Hi all! Had a BFP yesterday at 11dpo after a squinter at 9dpo so thought I'd start this thread for everyone just getting bfps around now and due later in Feb/ early March!

I'm hopeful but a bit nervous after two chemicals this year. Hoping this bean sticks! Feeling positive about it so far... This will be our second baby, have a 21mo DD already 🥰

Lol @TeddyBeans it was my neighbour that actually recommended it and I remember thinking how odd but worth a try because the reflux was so bad it was making me feel sick but when I would have gaviscon it would make me feel sick so I thought let's try and it worked for me

@MooBugz I can always blame cravings if DP gives me the look 😁

Good morning everyone, I am happy to say there has been an increase in the line over 48 hours. Iv been testing now for 5 days, I really should just stop 🤣. My last pregnancy I wasn't 'trying' and just did one test when AF was late so I don't know why I am so much more nervous this time! I have said I won't buy any more tests when the last 3 are gone so I have to try stick with that. I havnt yet registered for Hospital or booked a scan yet either. Maybe after 6 weeks. I am just 4+4.

My funky pigeon card came today. DP's face was a picture 😁 he's very pleased and was surprised I managed to keep it a secret for 4 days!

Fair play for waiting a few days! I got my BFP on father's Day evening and ran down to tell him but he was doing the dishes. I waited just until he was done...didn't want to distract him! 🤣

Ah @TeddyBeans that card is so lovely! I got nursery to make a card 'from' our son with 'I'm going to be a big brother' on it as my way of telling DH - I know it sounds presumptuous as a message but we were so scared last time I wanted to just have fun this time, and hope for the best.

Re: symptoms, nausea has been hitting me hard the past couple days, I didn't remember it coming this early last time, and had forgotten how horrible it is! I had terrible reflux last time towards the end, ended up chugging the Gaviscon straight out the bottle. Oh, and my sense of smell is definitely stronger already, everything stinks! (Might just be the heat doing that though?!)

Hoping a healthy 9 months for us all.

We booked an early scan (8 weeks) today...it's only mid-July but feels incredibly long to wait for that assurance!

Thanks guys! I wasn’t going to bother with another test but done one just to see.

4+4 today and so relieved to see a much darker line than this time last week - been putting off testing again in case it wasn’t getting better.

Is anyone planning to book any extra screenings/NIPT?

I'm planning harmony or similar as I'm 39 and it gave me comfort last time when I was 3 years younger. I'm too paranoid not to I think!

@WonderWoop I’m thinking the same - it will play on my mind the whole time as I’ve previously lost a pregnancy to Edward’s. Hopefully it will bring peace of mind in a few weeks! Expensive but I think worth it.

@Twosidestwoplayers oh I'm sorry to hear this. Would say definitely worth the cost to reduce the worry given that. Also if you want to find out gender they can tell you that too as part of it.

I'm really riding the rollercoaster of early pregnancy this week. One minute I'm asking random ladies at the zoo about double buggies (inc. my toddler, not hoping for twins!!), the next I'm having nightmares about miscarrying and waking up panicking. Dammit brain!! Although a friend of mine has very kindly offered to pay for an early scan - think I'll definitely take her up on it since I clearly need the reassurance!

My mood is also very up and down @Hagster last night I had the strangest dream basically that I myself was going to die 😖 horrible! Anyway woke up and all ok 😂 I took a Digi today and it's saying 3+ and the other test which came in the pack has a nice solid line so feeling very reassured! 5+4 today.

I think I'm going to go to an early scan via doctor as he has referred me due to being anxious after previous early losses. I'm a bit nervous though! Think it'll be around 8 weeks so still 3 weeks away anyway.

How's everyone else going? My DP has covid and I think I may just be starting to have symptoms too... Really not what I want at all.. just hoping it doesn't get me too badly. Not many symptoms yet, just sore boobs esp when I feed DD and a bit of bloating / constipation...the joys.! 😂

@Hagster it’s just mad isn’t it, you’ve described it so well there! About four times a day at my desk I suddenly worry that I’m bleeding and run to check to then think phew, I’m still pregnant, and then I think well, maybe I am but who really knows, and then I’m thinking about where we put all the baby clothes and whether we can fit two car seats in our car and then it’s back to remembering I’m not even five weeks yet. It’s very intense and I haven’t told anyone IRL yet (apart from DH) so good to hear others are feeling the same!
