Hi all! Had a BFP yesterday at 11dpo after a squinter at 9dpo so thought I'd start this thread for everyone just getting bfps around now and due later in Feb/ early March!

I'm hopeful but a bit nervous after two chemicals this year. Hoping this bean sticks! Feeling positive about it so far... This will be our second baby, have a 21mo DD already 🥰

All welcome!

Hey, thanks for setting up. First BFP yesterday, much clearer today so feeling like it's more real.
My DD is 22 months so very similar @Skylark1990 🤞!

MooBugz · 11/06/2022 10:58

Hello again!

My youngest will be 2 in August so looking forward to watching how she handles not being star of the show anymore haha.

Feeling cramps today I forgot what's normal almost now that I feel every small twinge

Hopefulprincess · 11/06/2022 11:12

Hello all 👋

MrsD2021 · 11/06/2022 16:08

I got a BFP this morning at 8DPO so I’m cautiously joining this thread with fingers crossed everything goes smoothly. DS is 13 months…this was our first cycle trying for #2 so we didn’t expect it to happen this quickly!
I know when I ovulated so I’ve calculated our due date as 24th February 2023

Skylark1990 · 11/06/2022 17:59

Welcome guys! Fingers crossed all our pregnancies keep progressing nicely 🥰 I've also had some cramps today @MooBugz that's normal right? Haha I think I remember from my DD that I had on off cramps for about a week or so after the first bfp. How is everyone feeling?

@Bella9992 yes our babies are very similar ages! Seems also @MooBugz is similar. Both yours must be August babies? Mine was born in September 2020. Can't believe she is nearly two!

@MrsD2021 that's amazing it's happened first try 🥰

@Hopefulprincess hello!

We had BBQ today and as I was pouring someone out a Heineken I had such a weird craving for one! I never normally drink beer. So I went to the offy and bought a non alcoholic one 🤣🤣 so sunny today so maybe that's why or maybe it's my first craving 😂

Hi Everyone,

So, I got my BFP this evening at 9DPO. I know it is still early but hoping I can stick around.

Still waiting for baby #1 - we had a MMC at the end of March so I am hoping this time round is the right time.

Congratulations on all your BFPs x

MooBugz · 11/06/2022 21:27

@Skylark1990 that's cool if your getting cravings already! I can't stop j oh ver analysing every symptom right now I wish I could fast forward to feeling a bit normal and able to enjoy the pregnancy 😩

@RedElleJ congrats on your pregnancy we're all in this together we got you ❤️

Skylark1990 · 12/06/2022 06:58

I know exactly how you feel @MooBugz , I'm the same, easy to worry about the pregnancy, and if I'm not worrying about it I'm finding I worry about other random and stupid stuff - I'm prone to this with PMS anyway so probably worse with pregnancy hormones too!

Just did another FRER at 13dpo and line is nice and dark, feeling even more real now ☺️

Congratulations everyone! I am about 14 dpo. I got my bfp at 10po so it’s just about sinking in. I’ve done lots of tests as it doesn’t seem real but here was my test from a couple of days ago at 12dpo. It’s our first and took us about 4 tries. Hoping it’s a sticky bean :)

RedElleJ · 12/06/2022 07:33

Congratulations @Skylark1990 and @Bluepiano 💕We got this! x

workinone · 12/06/2022 07:35

Hello! I'm 12 dpo and had my bfp yesterday. Know nothing is a sure bet but this is the first time I've ever had a positive pregnancy test! We've been ttc no1 for 7 months 🤞

MooBugz · 12/06/2022 10:19

Awww @Skylark1990 I do like a line progression! I'm not planning on doing anymore tests now I'm trying to relax with it but then I do have one FRER left looking at me lol.

@workinone congrats 🥳 exciting but nervous at the same time I know the feeling but 🤞🏼 a positive is a positive

Bella9992 · 12/06/2022 13:03

Congratulations everyone! How are you all feeling?
I've been a bit nauseous every morning for the past week and suddenly a wave of tiredness has hit me this afternoon!
I'd like to say I won't do anymore tests but I know that not true! I'm trying to stay positive.

MooBugz · 12/06/2022 14:29

I've definitely been hit with the tiredness I was ready for bed at 9 last night but stopped myself as I'm trying to fight the age 🤣 I just want to fast forward to august 3rd when my scan is booked for!

How about you?

RedElleJ · 12/06/2022 14:58

Hi @workinone Congrats on your BFP :) x

I am feeling good today. I was pretty asymptomatic with my previous pregnancy which I know I should count as a blessing but it makes me paranoid that my body isn't doing what it is supposed to do.

According to my natural cycles app I am only 3+3 so I don't think I will be getting any symptoms, if I get any at all, anytime soon.

Bluepiano · 12/06/2022 15:05

Definitely tired. I’ve slept a lot this weekend. The occasional cramping too but I’ve read that’s the embryo burrowing in so I’m trying not to worry about it too much!

MrsD2021 · 12/06/2022 15:17

I’m so tired too! I’ve had daytime naps for the last few days which is so unlike me. Definitely my biggest symptom that made me more hopeful I would get a BFP.

I tested again this morning and the lines were ever so slightly lighter than yesterday but not too light that I think it’s cause for concern at the moment. I’ll test again tomorrow to compare

Bella9992 · 12/06/2022 20:59

Oh wow @MooBugz have you already got the dating scan booked?

