycles so im either 5+1 or 5 on the nose!

I have decided to stop testing, did another digital last night and it dropped one week; then did a first response and the second line has lightened.. read somewhere to try diluting urine so did that and got a super super dark pregnancy line, think i need to accept testing isn’t helping me anymore 😂 I think i became obsessed with seeing that line appear!

I have had lower back aches and some period style cramping in my tummy, i have spoke to GP who wasn’t the best and said ‘monitor and if you bleed go to A&E’ but luckily nothing like that..
I have a lot of watery discharge but nothing coloured or unusual.

Private scan booked for 11th September, so anxious and hoping everything goes well until then! X

Longbin · 25/08/2022 12:27

I don't think I'll be posting on here anymore but wish you all the best x

Tropicana1 · 25/08/2022 12:28

I’m so sorry @B1993 💐

ancienthouse · 25/08/2022 12:31

@B1993 so sorry to hear your update, it's so rubbish isn't it. I hope you have time to rest and recover and wishing you all the best x

Tubbytele · 25/08/2022 12:37

@B1993 really sorry that you're going through this. Take care of yourself lovely.

limoncelloo · 25/08/2022 12:38

@AliceinSlumberland it was a couple of days before 6 weeks. In a way I'm glad I have symptoms in another way I'm exhausted and spend a lot of time crying and feeling sorry for myself 🙃

AliceinSlumberland · 25/08/2022 13:16

@B1993 Just seen your update, I’m so so sorry, sending you lots and lots of love x

Is anyone else just really out of action with nausea and/or sickness?

I feel like I’ll never enjoy food again and I’m barely managing any work. Because I’m hardly being sick I just have this constant strong nausea and now dizziness.

My GP has prescribed me cyclizine but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference. I’m pretty miserable.

AliceinSlumberland · 25/08/2022 13:16

@Longbin i hope everything is okay, I’ll definitely miss you on the thread.

I feel very very sick all the time but not actually been sick yet. I was similar with my first though - only sick twice but constantly nauseous.

Food seems to make it feel better for a short time after even though I don’t feel like eating.

I think the hardest part is that my toddler just wants to play all the time and I just want to lie down 😅 She doesn’t play on her own with me (will for her dad!) so I have to play all games with her.

ancienthouse · 25/08/2022 13:25

@PuddingBear I'm exactly the same. Trying to juggle work and a toddler while just feeling sick and wanting to lie down all the time! I'm being very unproductive.

alwaysseeingstars · 25/08/2022 13:26

@B1993 I'm so sorry to hear this 😢

@Longbin I hope everything is OK x

@LauraA31 there is definitely a thing of testing too much isn't there 😂I made myself stop once I'd got the 3+ clearblue. I think it's just hard when things are so uncertain to just have faith!

OttilieKnackered · 25/08/2022 13:27

@PuddingBear thanks for your response. It sounds like you’re getting on with things though (I suppose you have no choice with a toddler), but I really really feel like I can’t. I’m not a shirker, not had a day off sick in years apart from a couple when I had a MMC.

Currently sat in bed with a bucket, sweating and feeling really lightheaded.

I just feel so helpless at the idea of several more weeks of this.

Skylark1990 · 25/08/2022 13:30

@B1993 Really sorry for you - I hope you're OK, look after yourself xxx
@Longbin Hope everything is OK xx

@OttilieKnackered Early pregnancy is no joke, it can make us feel horrendous... I think the sickness meds perhaps work better if you're spewing a lot so maybe wouldn't help with nausea? Not sure tho... I could be well wrong! Honestly, don't feel bad about this - just take some time off work, go to bed, lie down with an ice pack or cold flannel for your head, dim lights and listen to an audio book or podcast and just try to rest and go to sleep for a bit. I have heard countless stories from women who said their nausea was a lot worse when they were exhausted so rest, rest and more rest is an important thing to try! and try to eat even if you don't feel like it. Crackers, biscuits, dry toast - anything to line your stomach. Plus some fizzy drink can help. Chances are it won't be this bad the whole time. Hang in there! xx

@ancienthouse It’s so hard isn’t it! You feel like you’re failing in all areas 😅

@OttilieKnackered I’m sorry yours is so bad 💐 I hope you manage to find something to help it or it passes quickly!

Lunabun · 25/08/2022 13:57

Hello everyone. I joined the Facebook group a while ago but I haven't actually posted here yet!

I'm currently 5+4. No symptoms yet except I'm so exhausted and sleepy allllll the time. I could probably sleep all day if I could.

This is my second baby, and I didn't feel like this first time round!

KennAdams · 25/08/2022 13:59

Just got back from the EPU. Shes dated me 6 weeks ish and we saw a hb.

I really was expecting the worst. I won't be paying for a private early "reassurance" scan again that's for sure.

AliceinSlumberland · 25/08/2022 14:06

Ah @KennAdams I was wondering how you were getting on, brilliant news.

bluebubbles12 · 25/08/2022 14:07

@B1993 I'm so sorry x

CG93 · 25/08/2022 14:15

Hi everyone,

I have found this thread as I am hoping to connect with some people in the same position as I am. I am keeping the pregnancy a secret from most other than my Mam and husband and don't want to worry them with my worried thoughts! I have recently found out I am pregnant. Unplanned but very pleasant surprise after the initial shock. Based on my LMP, I am 6 weeks pregnant today. I tested positive last Thursday with a Clear Blue showing 1-2 weeks which seems a little off in comparison to the LMP. It is now saying 2-3 weeks - are these tests actually reliable date-wise?

Also, does anyone have any tips for alleviating this constant anxiety about MC. I am usually a very relaxed person but I am hardly sleeping and feel sick with worry constantly. I have not experienced any morning sickness but have very sore boobs and am very tired. Should I be worried if I haven't had any morning sickness?

I think a private scan would help but don't want to book one too early. Any thoughts?

Thank you x

GeorgiePorge · 25/08/2022 14:17

@lunabun I'm similar date and no symptoms but really sleepy. I remember it all kicking on a bit later with my first so hoping it doesn't get worse!

@OttilieKnackered so sorry you are feeling so rough.. I can handle most things but nausea turns me into a wreck. Make sure you push your GP to try different anti nausea.. I remember there being some good advice threads on this.

so sorry to hear some posters experiencing bleeding/early loss... I can't really I.agine how tough it is for so.e of you with multiple losses. 💐Flowers

ancienthouse · 25/08/2022 14:26

@KennAdams that's brilliant news, it's such a relief to see the heartbeat.

@alwaysseeingstars i got my 3+ weeks at 4+2, i should have stopped testing then haha! I did use my last digital after about 50 wee’s through the day as im needing to go so much more! Mum is convinced im having twins, they run so strong on her side and she said my tests were so dark for the date i was supposed to be haha! I agree though, it’s so hard to have faith when there is so much going on we can’t see!

@CG93 hello! I was reluctant to join the thread as i didn’t want to jinx anything, im 5 weeks and im super anxious about MC. I have a lot of watery discharge and im wiping every hour to make sure there is no blood, which there isn’t… im trying to relax but can’t ha!
I don’t know about the reliability of CB digital, i got 1-2 weeks at 10DPO, 14DPO 2-3 weeks and last week i got 3+ weeks, then last night it dropped again to 2-3 weeks. It developed so fast and I’ve read the weeks aren’t 100% accurate 🙂

I have sore boobs, back ache and slight cramping with loads of watery discharge, also really tired but ive not had sickness yet either..
I have booked in for a scan at 7 weeks and it’s taking forever to come round ha! X
