I have my 20 week scan next Thursday morning. I am so anxious about it, more so than the 12 week. Praying our little bean is ok in there.

Morning all! 20 week scan this morning. Feeling a bit nervous!!

Is anyone struggling with pain in bed already? I'm 20+4 and the last 2 nights I have woken up in so much pain 😭

@Beanniebaby22 does little happy dance I actually couldn't sleep properly last night because I'm so excited for my scan today. Yay to us all for reaching the halfway point!

@Beanniebaby22 Happy Halfway - I don't have my 20 week scan until next Wednesday so counting down the days!

@roobearbaby All the best for your scan! Yes I started to get uncomfortable around 18 weeks. Do you have one of those pregnancy pillows for bed? Mine has really helped.

@Cocobeau Hope your scan goes well today 😊 can’t believe we’re at the halfway point it seemed to drag forever in those first few weeks when I wasn’t telling anyone lol.

Scan went really well. Healthy baby who is growing perfectly...and it's a boy 💙👣

Hello, a leg cramp woke me up at 5am this morning. Wriggled my feet as it woke me then it got worse shouted ow ow ow and sat up putting my foot on the floor to ease it. It was in my calf and when I got up at 6 I couldn't put my foot flat, had to slowly stretch it and it still feels a bit tender walking. Today I put it down to bring a bit dehydrated. I remember regular leg cramps last pregnancy. Mostly in my calf and foot but worse in my thigh once or twice. I was then diagnosed anemic and the prescribed iron tablets helped. This time I'm taking some iron, but not daily, as it's not very digestible.

@Bramblecrumble21 leg and foot cramps are awful 😣 I would have got them pre-pregnancy but they are definitely worse now! I find it happens if my legs/feet get cold when I’m asleep, which is tricky to manage as I get so warm at night and tend to stick my leg out from under the sheet. You can’t win 😅 lol.

My scan went well, and another healthy baby boy coming from over here too. I cried so much.
I did discover I have an anterior placenta too, although I kind of suspected that so still have the proper feeling of movement to look forward to.

So many boys, everyone I know is having/just had a boy. Where the girls at!

My scan isn’t until next Thursday but keeping it a surprise 🤞🏻

Hey everyone my 20 week scan went well today, turns out no2 is a stubborn as his brother and i had to wiggle and walk around. But most was good.
They did say there was low blood flow (cant think of the proper term) through the placenta so puts baby at risk of being small and me of preeclampsia. I thought i understood it but thinking back im a bit confused.
Apparently because its a new test i may well have had it with ds1 but wasnt picked up.
It did put a little kink in my day as i was straight away blaming myself and wondering if it was my fault because im bigger and not fit or just my body messing up again.
So i am having to take aspirin and having extra scans so at least i get to see him in there a few more times.

@ALittleBitofVitriol oh bless you! These pesky hormones. To be fair i feel the same about ds1 and hes 4 i cant imagine what its like when they are older. Though my birthday last week my dad had to check my age because he didnt believe he had a 33 year old 😂

No pain at night apart from odd twinges here and there oh and being kicked out MY bed by ds1 because im taking up too much space!! So i just go and sleep on the sofa (its a very very comfy big sofa!)

@TFMinx yey a girl 😂 awww that is so cute! My ds sometimes talks to the baby i cant wait for the big movements so he can feel him!

Halfway and not felt anything ☹️ anyone else in my shoes??

Hi notadultingtoday. I had the same with placenta blood flow or pressure and the test being new so wasn't done for my first. So I've got another scan in August. My DD was a fast grower inside me so sonographer seemed to think this one will grow fine, and it definitely feels like it. She explained it's a way of screening a group of women for who a third trimester scan would be the most useful.

@tigger2022 I hadn't felt a thing until yesterday at 21+2, try not to worry, it might just be your placenta at the front.

Anyone else’s sex drive gone through the roof recently? I can’t keep my hands off my OH, he’s loving it. I keep having very vivid sex dreams too. 1st trimester I didn’t want him anywhere near me!

Yes this happened to me! Likewise I had a very happy DH haha. It's easing off a little bit now but we're still managing 3/4 times a week! I've told him to enjoy it while he can because I remember the last trimester. And postnatal I could not be touched for months!

@NotAdultingToday the itching seems to have eased off yesterday and today thankfully. I was going to wait to speak to my midwife but I feel fine again. Had a hot bath and smothered myself in moisturiser and all seems settled

Awww thanks Bramble that reassures me! I guess its good they have these extra test and whatnot just really worried me.

Tigger i havent really felt anything yet and i def didnt feel anything with ds until 23/24 weeks so im not concerned.
Plus i saw how chilled out he was on the scan yesterday that child did not want to move from his comfy position!

Haha not through the roof but a bit more back to normal since i stopped feel sick all the time.

@Dontbeaneejit thats good at least its gone away. Hopefully it was just something random that wont happen again

Anyone else having horrendous heartburn? 🥵 I feel like I’m spending a fortune on gaviscon.
