Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

Congratulations 41!

I'm due beginning of April too. I got my BFP on Tuesday and tbh I wish I hadn't found out so early, but we were due to start IVF so we had a test and found out I was pregnant! I'm a bundle of nerves too because of previous MMC and chemical last year. I'm convinced it's all going to go wrong :(

41andtryingforfirst · 22/07/2022 12:05

@Lyla82 congratulations that's amazing news!

I know what you mean - I was up at EPU yesterday as I had a bleed but as it's so early they couldn't see anything on the scan so it's a waiting game now.

I'm so sorry for your losses - it's heartbreaking isn't it?

Hopefully this time works out well for us both and we can support each other on this journey xx

Hiya
Congrats everyone's BFP's!

I had my BFP on Wednesday. I'm not due my period til Sunday but have been experiencing for more than a week. Nausea is now kicking my arse haha.
I have a 5 year old girl and 2 year old twin girls. I felt this sick when I was carrying the twins.. hoping that I haven't lucked out with twins again, although entirely possible! My twin pregnancy and this one were unplanned, but not unwanted 🥰 Due date according to the NHS calculated is 2nd April but my Flo app says the 8th.. just got the long wait til the 12 week scan.

41andtryingforfirst · 22/07/2022 15:40

@36and4th welcome and congratulations! Sounds like you have your hands full 😂

Wishing you a smooth pregnancy x

Thank you!

Sorry to hear about your bleed. You must have been so worried. Is it literally just a case of waiting for a viability scan now? The waiting game is horrible isn't it! My anxiety goes through the roof, especially as I'm in a similar boat trying for my first at just shy of 40. I'm on progesterone too, so I'm so paranoid something is wrong and I won't know cos I won't bleed.

It would definitely be good to support eachother xx

Congrats on your BFP!
I'm sorry to hear about your losses. Let's hope this goes OK for us all this time.
I have cramping but no positive symptoms either apart from fatigue. I'm 3+6 at the moment. The lack of sore boobs is worrying me tho!

tulipsunday · 22/07/2022 17:29

Hello can I join? 4wks 1 day so technically 30th March due date but my 27th March due date son was born on 11th April so am kinda expecting another April baby 😊 my last pregnancy had v few symptoms so I understand those worries about not all being ok. Fingers crossed all be ok

36and4th · 22/07/2022 18:40

Definitely try not to worry about the lack of symptoms, some pregnancies have loads, or just a few but also none at all ☺️

With my daughter I didn't really get any apart from sickness. With my twins it was fatigue and sickness. And this time round it's fatigue, sore boobs, dizziness and sickness.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone xx

Hi everyone, I’m tentatively joining this thread having got a BFP yesterday. I’m super early, not quite 4 weeks, but am feeling very headachy. Can’t remember if that was an early symptom with my last pregnancy or not. Wishing us all lots of luck for the coming weeks!

Loz365 · 23/07/2022 08:07

Hi everyone!
Also tentatively joining! Finally got my BFP yesterday after 18 months of trying (PCOS) and first successful cycle of letrozole.

4 weeks today, due date 2nd April. Only symptoms I have is mild cramps and tinges and boobs are a little sore.

Congratulations to you all! X

36and4th · 23/07/2022 08:31

Is anyone still testing after getting BFP?

I've been testing everyday nearly.. which is stupid I know. The lines seem lighter today on the cheap tests and I've done with FMU. The line on the CB was a little darker I think? Worried that it's going to be a chemical pregnancy :( Still have all the symptoms, but period is technically due tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that it sticks x

Biscuitsplease · 23/07/2022 08:52

Hi!
I’m tentatively join too. I had a positive test in the week, and am 4 weeks today. I’m going to continue testing for the next week or two as I had a chemical pregnancy in June at 4+2.

my only symptoms at the moment is a little bit of nausea the last few days and being incredibly tired. Had to nap yesterday at 6pm for 20mins which is unheard of!!

good luck everyone

36and4th · 23/07/2022 08:56

I'm 4 weeks today too ☺️

tulipsunday · 23/07/2022 08:57

@36and4th I got my FRER positive test on Tuesday and done two more tests since then. Got one more test in the pack so will probably do that one perhaps before going for first scan but otherwise not planning to buy more.

Hope everything goes well for us all 😊

36and4th · 23/07/2022 09:00

I should probably stop testing and just let it be!

41andtryingforfirst · 23/07/2022 09:27

@tulipsunday @SearchingTheSkies @Loz365 @Biscuitsplease welcome to you all and congratulations!

My update - light brown spotting since Thursday is on and off. Had bloods done on Thursday and back to hospital for more bloods today. Hopefully they'll see a good rise in HCG as I can't be doing with another MC so soon after the last one!

@36and4th I'm not so sure how much point there is in continuing to test tbh. Last pregnancy my HCG was up to over 4000 at 5 +3 and I still had a MC. It was probably higher but I had the bloods done after the MC started. I was doing the tests to reassure myself but it happened regardless. I'd say save your money.

Wishing the best of luck to you all xx

@41andtryingforfirst good luck at the hospital today. Sending baby dust your way.

And thank you xx

tulipsunday · 23/07/2022 10:40

@41andtryingforfirst good luck for today will keep everything crossed for you x

Lyla82 · 23/07/2022 11:21

@36and4th I think it's the lack of symptoms plus the cramping that's worrying me. During my last two pregnancies my boobs were very swollen, but not at all this time. And I've had cramps every day since I tested positive.

I kept testing this week but had two HCG blood tests and it was going up, so I stopped. But now I'm tempted to take another CB digital to see if it goes to 3+, but part of me thinks that if it doesn't go up, or it goes down, then I still need to wait for the 6 week reassurance scan to see what's happened anyway as I'm taking progesterone so may not bleed if there was an issue.

It's such a worrying time isn't it.

Lyla82 · 23/07/2022 11:22

@36and4th @Biscuitsplease I'm 4 weeks today too 😊

3rdtimelucky2022 · 23/07/2022 11:23

Hello,

Please could I tentatively join?

i had a MMC in March and have had multiple chemical pregnancies before that so I’m not positive that this is going to progress but feeling anxious and need others to talk too!

I think my due date is 04/04. Tested positive on Wednesday and lines have got a bit darker since. Period due on Tuesday.

i have been testing daily as I can’t help myself. I’m well aware it doesn’t guarantee anything. Had very strong lines in last pregnancy and even a heartbeat on a scan but it ended at 9 weeks.

Not sure I have any symptoms yet…I’m exhausted but I’ve had a very stressful week and I’m not sleeping great so I don’t think that’s just the pregnancy.

fingers crossed for us all !

Lyla82 · 23/07/2022 11:23

@41andtryingforfirst best of luck for your bloods today. I hope they see a good rise. Let us know how you get on x
