@sunnyd67 great that it's stopped. It can be so many things but likely to not be anything. Did you call your midwife? X

flowergarden16 · 09/07/2022 21:00

Thanks everyone xxx

sunnyd67 · 09/07/2022 21:03

@flowergarden16 no, I didn't. I thought if I have anymore discharge like that today I would phone triage, but feeling fine. Ive got midwife app on Tuesday, so I will mentioned then if nothing changes by then.

Raindrops2015 · 09/07/2022 21:34

Hi. My baby usually kicks alot round about now. I'm a bit over 24 weeks and have been having this nighttime strong kicking routine for a few weeks but tonight there's nothing. I'm really anxious anyway cos of previous loss. Is there anything I can do. I've no sugary drinks to hand and my lo is in bed sleeping so don't want to be getting her up to go out. Lying here 40 minutes and have felt nothing.

barneymcgroo · 09/07/2022 22:18

Have you tried an icy cold drink? Sometimes works for me.

sunnyd67 · 09/07/2022 22:52

@Raindrops2015 have you tried to walking around and then laying down again?

Raindrops2015 · 09/07/2022 23:07

I ended up ringing triage. I'm on holiday and it's just me and my kid. I'd no sugary drinks and only a warm bottle of water and some buns which did nothing. I ended up nipping out and buying a coke with ice from holiday pub (bunked the huge queue as my lo was left on her own and I was freaking out she'd wake up and panic). I've had a few kicks from then. Triage wanted me to go in tonight but think with the kicks they will tell em to leave it hopefully as I don't want to drag my lo on a 45 minute drive to a busy maternity hospital at this time of night.
Sorry. I was so freaked out I started a new thread. Thanks for advice x

barneymcgroo · 10/07/2022 11:30

@Raindrops2015 how are you doing today? Hope all back to normal. X

Annny27 · 10/07/2022 14:38

I thought the other thread had gone quiet but didn't realise it had ended haha!

Annny27 · 10/07/2022 14:39

@Raindrops2015 I am 24+2 and I always called about reduced movement last week and the midwife said ubtill 26 weeks they would only be able to check babies heartbeat and not to a trace because they are still small with variable patterns at this stage but it's good you got through to them

Annny27 · 10/07/2022 14:40

Also* not always

Skl2021 · 10/07/2022 15:23

@Bridgey8 how u doing? Starting to get uncomfortable especially under my ribs 🤦 xx

Bridgey8 · 10/07/2022 17:56

@Skl2021 my ribs are still the worst bit! I still have the weird burning pain there - god knows what that is. Other than that just hot and bothered.... my next door neighbour told me to do a hot water bottle and freeze it - then pop it in my bed a couple of hours before sleep time! Ended up in triage today with changed movements - had a trace and all fine and Sod's law he has been booting me all afternoon after a couple of days of being quiet and faint! How are you getting on? Xx

Skl2021 · 10/07/2022 18:03

@Bridgey8 my right side under my rib absolutely kills me at times 🤦 feels like something is wedged there. Yes I can't stand the heat and it's meant to get hotter 😣 I have 2 hospital appointments this week and I'm dreading going as I know it's always roasting in there as it is! Haha that trick sounds handy 🙌 glad everything was ok at triage they do like to keep us on our toes! I still don't seem to follow a pattern tho and like u say some days the movements are lighter which does worry me. Xx

Bridgey8 · 10/07/2022 18:07

Ha I know! The midwife was so nice and said she would rather see me to reassure than not but they find that weeks 28-32 they are still establishing their pattern so as long as they are moving all should be fine. From 32 if he doesn't kick when he normally does (eg at night or in morn) to ring and come in! But can still come in anytime I'm worried which is nice. Yeh I've got midwife this week... and still not bought a thing! Need to get on it I think 😱😱

Skl2021 · 10/07/2022 18:18

@Bridgey8 oh that's ok then still got a few weeks for a pattern! Yes I have midwife and diabetes test which I'm not looking forward too! Haha I'm exactly the same I have nothing but a few clothes! 🤦 I keep looking at prams but I just can't commit to one!! Keep fighting with my head and my heart over how much I want to spend on one! But basically we still need everything and I should also start! X

barneymcgroo · 10/07/2022 11:30

@Raindrops2015 how are you doing today? Hope all back to normal. X

I have had lots of movement today. I think on holiday my routine has changed and maybe my blood sugars and times of day. Baby is kicking like mad atm thankfully. I've been drinking ice water all night :)

@Annny27 thank you for your response. You're the same dates as myself. I started feeling movement at 17 weeks and regular nightly routine of kicking a few weeks ago.

arianasky · 11/07/2022 09:23

@Skl2021 also finding I'm so hot and bothered I'm a sun worshipper normally and I've barely been in it, I'm secretly hoping for cooler days 😂 also dreading the hospital it's boiling in mine aswell 🤢 I have four appointments this week aswell 😭 my 20w scan today which I'm nervous about although baby is so active which is reassuring, midwife tomorrow, whooping cough Wednesday and epilepsy consultant tHursday praying there's fans there 😂

Is anyone else really gassy? There's no way I can determine between baby movement and had bubbles at the moment. I was joking to my partner last night we are going to have to find a sleep smoother machine that mimics a gurgly tummy and purring cat as the cats constantly sit on bump too 😂

flowergarden16 · 11/07/2022 10:18

@siobhanmt247 yes! And have bad reflux still.

I expect it's a combo! When I had my scan and could see the baby moving I could see how it lined up with the feeling of bubbles but don't know how is spot the difference otherwise. It will become more pronounced... x

flowergarden16 · 11/07/2022 10:19

Good luck today @arianasky x

Srx1 · 11/07/2022 10:31

@siobhanmt247 @flowergarden16 I couldn't tell if it is the baby or not and then about 10days ago I just started distinguishing for sure, I guess it was more obvious. And then the other day I started feeling stronger pulsing kicking in weird places, also very low in the pelvic area. And also managed to feel it with my hand on my tummy and take a video of my tummy twitching around the belly button 😄 he's all over the place! Some days I feel lots of movement and others less..
Good luck @arianasky!

siobhanmt247 · 11/07/2022 10:42

@Srx1 can't wait to get to that stage. I heard the heartbeat on Friday so I'm not too worried yet

Srx1 · 11/07/2022 10:48

@siobhanmt247 I understand , I worry all the time nevertheless- especially on days that I'm not feeling much .. always something! I'm sure you will be able to tell for sure soon ☺️

arianasky · 11/07/2022 12:35

Thank you all, scan went well all is fine and definitely a boy only issue was he was lying on his stomach so they couldn't measure the heart so I've got to go back in 10 days, all was fine she said nothing to worry about and heart was beating away, has anyone else had to go back at all?
