Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

@Lemonbell I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish the very best for you in the future

@Longbin congrats and welcome!

@tulipsunday I've told people who have messaged me to check on me since the MC. Funnily enough that excludes my sister and my best friend! I figure those people who have been there for me over the last 3 months deserve to know and those that haven't, don't!

@Lemonbell I'm so sorry for your loss 😢 hopefully those investigations are able to shed some light of what's going on.

Best of luck for the future x

@Lemonbell I'm so sorry for your loss 💐 I hope the investigations reveal some answers for you. Best of luck x

@tulipsunday I haven't told anyone else yet but I met up with my best friends for a birthday meal last night and because they all know about the struggles we've been having, everyone was asking how things are going. I kept quiet but I'm meeting up with them again next week and I think I'll struggle to keep it from them. They've all be brilliant over the last 18 months and I think it will be nice to have the support and not have to keep lying!
I see my parents regularly too and I think they'll guess pretty quickly when I keep turning down alcohol!

limoncelloo · 24/07/2022 16:48

Hi all and congrats!

Would love to join in this thread- believe I'm due 1st April but have booked in for an early dating scan.

I got my first BFP at what I think was 9dpo. Today I got 2-3 weeks on a digital.

This is baby #4 and I'm super excited although it's been 5-6 years since my last so it feels like starting all over again and I've forgotten everything about pregnancy 🙈

36and4th · 24/07/2022 16:52

@limoncelloo congratulations!

This is 4th baby for me too 💕

tulipsunday · 24/07/2022 17:47

@Lemonbell sorry for your loss and really hope you get some answers

Wow some 4th babies that is impressive 😁 Lovely to hear people's plans for telling/holding off telling . I also have a dinner with friends soon. Think will hold off on telling them but like some of you say think the not drinking will be obvious!

Forgot something important today for work. Think just been such a busy and emotional week that my brain is a bit scrambled! Oh well... 😂

Longbin · 24/07/2022 17:59

@Lemonbell sorry for you loss 😔

@tulipsunday I think I will need to tell people very soon, I'm a bridesmaid at a weekend this weekend and will have to explain why I'm not drinking. Also going on an all inclusive holiday with friends mid august 🥴

Elciekay · 24/07/2022 19:04

@Lemonbell I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of love.

@tulipsunday so I'm firmly in the tell people if they ask. My first mc I hadn't told all my friends which made things difficult during and after mc.

V impressed with those of you on your 4th!

limoncelloo · 24/07/2022 19:25

@Lemonbell very sorry for your loss. I've had three miscarriages, it's hard not to give up hope 💐

@36and4th woo 4th babies club!

For me personally I tell my close friends and family... I know it's traditional not to, but I believe if anything happens it's much better to have that support then to hide it x

SearchingTheSkies · 24/07/2022 19:35

@Lemonbell so very sorry to read your news. Hoping that the medical experts can figure things out for you ASAP. Don’t lose hope!

Has anyone contacted their hospital/dr yet to get the ball rolling for the booking appointment?

limoncelloo · 24/07/2022 19:59

@SearchingTheSkies I had a gp appointment last week for something unrelated so I let him know and he's put my name down for the midwife, just got to wait for her to call and arrange the first appointment apparently

Loz365 · 24/07/2022 20:38

@SearchingTheSkies I haven't yet, I've been under the infertility clinic so I'll be calling them tomorrow. I'm hoping they'll want to do an early scan 🤞🤞

Sylviasocks · 24/07/2022 20:48

Hi all

I tested today - a few days earlier than I told myself I would - and am so delighted to have got a BFP!

31 and hopefully my first baby following an early loss in January. Provisional due date of 6/7 April.

Best wishes to all for a healthy pregnancy! So glad I have company for these first few anxiety inducing weeks.

36and4th · 24/07/2022 21:06

@Sylviasocks congratulations on your BFP!

@SearchingTheSkies not yet. I need to change GPs, but may wait a couple of weeks. Just to be sure. I didn't see the midwife with my twins til 7ish weeks

36and4th · 25/07/2022 12:02

Bought pre-natal vitamins today and taken the first one. Seems really real. Hasn't quite sunk in yet.

tulipsunday · 25/07/2022 12:17

@SearchingTheSkies I have filled in the form for the hospital and they said they will get back to me with a booking appointment date. Thought would just send it off as it will be useful to know in advance for work.

Welcome @Sylviasocks and congratulations!
Aw @36and4th it is nice isn't it to be able to start those little things that make it feel a bit more real!

Been running round after my son this morning at soft play. Trying to make the most of it in case nausea strikes soon!

limoncelloo · 25/07/2022 16:15

Is anyone else finding it so hard to relax at this early stage?

I'm trying to plough on with positive thoughts, but find myself knicker checking and overthinking every little ache, taking daily pregnancy tests even though my lines are so strong! 🙈

Hope it's not just me x

@limoncelloo I could have written this! I have managed to hold off buying more tests but i feel like it would help my worry to see the lines!
X

Yes! Very much so! I had two early losses before my dd so I’m trying not to get ahead of myself. I can’t bring myself to test anymore as I just want to stay in this little bubble of thinking everything’s going to be fine. I’m a bit worried as my cramps and back ache have disappeared. But then with my dd I don’t remember having any symptoms until 6 weeks. Wish I could just fast forward these first few weeks!

Yes! Definitely! It still really hasn't sunk in. This is the first day I've not tested, I only have the cheap tests and they've been faint the last couple of days I did them, but it was a clear positive on the FRER and CB. So it's confusing.

I was looking at booking a 6 week scan, but have held off so far..

I don't know why I'm fretting so much. I didn't with my twins. I'm still feeling so tired and nauseous, plus I've had more cramping today. Technically I'm a day late. But there is no brown blood or anything. I'm in work tonight, so hopefully it is all a distraction.

Whats everyone else doing to keep distracted?

41andtryingforfirst · 25/07/2022 17:52

@limoncelloo yup - my brown bleeding still hasn't stopped - that's 5 days now. It's doing my head in and stressing me out. I had bloods last Thurs and they were 42 and then on Sat and they were 123 so that's a really strong rise but no idea what they're put now cause they won't repeat them.

Got another scan on Thursday. Going to find it v difficult to relax until then x
