For me the positive test feels years away. I called my local hospital birth center and they said to come in and checked heartbeat straight away. Said, if same thing happens Tomorrow, call again. I'm grateful. After 25 weeks though I'd have to go to the main hospital, with the Labour for anything and that's half an hours drive.

@NotAdultingToday I didn't feel any movements until I had a lay down, then I felt a few recently.

NotAdultingToday · 27/06/2022 17:01

@Bramblecrumble21 ah i see, at least you felt something lying down. Did you say you have an anterior placenta?

OP posts:
Bramblecrumble21 · 27/06/2022 18:58

no it's posterior, so I couldn't put it down to that. Earlier in the day and yesterday I got nothing lying down but it's still early days for feeling movements.

Anna783426 · 27/06/2022 19:31

I've been lurking for a while but had my 20 week scan today and thought it's time to face reality! This is our second baby, our little girl is two and a half now.

They couldn't get a good enough view of the heart today so will need to go back again next week. Hope everyone's ok and enjoying this bit, can't believe we're half way there already!

rickandmorts · 27/06/2022 19:47

Thanks for adding my dates in. Today has been emotional, my horse had a foal (I was so worried about the birth but all fine) and my dog hurt her tail so took her to the vets tonight and she has to go in for surgery tomorrow and have it amputated. Not sure if it's pregnancy hormones but I keep looking at her beautiful long tail and bursting into tears, my poor girl 😢😢. But yeah all fine on the pregnancy front 🙈

Ccatalina · 27/06/2022 19:57

Hi all,
a bit late to the party! Im also due on the 18th of November ☺️
Gender scan is a week today and im SO excited!!
This is my first pregnancy and I am still utterly in the dark about feeling the baby move. My stomach makes so many gurgles and movements im having trouble trying to decide if its the baby or my dinner. Did anyone else find this with their pregnancy?
xx

Beanniebaby22 · 27/06/2022 20:13

@NotAdultingToday It went well thanks! Everything looks good but baby was in an awkward position so have to go back for another scan in 2 weeks to get a better look at a few things. And it is a boy 💙😮 I was totally convinced it was going to be a girl lol.
@Ccatalina I think I’ve been feeling movements for a week or so now (currently 19+3) but sometimes I’m not sure. It feels like someone running their finger along the inside of my abdomen below the belly button lol. Really weird sensation. Can only feel it when I lie still and wait for it. Don’t notice it when I’m busy.

Ccatalina · 27/06/2022 20:48

@Beanniebaby22
How sweet!! Ive had little like.. tapping for want of a better word, although as I said before im unsure if its indigestion! However Im definitely on the larger side of life and at 19+ 3 weeks I resemble a house! I've read that can sometimes interfere with feeling movement.
Have you found out the sex of your baby or is it a surprise?
X

Beanniebaby22 · 27/06/2022 20:50

@Ccatalina yes found out today it’s a boy! Aww I wish I had a bump just feel fat at the moment lol.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 28/06/2022 04:15

Hope your scan goes well on friday @NotAdultingToday ! Yes, 4 boys! They are really wonderful honestly, I was already pretty sure it was another boy. Dh and I laughed and laughed when the tech confirmed the sex for us 😄 Our only dd is 17 next week 😳 We live on a big plot of land in the country, perfect for lots of boys!

@Ccatalina yes I felt like that right up through 19 weeks, once the movements get stronger it's easier to realise that actually those little weird things are bubs flipping and rolling and stretching 😄 it's definitely weird.

Congrats on your boy @Beanniebaby22 💙💙💙💙💙

ALittleBitofVitriol · 28/06/2022 04:22

Congrats @Anna783426 and welcome! Hope the rest of the scan goes well! They can be difficult, our ultrasound technician did a great job chasing this little one around 😆 I'm actually a bit sore from all the pressing.

Aww @rickandmorts, those are both some big emotional things to deal with! Hope your pup's surgery goes as well as can be.

Cocobeau · 28/06/2022 10:19

Hi Everyone! I've been away a lot recently so just catching up on all the posts. Congrats to all the new ladies, especially those who share my due date, which seems weirdly high! So many of us on 18th November! Can't wait to see what dates all these babies actually enter the world.

I'm having my anomaly scan on Friday which is also exactly 20 weeks and so exited to see how baby is doing and hopefully get a sex. I've got a strong feeling it's a boy but no idea why.

