Hi all, looks like we'll be filling up today or tomorrow. I wanted to create the thread early so we can have a link to the new one. Have a nice weekend!

I need growth scans too as I'm slightly higher risk for pre-eclampsia (I don't have it - it just could be something I could develop, though it's unlikely. My baby measured 2lb 4oz at 28 weeks the other day, which is also apparently normal.

Mommabear20 · 02/10/2022 18:12

Had an trip to triage today for reduced movements, typically she started wiggling around the minute the midwife started the trace on her heart 😂

Laughingmole · 02/10/2022 18:18

There’s such a big range in their weights already! My scan was at 30+5 where he weighed 4lb 1, so if you are going for 28 week scans, don’t be worried if your baby weighs less xx

chardaboo · 03/10/2022 09:23

I went for a private scan on my birthday for a treat and I'm 27 weeks and she is weighing 2lbs 2 @Chanel05 yeah sounds normal 😊

Mommabear20 · 03/10/2022 20:36

Has anyone else still got very sore and sensitive boobs? I never really got that symptom in the first trimester, but for the last week they've been so sore! I've had to swap from a bra to a loose sports bra but even that is only when I'm or have visitors! Never had this with either of my other 2!

Adenike85 · 04/10/2022 14:46

I’m looking into antenatal classes, hospital in my area paused all during covid, wondered if anyone had any past experience and recommendations? Thanks

Sdoubleyou · 04/10/2022 17:37

Oh my gosh, 30 weeks today! Can't believe it! Like my DP says, we're in the fourth quarter 🥰

We're 30 weeks today too! Seems so crazy to think how soon they will be here...I've pretty much got everything ready too - most of the hospital case is packed and his car seat and pram are all set up so just got the next 2 me to put in our room but leaving that until the very end so the cats don't try and claim it first😂

Bluebonnet3 · 04/10/2022 22:07

@Adenike85 my hospital only offers online antenatal classes, but I've had several people recommended NCT classes. Not just for the info, but apparently they are a great way to meet other pregnant couples in your area with similar due dates, who might stay friends after. I've booked mine for November.

Mommabear20 · 05/10/2022 07:23

31 weeks today! 🙌🙌
So strange to think that if this one follows her brother and sisters lead, she'll be here in less than 8 weeks! 🥰
Attempting to make this week my 'get all the final bits sorted' week 😂 have just realised this morning that all her clothes and bottles are ready but she has no where to sleep yet 😂

Sdoubleyou · 05/10/2022 13:21

I definitely don't have everything ready. But we're doing that next week. It's our baby shower this Sunday and I took the week off to deep dive into nesting. Can't wait! I've been really distracted at work, I just want to set up baby things.

@Adenike85 I did NCT with my first and we are all still friends. One in particular I'm very close with and we meet up weekly. My NCT was in lockdown times so we had to do it on zoom, which was a bit odd. Luckily, we were able to meet up after the babies were born and had many days of baby groups and all day hangouts ordering Domino's at someone's house. Of the four of us, three of us are pregnant again.

Mommabear20 · 05/10/2022 14:26

@Adenike85 I never did any as my first was during the worst of covid so they were all cancelled and seemed pointless after the first 😂 would have liked to give them a go though!

Jaaxe · 05/10/2022 18:22

28 weeks for me today! Had my 28 week growth scan today and all good, baby is measuring 2 and a half pounds already which apparently is normal….saw my consultant and she went ahead and gave me a date for my elective csection too, having the date has made it feel more exciting but also like I need to get a move on with my organisation! X

Jaaxe · 05/10/2022 18:23

I did antenatal with my first it was alright, never bothered after the 1st one though x

Mommabear20 · 05/10/2022 20:16

@Jaaxe ah how exciting that you know your baby's birthday already!

MissC07 · 05/10/2022 21:07

I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and literally have nothing ready 🙈 Starting to panic now about what I need to do. We start NCT in a couple of weeks so hopefully that'll help too!

Appleplumcrumble · 06/10/2022 14:07

Had my 28 week appointment today, I'm measuring small and have been referred for a growth scan. I'm not too concerned because my previous babies were small and have been healthy, but this one is obviously even smaller than they were. My midwife wants me to eat more but I've been diagnosed with gallstones and have to limit my fat intake and meal sizes to control the gallbladder attacks, so theres not really much more I can do! I'm feeling really drained, not sure if it's just the normal pregnancy fatigue or more to it, but if it's iron then I guess it'll get flagged following todays blood test... roll on December!

Nellynoo182 · 06/10/2022 15:56

@Mommabear20 omg yes ME! My boobs are so sore I could cry. Also ordered some very soft and large sports bras. No idea why they are so sore but the only thing that seems to help for me is sitting in a nice warm bath. I’m 32 weeks on Saturday. Hope they ease for your soon! Joys of pregnancy!

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2022 17:08

@Nellynoo182 ahhh it's awful isn't it???

Is anyone else finding some of baby's movements are quite painful now? Little miss has developed a love of sticking a foot or a hand right against my belly, feels like she's trying to push her way out! 😣🤦‍♀️

Nursemumma92 · 07/10/2022 17:57

Hey everyone,
I've been one of those people lurking on the thread for a while 🤦‍♀️ I'm 28+4 today and saw midwife for 28 week appt on Tuesday. She said she thinks I have too much amniotic fluid- Polyhydramnios, but is just going to leave it and has brought my next appt to 32 weeks to reevaluate then. Just wondered if anyone else has any experience of this either in this pregnancy or previous? I'm not sure if it's something I should be worried about, I know what it is and it does take you out of being in a low risk pregnancy category. Just really hoped to birth in a midwife led unit and if they diagnose me with this next time I go I know I won't be able to labour there. I've felt a lot more anxious this time round and finally got the better of it, only to be told this and I'm fairly sure I'm getting myself wound up unnecessarily!

happyfishcoco · 07/10/2022 20:10

Placemarking.

Sdoubleyou · 07/10/2022 22:15

@Mommabear20, mine has been doing that a lot too. He especially likes kicking or running his foot on my far right side. Very peculiar and uncomfortable. One of my colleagues said it can sometimes be almost like a bruise if it's quite hard. Pleasant indeed! Although I'm all honesty, even when the movements are really uncomfortable I'm so grateful for them. I'm hoping this doesn't mean I'm gonna be a terrible disciplinarians because the way it's going I'm gonna let this kid do whatever he wants just cause I'm so happy he's alive! Will have to work on this 😆

@Sdoubleyou I'm the same! DH keeps 'telling her off' for hurting me but I'm just like, it's okay! It means she's okay! 😂
And trust me when they get to about 2 years old and learn the words why and nope, the cuteness wears off somewhat! 😂

Mommabear20 · 10/10/2022 20:58

How is everyone doing this week?? I'm doing good apart from the sudden realisation that I'm 32 weeks this week and baby is now considered 'viable' so birth could literally happen anytime between now and my due date and we haven't got the cot yet! 😣
I'm currently at panic writing a to do list for this week! 😂
