Hi all! Had a BFP yesterday at 11dpo after a squinter at 9dpo so thought I'd start this thread for everyone just getting bfps around now and due later in Feb/ early March!

I'm hopeful but a bit nervous after two chemicals this year. Hoping this bean sticks! Feeling positive about it so far... This will be our second baby, have a 21mo DD already 🥰

All welcome!

Can I join? Smile I found out 3 days ago and I'm due 27th February. I have a ds who is 19 months and I have been trying for 10 months with a mc in December. I found ttc all consuming and all I could think about and I thought when I conceived it would stop, how wrong was I?! It's still all I can think about and I'm so scared cause of my previous mc. I just can't wait for symptoms so I know it's actually real. Has anyone got symptoms yet?

Twosidestwoplayers · 19/06/2022 19:12

@dogmum00 congrats and sorry about your loss! I understand somewhat as I’ve had a similar experience. It’s really hard and I think I’ll be nervous until baby is here in my arms basically. Every day is just dragging, I got a bfp on Wednesday but only reached 4 weeks pregnant today. Feels like I’ll never make it to the 12 week scan!

Symptoms-wise I’m very tired and my sense of smell has sharpened. The sickness usually hits at 6 weeks so I’ve two weeks to go!

dogmum00 · 19/06/2022 19:15

@Twosidestwoplayers thank you, I'm 4 weeks tomorrow. I've booked a private scan for when I'm 8 weeks but that seems like a lifetime away. Have you made your booking in appointment yet? I plan to phone the doctors tomorrow but I'm also cautious cause previous mc was at 5 weeks.

Twosidestwoplayers · 19/06/2022 19:33

@dogmum00 I just don’t know, part of me just wants to pretend it’s not happening and bury my head in the sand but I appreciate that isn’t the most sensible course of action 🙈 my trust now has a self referral form which is new. Thought I might wait until 5 weeks as they say allow a week to hear back. I’m in two minds as to a private scan as well because last time my private scan at 9 weeks was fine but 12 weeks wasn’t. So not sure if having one is actually going to help!

But like I say - I’m thinking best thing all round is just to think positive and move forward with hope, worrying isn’t going to help anything is it!

Hagster · 19/06/2022 21:06

@twosidestwoplayers @dogmum00 I hear you both! How is it possible for time to move so slowly?! It's so hard to get that balance right between reasonable worry and letting yourself enjoy being pregnant, especially after previous loss. I am just trying to keep myself really busy to distract myself but it's hard, and I keep swinging wildly between excitement and worry. I'm very glad to have you lovely people to worry with.

WonderWoop · 19/06/2022 22:26

Thanks @Bella9992 and @Skylark1990 … I told him this morning (well via DD who gave him the digital test! She’s 2 so she had no idea what she was doing). He was so pleased. Think he had given up a bit like I had

congrats and welcome @dogmum00
feel your worry as well as @Twosidestwoplayers and everyone else of course. I am planning a private scan at about 8 weeks as I’ll be seeing my mum and sister who live abroad. Would like to tell them then if I could. Plus we will be going to a wedding and they will totally spot if I don’t drink!! When I was pregnant with DD I was so paranoid of miscarrying that we didn’t tell anyone until 16w! So I may well change my mind.

I have been having cramps for the last two days. I wish I had documented how I felt when I was pregnant with DD but I am pretty sure I had cramps at this early stage too. Multiple trips to toilet to check 🤦🏻‍♀️

TeddyBeans · 20/06/2022 07:28

Morning all! 12dpo and I got my BFP today 🥳 I'm going to give it a couple more days and then send DP a Moonpig from the bean to let him know.

EDD is 1st March. I'm so excited to be on this journey again! DS turned 4 in April and he's going to make the most amazing big brother

FastFish1993 · 20/06/2022 08:38

Good morning everyone, welcome and congrats to the new joiners 😊

Silly first timer question - Does anyone know when we're meant to ring the GP or self refer to a midwife? And there's 2 hospitals near me, do I need to choose which one I want to go with now? (if everything goes to plan! 🤞)

Ballyboo1986 · 20/06/2022 08:49

Hi All, long time lurker but first post. I would love to join, I got my BFP lastnight on a frer at 9dpo. So early but feeling hopeful. This is 2nd month TCC no. 2. I have a 21 month old DS.

Calculating based on last period dates I would be due 26th Feb, but I know I only ovulated on CD 20..so probably add a week on!

Hoping to see more line progression over the next few days, any feeling nervous but fingers and toes crossed!!

Due Late Feb / Early March 2023 💖💙💐🌈
Curlywurly3 · 20/06/2022 09:08

Morning! I’m so happy to be asking if I can also join? I got my BFP yesterday. EDD is 28th Feb or 1st March! Already have 1DD who is 3. I’ve been pregnant twice since December so I’m hoping this one works out!

