Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

@Longbin I'm the same as well I've never taken any medication in my previous pregnancies and I've quite wary of it. I'm trying to get my head around it but I suppose it's worse for the baby if I can't keep anything down and I'm straining myself so much I'm bleeding 😩

So many tough decisions x

Badhairday101 · 13/08/2022 22:34

Can I join please. I have had a positive test today, my period was a few days late, due date is around 20th April. I am 41 and had a mmc in June so surprised it’s happened so quickly. Keeping my fingers crossed but not getting excited.
Good luck everyone!

@limoncelloo I won’t be taking any anti sickness medication whilst pregnant. My mum was prescribed Benedictine (Debendox) when she was pregnant with me in 1981 and it caused birth defects. Thankfully all I have is slightly deformed little toes but it could have been so much worse and who knows what internal damage it’s called.

mummatara · 13/08/2022 23:12

@Badhairday101 welcome there's a thread 2 that's been made. I also had a mmc in June I don't think the anxiety will truly leave us praying for sticky babies 🤞🏼

Luckily medications have come a long way in over 40 years.

Limon, if in doubt I would call your GP or contact the drug company. I really do understand your concerns and I also try to avoid medication while pregnant (I don’t take paracetamol for example), but I’m staying on my low dose of antidepressant because the risks of coming off it outweigh the tiny risk to the baby. I discussed it with the midwife a few days ago.

@Orangesaretheonly I’m so sorry to hear, if you can’t try self referral, try a+e and say you have heavy bleeding and are in pain with a positive test, they really should refer you over, hope it turns out okay 🤞🏻🤞🏻Xx

Epau didn't want to see me cause I'm under 6 weeks. Been bleeding for three days and it's got heavier so sure it's a chemical sadly! X

Hello!

i had my bfp on Saturday! I think I’m due around 16th-17th April based on when I ovulated. We had a miscarriage in June so I’m apprehensive but I definitely feel waaaay more pregnant this time around 🥰. I already have a little boy who’s going to be 3 in October.

@41andtryingforfirst could I possibly have the Facebook link again as that one seems to have expired 😊. I really liked being part of a Facebook group with my first, really good having girls going through the same as you.

Longbin · 16/08/2022 16:13

I posted a couple of weeks ago as I was concerned about spotting however, went for a scan yesterday and all looks to be ok. Got to see the heartbeat too! I am measuring 7 weeks and due 3rd April.

I was spotting for about a week, it stopped for 3-4 days and now I’ve been spotting again for 4 days. Hoping it stops soon as it still makes me worry!

MIW01 · 18/08/2022 12:46

Complete miscarriage at 6 weeks for us. I started spotting Wednesday last week. Heavy bleeding and clotting on Sunday. Had a scan at early pregnancy unit today and they confirmed negative pregnancy test and uterus now empty. We are taking g the positive from this . . . We now know we can get pregnant, so I've ordered a bunch of ovulation kits and pregnancy tests and we'll try again but won't be an April 2023 baby!

N27 · 18/08/2022 13:40

Hi guys!

I haven’t posted since thread 1 as I’m terrified of something going wrong so nervously waiting for our first scan before getting too excited but my god I could really do with a virtual cuddle today.

i’ve always got up around 6am when my DH leaves for work but this week I’ve just been too tired so I’ve been sleeping in till 7.30. I’ve now just got up from a lunch time nap and STILL feel exhausted. Plus the nausea just won’t let up today 🤢

Tropicana1 · 18/08/2022 13:47

@MIW01 sorry to see this, hope you're ok

Skylark1990 · 18/08/2022 14:02

@N27 join us on the April thread 3 - this one no longer active x

April93 · 02/09/2022 09:35

Hi all!

I'm due early April as well :) On my partners birthday in fact! Been trying for a year and was undergoing testing as I hadn't ovulated in 6 months. I ovulated one time so we decided to give it a go and its the little egg that could 🥰

This is my first pregnancy and the first trimester has been ROUGH! Lots of sickness and migraines.

How are we all doing? Xx
