Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

My bleeding has gotten heavier overnight so I'm pretty positive I'm out. 😔
Not too sure what to do and if I need to take a test again in a few days or what. Feeling totally lost. Wishing you all healthy pregnancies 💕 ! If by some miracle I am still pregnant I'll check back in but not holding out any hope xx

Longbin · 13/08/2022 08:34

@Orangesaretheonly have you been able to go EPAU or are you too early? Sorry I've missed a few posts as I'm away.

Hopefully the bleeding stops quickly and we see you back here with positive news soon ❤️❤️❤️

No I phoned yesterday and she said I can't self refer but also am too early 4+6. In a weird limbo where I don't really know what's happening. We have a pregnancy advice line who can refer me so might see what happens over weekend and then call and try and get a scan just so I know either way. X

Longbin · 13/08/2022 08:42

@Orangesaretheonly i hope you get answers next week 😔

mummatara · 13/08/2022 08:45

@Orangesaretheonly so sorry lovely ❤️ how far along are you? Sending lots of baby dust your way please keep us updated

Wouldloveanother · 13/08/2022 09:04

@Orangesaretheonly hope you’re okay, must be so disappointing for you 😔 sending you baby dust xx

limoncelloo · 13/08/2022 09:09

Morning ladies, hope you're all well.

I've been so so sick. There was bright red blood in my sick this morning. I'm not really sure what to do with it being a Saturday and I can't self-refer to EPU so I'm going to just ring 111 and ask them 🤷‍♀️

Anyone ever had this before?

Wouldloveanother · 13/08/2022 09:11

Limon poor you! It sounds to me like you’ve burst a blood vessel vomiting, but probably best to get checked over. Hope you’re ok!

Sunnyxo · 13/08/2022 09:18

@Orangesaretheonly I’m so sorry to hear, if you can’t try self referral, try a+e and say you have heavy bleeding and are in pain with a positive test, they really should refer you over, hope it turns out okay 🤞🏻🤞🏻Xx

Thank you so much everyone for your support.. as per nhs guidance they recommend to contact midwife as soon as possible but then nothing is scheduled in terms of booking appointment.. I am
unab to reach my midwife community centre to speak to them about a booking appointment..

Wouldloveanother · 13/08/2022 09:24

@1sttimemumma194 in the nicest way I think you’re getting a bit ahead of yourself and worrying too much! In my first pregnancy I didn’t get a letter through with a booking appointment until about 7 weeks - the booking appointment is usually held at 9/10 weeks.

Early pregnancy is odd because nothing much happens - you inform the GP/community midwife, but then nothing much happens for a few weeks. If you don’t hear back by 8 weeks then by all means chase it up, but what you’re experiencing is the norm in my experience.

limoncelloo · 13/08/2022 09:59

They've made me an appointment to be seen in the OOH clinic in the hospital so will see what they say. Haven't been sick again touch wood x

alwaysseeingstars · 13/08/2022 10:07

@Orangesaretheonly I'm so sorry you're going through this, I hope you're ok xx

Longbin · 13/08/2022 10:19

@1sttimemumma194 I don't have a booking appointment either, I don't have my 12 week scan booked and haven't spoken to a midwife. I'm 6+1 and self referred before 4 weeks. It is normal to not have it all booked in yet.

CinderellaFant · 13/08/2022 10:30

I know it's bloating but I seem to have woken up with a bump this morning 😳😂

@Orangesaretheonly how much heavier is the bleeding? Can it fill a pad? If so how long does it take to fill it? What colour is the blood?

@limoncelloo I've never had this during pregnancy but I have had it when I had gastrointestinal issues due to irritation of the stomach/oesophagus. It was a few years ago but I think it was from throwing up loads. So sorry you're so poorly. Hopefully the doctors will find some answers for you. X

It's heavier than yesterday. No it doesn't fill pads. What's weird is it only comes out when I wipe (tmi sorry!) no clots as such but stringy bits. I feel incredibly sick today which is giving me a tiny bit of probably false hope. Going to test again Monday morning and then go from there I think xx

ThatsTooFantastic · 13/08/2022 11:05

Hi all,
I’ve been lurking the past week and just wanted to say huge congratulations to those excited! Also how it must be so worrying for those experiencing bleeding and uncertainty, sending warm thoughts!

I was on holiday last week with my folks, expected my period, super bloated, moody, pain in my back and abdomen. After a few days thinking “today must be the day” I finally bought 2 tests covertly from a supermarket in the next town (difficult when shopping with folks!), got home (Monday) and had an immediate positive, really strong.
Showed my partner who seemed excited. Did the next test the following day (Tuesday) and again it was immediate +
I’m worried as this would be my first, I’m almost mid-thirties, and before the BFP we’d been drinking etc.,. (Family holiday!).
Luckily I could blame the heatwave for not wanting to drink the rest of the week, but they might have their suspicions… Don’t want to tell people until I’m at least seen by a midwife.
First day of my last period was July 6th so apparently I’m 5 weeks. My DP seems happy and we’ve already been making jokes about “the baby” and coming up with names… Hard not to jump the gun!

I’m effing knackered, have had periodic headaches (could be caffeine withdrawal?), pain in my abdomen that sounds like round ligament pain, plus my back. My boobs are sore which doesn’t happen for me normally in my cycles.
No nausea but I am craving eggs like a fiend (been vegan over a decade 🫠).

Anyway, all that to say, it’s highly likely I’m pregnant at the moment and if all goes well my
due date is April 14th!!!

Wishing everyone luck and hugs and thank you for letting me join this journey with you while I only have DP IRL to fret to 😅

Cariad mawr from Cardiff! xx

41andtryingforfirst · 13/08/2022 11:09

@Orangesaretheonly this does sound like mine - the brown stringy bits. I've had it for 23 days but still pregnant (I think). Fingers crossed it's nothing 🤞

J1290 · 13/08/2022 11:33

@limoncelloo prev pregnancy was sick lots and was normally blood in mine due to the trauma of being aick. Used to get nose bleeds also.

Longbin · 13/08/2022 21:14

@limoncelloo how did you get on at the clinic?

Is anyone taking anti sickness medication and do they work? I didn't take any last time but I was sick throughout with my daughter. I couldn't keep anything down really until third trimester and even then it was pretty awful, so I think I should if this carries on

limoncelloo · 13/08/2022 21:20

Hi @Longbin I updated on the new thread- dr said I've probably irritated my oesophagus and had put me on prochlorperazine 3 x daily.

Not sure if it's working yet I do still feel very nauseous but I haven't been vomiting which is something I guess.

Hope you're okay xx