My bump has finally popped out and now much more of an obvious bump, rather than just podge. Lol. Although it does seem like it's quite big from quite high up. Makes me a little scared that I'm going to get huge. Definitely not one of these "neat little bump" ladies. I've had a few feelings that I think have been movements but still nothing I can say with certainty.

I agree that time does seem to have flown by since getting + test at 4 weeks and feeling like everything seemed so far away. Bit scary how quickly it's going actually. To be honest it still feels odd to think I'm even having a baby half the time. 😂Hope you're all feeling good!

FishyBaby · 28/06/2022 17:58

@Beanniebaby22 @Ccatalina welcome to the 18th club (I feel like we might need to start one given how many of us there are!)

@Cocobeau I understand you on the bump side of things. Only about two weeks ago did I cave and get a maternity bundle so I had some shorts for the baking weather we had. Then at pretty much the 19 week mark my bump definitely turned from flab into bump shape, just nothing like my friend when she was at the same stage as me. It seems massive, no neat little bump for me either!

Bramblecrumble21 · 29/06/2022 18:22

I can recommend a free online course I'm doing called journey to birth on the website future learn. It's written by midwives in Ireland.

Beanniebaby22 · 29/06/2022 18:26

@Cocobeau @FishyBaby I am plus size and still waiting for my usual belly flab to turn into a noticeable bump lol.

@Bramblecrumble21 Oh I might look into that. Had looked at the NCT course but it’s so expensive and have heard mixed reviews so not sure I want to risk wasting the money!

Feb85 · 29/06/2022 18:43

Thank you for that @Bramblecrumble21 I had a look at the online course and that looks really helpful & interesting

NotAdultingToday · 29/06/2022 19:37

Hey everyone i hope your all ok? I have been really struggling with tiredness the last couple of days im just tired all the time!
And yesterday i felt so ragey i wanted to kill everyone it was like being on my period!

@Beanniebaby22 thats good and congrats on the boy! 😂

I feel like a fat whale as im plus size too though slowly the podge is going hard so the bump is making progress 😂

@ALittleBitofVitriol thanks 😊 that sounds amazing. If i had money and husband was on board i would love a huge bit of land and 4 or 5 kids

@Anna783426 welcome 😊

@rickandmorts how are things now?

Ooo @Cocobeau i know we are the same date but its cool we are having a scan on the same day!
I agree even though this is my second it feels just as surreal as with my first like its not really happening!

I have been in maternity clothes for a while now because everything was already on the tight side so i didnt have much leeway 😂 my work uniform is super comfy now though!

Thanks @Bramblecrumble21 im going to have a look too, i feel like i have forgotten everything about babies and am starting from scratch!

ALittleBitofVitriol · 30/06/2022 01:21

@NotAdultingToday I may have had a similar moment yesterday that I'm not proud of... 😳 felt tired, bump sore and hard, emotional (especially about my biggest kids getting too big), and then they all pushed my buttons too far! I fixed it with a good cry and home-made pizza for dinner 😄
Dh would have 20 kids if it was up to him, and we had money 😆
I have a telehealth midwife appointment today so that's going to be interesting. Saves me a drive into town.

Dontbeaneejit · 30/06/2022 10:34

The last couple of days I've been really struggling with how itchy I am. It's all over and really irritating. Anyone know if I can take an antihistamine or has anyone else has similar and tried anything else? Day three now and it's driving me mad. Covered in scratches I look like I've been mauled by a bear!

sarahj878 · 30/06/2022 12:48

@Dontbeaneejit i don’t wish to worry you as it’s very rare but please call midwife or dr as sometimes (very rare this early tho) it can be obstetric cholestasis so they’ll probably want to do a blood test. I’ve been really itchy and dr prescribed an antihistamine and a cream for me x

Cocobeau · 30/06/2022 15:03

@NotAdultingToday aahhh it's so exciting! I'm literally counting down the hours now. Hope everything goes great for yours and you feel a bit less like killing someone today 😊

Beanniebaby22 · 01/07/2022 00:12

@NotAdultingToday @Cocobeau @FishyBaby @Bubbano2 @WandaVon @Ccatalina Happy halfway point to my 18th Nov Due Date buddies! 😄 20 weeks today ❤️
