Hi all, looks like we'll be filling up today or tomorrow. I wanted to create the thread early so we can have a link to the new one. Have a nice weekend!

@Sdoubleyou thank you so much for this! I’m trying to think nature will do what it will and they should move down but if I can help with some positions I will- this is great thank you!

TheOnlyException1 · 23/10/2022 08:10

34 weeks today! Could I just ask, how easy to you all find it to determine where baby's head is? There are so many lumps and bumps and hard bits, I can't work out his position! He was apparently head down at 28 and 32 week check ups, but still moving around a lot!
I'm a bit anxious about it, since I won't see the midwife again until 36 weeks, but I do feel very clear hiccups from him at the bottom of my bump (usually to the left side) and majority of the strong movements are at the top, often into my right ribs and side, which I'm guessing is kicks/knees?

@Tofu35 Yes! I've got wedged a few times trying to squeeze through spaces, forgetting that you can't just suck the tummy in. 😂 I've also walked into a few door handles/cupboard corners, and had to apologise to bump.. they're just at the wrong height!

Tofu35 · 23/10/2022 08:52

I knew this group was the right place to confess my random attempts to squeeze past things and be generally clumsy @Mommabear20 @TheOnlyException1. Have definitely given the bump a wee rub after I've walked into something - but maybe a verbal apology is the way forward 😅

Nutella99 · 23/10/2022 15:19

@TheOnlyException1 That sounds like the exact position mine is in! Or at least he was the last couple of midwife appointments. I can feel lumps and bumps but no idea what anything is. But I always feel hiccups right down to the bottom left, and most movements are to the right of my bump. So I'm assuming he's in the same position that he was at the midwife appointments.

Also glad I'm not the only clumsy one. It's mainly when I open doors or cupboards and forget that my bump is out further than the rest of me!

Sdoubleyou · 23/10/2022 17:17

Our babies seem to be in the same position! I feel hiccups bottom left as well, and what I think are little feet top right. 💙🥰👣

My baby seems to be in the same position as all of you too! Must be a comfy position 😂
I do feel sorry for him standing on his head for weeks!

Mommabear20 · 24/10/2022 14:28

Had my 34 week appointment today! She said everything seemed good 😊
Bump is still measuring 2 weeks ahead! She didn't seem concerned, but as someone with a very small frame, I'm a little bit worried about size of baby!

Nutella99 · 24/10/2022 14:48

Sometimes I feel like I've been pregnant forever. And now there will have been 3 (at least!?) prime ministers during my pregnancy which makes it feel even longer 😂

SunRainbow22 · 24/10/2022 21:18

I’m also a teacher due 4th December! My last day before maternity leave is 18th Nov. Counting down the weeks now!

Ah don't worry too much. My bump was massive with DS he was only 7lb 2oz. I had A LOT of waters!

I think Twin 1 has gone back to head down as feeling their kicks by my ribs but I think Twin 2 is still laying across 🤣.

Sdoubleyou · 24/10/2022 22:53

@Nutella99 lol that's really funny!!

Hi are you having a vaginal birth or Csection. Thanks

HayleyBean · 26/10/2022 07:36

How is everyone doing? Baby is definitely getting stronger as the kicks bloody hurt 😂 I'm on annual leave this week so we're decorating the nursery - the house is a crap hole as there's just baby bits shoved everywhere. Can't wait until it's all in its place! I do realise this will go to pot once baby is here and makes me feel a tad worried as I like a tidy and organised house

lifechanginglemoncake · 26/10/2022 08:29

Not too bad here @HayleyBean

We had a week off a couple of weeks ago to get our nursery done and it's finally pretty much finished. I still have lots of organising to do and washing clothes etc but plan to start that when I finish work at the end of next week.

I've got a placenta scan today. Hoping it's moved out the way of the cervix but they couldn't tell at the 32 week scan as baby's head was in the way. Not looking forward to an internal scan as I've not had one before but hopefully all will be good.

Chanel05 · 26/10/2022 09:10

@HayleyBean how many weeks are you now? Hope you're enjoying some annual leave rest too! I feel your pain though. My toddler has currently thrown half her toys around the front room already so far today. Trick is to be out as much as possible 😂.

Mommabear20 · 26/10/2022 11:55

We've just got the car seat and next to me crib to get set up and then we're ready for baby!

I'm definitely feeling slightly abused by baby kicks now 😂 @HayleyBean this one, unlike my other two, isn't kicking me in the ribs (yet) but kicks and rolls on both sides of bump, sometimes feels like she's physically trying to kick her way out! 😣

Orcarain · 26/10/2022 13:57

Hi @HayleyBean - we move house on Friday! That defo was the best idea to buy a house and move at 32 weeks... not hahah!

I'm currently struggling with my DP. I obvs can't help with any of the heavy lifting - and he is adamant he is doing it all himself. Point blank refusing any help from my parents, or his siblings who live in the same town we're moving to! Very much a pride thing, but I feel like telling him to get over himself!

Mommabear20 · 26/10/2022 14:03

@Orcarain I can sympathise with the stubborn DP thing! I have days were I get loads done and others were I can barely stand, and he takes those days and tries to do all the jobs I should have got done plus a million more, and then he's knackered and feeling sorry for himself 🤷‍♀️ MEN!
I hope you can get your new home in order before baby arrives without overdoing it yourself! My only advice would be to prioritise what you NEED unpacked and what you can do without, and just do the latter if you have time and energy. Take it easy! 🥰

Orcarain · 26/10/2022 14:12

Thanks @Mommabear20 - I'm 100% going through my nesting phase - I cannot leave a dirty plate - has to be cleaned immediately! So it's killing me that I won't be able to lift boxes into the loft haha. All of my "normal" clothes are all packed away to be put up there. Who knows if I'll ever see them again 😂

Mommabear20 · 26/10/2022 14:18

@Orcarain haha 😂 bless you! You sound like me! When we moved I had the whole house unpacked by the time DH got home from work the next day! (Pre-pregnancy!) and now I'm sat cursing the fact I can't get the Christmas decorations out of the garage by myself! 😂

Jaaxe · 26/10/2022 17:37

Had my 31 week growth scan today….baby has dropped to between 3rd and 10th centile 😥 got to have scans and consultant review 2 weekly now, today has been a long day….anyone else mind sharing their babies scan weight at 31weeks? It doesn’t feel small when it moves xx

Loute02 · 26/10/2022 19:07

@Jaaxe sending you positive thoughts! Heard that scans and measurements are not always accurate! It is good that they'll keep an eye more regularly on baby. Hope it will be fine in 2 weeks.
My latest scan was at 30 weeks and he was around 1.4kg.
Definitely feeling him getting stronger and stronger when he kicks... also getting some troubles sleeping lately and being wide awake for a couple of hours :/
Only 25 more working days 😅

Mommabear20 · 26/10/2022 19:37

@Jaaxe is better that they've spotted it and are keeping a check on it. My DD was induced at 39 weeks due to measuring small, she was born at 6lbs, not sure what she would have been at 31 weeks though.

ElephantGrey101 · 26/10/2022 20:21

My little one was estimated at 2lb 9oz at last growth scan (28 weeks) which is bang on average for my personalised growth chart. I will have my 32 week one on Monday so will let you know how big she is then. I think that because babies are so small there is quite a big margin or error.