I got symptoms very early with my two previous pregnancies (MC and 1DD), felt v nauseous, sore boobs and tiredness before I got a positive test. I'm definitely not feeling so bad this time. No sore boobs at all, although what's weird is I used to suffer so badly with sore boobs every period and did my whole pregnancy. Since I've had my DD I've never once had sore boobs during my period, so guess it's not so surprising its not a first symptom this time!

MooBugz · 13/06/2022 02:04

Yeah @Bella9992 booking appointment on 13th July then scan on 3rd august! We have to call up after a positive test and those two appointments are booked in, when do you get yours?

I haven't had sore boobs at all and normally it takes me a while to get them during pregnancy. The tiredness has kicked in this week but usually I get nausea and morning sickness too which I'm just waiting on but going to embrace it all and not complain this time!!

Skylark1990 · 13/06/2022 10:05

Hi everyone, how are we feeling today? 14dpo here and feeling tired!! I need to go to bed at like 9pm I think as I seem to be waking early now, often earlier than my 21mo!! Have had a bit of dull aching / cramping still but it's died off since about 12 dpo mostly. Might come back I guess! Also feel weirdly like more sensitive/ up for DTD than usual? Anyone else? Haha sorry if tmi. I guess it's all the blood flow to that area ... Am Still Breastfeeding and it's super sensitive & sore on my nips now when she latches on but the pain passes after a min or two mostly so that's good. I am only feeding her about 3 times a day now so think I'll carry on for a bit longer although I know the milk might start to dry up around 3/4 mo in.

Hi Everyone! I got my positive on Saturday - think about 15 dpo. It was a complete surprise so i'm stunned but hoping to join a friendly group to talk about it all!

We have one little boy who is 2 and i think this one will be due end of February. I'm struggling to get my head around it a bit! Feeling much more sick than last time :(

RedElleJ · 13/06/2022 17:37

Hi @mumofbun Welcome...even if you weren't expecting to be here! Hope you are okay?

@Skylark1990 not great about the pain but definitely a good thing that it passes after a short time. I am always an in bed at 9/10pm and up at 5/6am kinda person but I did need a nap yesterday which although isn't rare, doesn't happen often. Been a bit more thirsty too but it is getting warmer so that could be a factor too. My husband is away this week so I am sure I will be feeling the same way you are come the end of the week haha! x

MrsD2021 · 13/06/2022 19:34

I’ve felt so peaky today 🤢 wave of nausea this morning but only lasted a couple of minutes. I never really felt nauseous when I was pregnant with my son so this is new to me. I’m very lucky I didn’t really have any pregnancy symptoms last time other than acid reflux. Don’t think I’ll be so lucky this time!

I tested again this morning and the lines are definitely looking darker so it’s nice to see some progression.

Today I’ve been looking into booking an early scan at around 7 weeks. We went for a private scan when I was pregnant with DS and found it really reassuring. My local hospital will do a private early scan for £80 but it’s the same price as the private clinic we went to before which gave us much clearer pictures and a video so I’ll think we’ll book the clinic even though the hospital is walking distance.

Also been looking into going for a private NIPT test at around 12 weeks. My son’s femur length was measuring disproportionately during pregnancy so I spent most of the pregnancy worrying he would be born with a genetic condition (he was born healthy with no genetic issues thankfully). The fetal medicine team at the hospital weren’t concerned so they wouldn’t do any testing other than growth scans every two weeks, but I think I’d be much more reassured if we just get the private test done early. I know they aren’t 100% certainly but at least it would put my mind at rest a bit. Also a nice bonus is they can tell us the sex from the blood test. I would really really like a girl so would be nice to know early in case we want to buy some more clothes etc

MrsD2021 · 14/06/2022 05:59

I’ve just had time to catch up on all your posts. Congrats to@Bluepiano @Skylark1990 @workinone @mumofbun

@mumofbun hope you’re doing ok? Seems like you’re in a bit of shock! Feel free to talk it out with us friendly strangers on the internet 💕

@MooBugz exciting you have those appointments booked in already! Our hospital/GP doesn’t have anything to say when we should contact them. I know I have to self-refer to the hospital but my husband thinks it’s too early to contact them yet 🤷‍♀️ I remember having to phone my GP to get my 16 week community midwife appointment booked in. That was a bit of a shambles last time! They had just introduced ‘continuity of care’ where you’re supposed to see the same 2/3 midwives for every appointment and one of them comes to the hospital to deliver the baby. I never saw the same person twice apart from one girl who came to do a sweep. They were short staffed and changed me to a different team halfway through without telling me or the hospital. The midwife who came to the hospital to deliver the baby I’d never even met before as she was from the wrong team (but thankfully she was lovely and really good!). So this time I’m going to make sure I’m asking the right questions and making a note of everyone I speak to. My friend in a different part of town had an amazing experience with her midwife. She saw the same person the whole way through. The midwife even came to their house and sat with them while she was in labour and then followed them to the hospital to deliver the baby. Then when they got out of hospital the midwife went back to their house and spent 6 hours just helping them breastfeed and unpacking sterilisers etc/reading out the instructions to them! Of course I don’t expect that level of care 😂 but it would be nice to feel like I can contact my midwife with questions without having to google everything