Skylark1990 · 20/06/2022 09:11

Welcome to newbies and hope everyone is well today! @dogmum00 @Hagster @Twosidestwoplayers definitely can relate to all you say, after previous losses I think the worry is next level. I'm similar, oscillating between excitement and feelings of positivity and then worry. I think for me the worst is thinking that if I do something e.g. run to train or twist in weird way to pick up DD, that might cause a MC. I know this isn't the case (well entirely unlikely) but seeing as I don't know what caused my previous early losses I think I'm a lot more aware and cautious.BUT I'm 5 weeks today, and my previous losses were before that (4+3 &4+5 I think) so I'm feeling happy today :) stopped testing with FRERs on Fri but will probably do one more digital this Fri to see if it goes up to 3+! Also unsure about an early scan, leaning against doing one but I'll see how my worry is going around 7-8 weeks!

Haven't referred to doc yet, need to do that this week. Is anyone else constipated already?? 😂😅🙈 I've been struggling the last few days! On the lactulose already 😅 hoping it eases off soon. Only got a little bit blocked up with DD at 12 weeks so this is wayyyyy earlier! 🤦‍♀️

Oh lots of newbies since i last checked! Sorry for the radio silence, i only really go on mumsnet at work haha! Hope everyone is doing well

@FastFish1993 my area has an online referral form now, i just googled community midwife team in the area to find the number and the form came up. We also have two hospitals i could go to - i was really surprised with my first that i was asked which one i'd want to go to at the first phone call!!! But you can definitely change your mind if you need to. Is there one you know is better than the other or do you know someone whose been to them to give birth?

@Thetractorjustmoved I also have a LB who has just turned 2. I'm so worried about how he's going to manage being a sibling. He's been sick this weekend and i've found it so hard as i'm just so tired and he's quite big so picking him up is already hard for me and now i'm trying to do it less :( I also had PND with my first, i'm still on medication for it so i'm hoping that will help.

@Lmcc88 @MooBugz Another Scotland based mumma here too! It's meant to be 20 degrees today, roasting haha

MooBugz · 20/06/2022 12:08

@mumofbun I think is the best we're getting from a summer this year it's to be cloudy again by tomorrow 😩

Hope everyone is doing ok today, I've had a good morning and I find keeping busy stops me from thinking what ifs.

Have a good day all 😎

Lmcc88 · 20/06/2022 12:18

Hi @mumofbun it is glorious today just out for a lunchtime walk!

@FastFish1993 not silly at all! I was going to post the same question…. I called the midwife as soon as I got my BFPlast time before my loss I had to wait 2 weeks for a call and then a durthwe 2 weeks for another call but unfortunately never got to have that one. I just feel like I called too early last time so I feel like holding off a little this time but don’t know what is your guys thoughts?

STom2 · 20/06/2022 17:08

Congrats to all the recent BFPs! Another one here who is VERY familiar with the anxiety early pregnancy brings. Had a MMC before having my DS, and another early MC last month. Keeping the worry relatively in check atm. Got a 3+ on a digi on Saturday (at 5w4d) so that's eased my mind momentarily (as I didn't get a 3+ when I had my last MC). Away for the week visiting family, so when I get back to London I will try get a scan at the EPU I think. Just to check if things are where they should be. Would be between 7-8 weeks at that point.

Ally256 · 21/06/2022 06:29

@STom2 I'm in London and planning to get a scan then too! I'm 5+3 today, going to try to hang off till nearer 8 weeks.

Skylark1990 · 21/06/2022 08:22

Hey everyone, hope you have good days today! I'm 5+1, 22dpo and did my last frer today. Definitely a dye stealer and I THINK a bit darker than the one I did at 18dpo but not sure. Trying not to overthink the granular level of darkness 😅 I know at a certain point they stop getting darker anyway - has anyone else had this. Here's today's test anyway in case anyone wants to see - do we think this looks good? Hopefully get 3+ on a Digi in a few days when I pluck up the courage to test with one of those again! Got 2-3 last Fri.

Due Late Feb / Early March 2023 💖💙💐🌈

hello everyone! Joining you all in this anxious period. Just found out I'm 4 weeks and one day pregnant. Still in shock! Super keen for a fb group when someone sets one up. I'm still close with some of the friends I made through the mumsnet due date fb group I joined for my first born :)

TeddyBeans · 21/06/2022 11:59

And the heartburn starts again 😭 It's been ages since I last had heartburn but I've already had to take a Rennie for 3 days in a row! I lived on them in my last pregnancy and it looks like I'll be doing the same this time around.

Anyone else suffering with early symptoms?

Twosidestwoplayers · 21/06/2022 16:26

@TeddyBeans yep insomnia and heartburn at night. Crap isn’t it!!! I live on Rennies too, orange are my favourite 😂

TeddyBeans · 21/06/2022 16:34

@Twosidestwoplayers oh I haven't tried the orange ones! I live on spearmint 😂

Twosidestwoplayers · 21/06/2022 16:36

@TeddyBeans ah yes they are my second choice. Cba with peppermint though. (How did it come to this 😂)

MooBugz · 21/06/2022 16:42

Haha @Twosidestwoplayers @TeddyBeans I found that loveheart sweets were really good at combatting the heartburn for some reason so worth trying if it works for you easier on the taste too!

TeddyBeans · 21/06/2022 16:45

@Twosidestwoplayers @MooBugz by the end of my pregnancy last time I was just chugging milk out of the bottle 😂 the next best thing to Rennie's imo. Interesting about the love hearts though, think DP would raise an eyebrow at that if I decided to try it
