41andtryingforfirst · 20/07/2022 12:00

@MightyMouse101 thank you! I will do. Hope all is well with you x

MightyMouse101 · 20/07/2022 12:11

@41andtryingforfirst All good thanks, heard the heartbeat yesterday which is always reassuring. My toddler stopped sleeping during the heat wave so that wasn't much fun. 😂

brogan12 · 20/07/2022 12:42

@41andtryingforfirst ahh congratulations! That's exactly what happened to me this time round! Mc in April and positive test in may! I'm now 14 weeks exactly with my rainbow! I pray everything goes perfect for you too! 🌈

41andtryingforfirst · 20/07/2022 14:09

@brogan12 thank you so much. That's a relief to hear. I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly for you x

@MightyMouse101 how exciting to hear the heartbeat! I can't wait until the day I can experience that too x

Somatronic · 20/07/2022 15:00

@41andtryingforfirst congratulations! I'm so pleased for you!

Hope everyone is doing well and that sickness/fatigue etc is improving.

I have my 16 week appointment with my consultant on Monday. No idea what to expect but I'm sure it'll be fine. I will be 16 weeks tomorrow.

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 20/07/2022 15:52

Hi lovelies I hope all your pregnancies are going ok and that the second trimester is going well.

Just wanted to update you all that I got a BFP! Looks like baby is due on April 1st but not too sure as fell pregnant at some point since the MC.

Anyways just wanted to let you know my news!

Lots of love, Sara E-J from the Facebook group x

That’s fantastic news, very happy for you!

@41andtryingforfirst congrats!!!

babyjellyfish · 21/07/2022 09:14

Congratulations @41andtryingforfirst!

Had a little scan yesterday at 15 weeks. Dr thinks we are having a girl.

hopingfor23 · 21/07/2022 09:44

Oh amazing @babyjellyfish 💗 we are going for a private scan next week to find out as I simply haven't got the patience!!!

babyjellyfish · 21/07/2022 09:53

I just hope the doctor is not wrong, because my husband is delighted. We already have a boy.

Well the 20 week scan will confirm it won't it so 🤞

MrsMCtobe · 21/07/2022 13:44

@freckles503 I've just joined the group. How are you doing? Have you been offered a CSV or NIPT test? My measurements were fine during the scan 1.18 but my blood screening results come back as 1 in 85 chance of Down's syndrome. They have booked me in for a CSV next Tuesday but wondering if I should opt for the NIPT

Cat2hop · 22/07/2022 06:05

Hi everyone 👋
Now I'm 14+4 and measured a little ahead now 4 days - at scans (although if measures are within 7 days of lmp edd they don't change the edd), so still due 16/1.
I'll be 40 when baby arrives so I paid for NIPT (didnt bother first time around) even though my first trimester screen was reassuring. NIPT also all good. We also found out gender. Our first is a girl and we'd both liked the idea of a second girl but we will have a little brother instead. Bit of gender disappointment today tbh but also why I didn't want a surprise on delivery as we will process and be excited soon enough!
My first delivery was a bit complex at 40+4 - instrumental delivery, large pph, and I'm hoping that we might be able to induce a bit early this time round!

@Swale Thank you so much

freckles503 · 22/07/2022 17:49

@MrsMCtobe im doing ok. Quite anxious if I’m being honest. I did the NIPT but I’m still waiting for results. They said I should hear by next Friday. Have you decided what you are going to do?

fullfatsocks · 23/07/2022 09:01

Thanks @Swale I’ve asked to join too. I’m 14 weeks today now and we had our nhs dating scan yesterday. We also had a NIPT on Monday - - just felt I wanted a more accurate result than the nhs/ as much info as poss and as it was baby wasn’t playing ball for a nuchal measurement yesterday anyway. We should have the results next week. We are finding out the sex too, I would happily wait until birth but my partner wants to know more than I don’t and I’m happy to do it to help him feel more prepared.

Hope everyone is feeling ok, I have felt so much better these last few weeks it’s a massive relief.

MrsMCtobe · 25/07/2022 08:16

@freckles503 it's such an anxious time 😢. I've decided to ask the doctors opinion after I get scanned. I'm booked in for CVS but they've said I can have the NIPT test should I decide to on the day.

ExpectingaRainbow · 25/07/2022 10:33

@MrsMCtobe is there a benefit to going for the CVS over NIPT? I would have assumed NIPT would be the next thing offered given it's accuracy and it's non-invasive?

How is everybody else feeling coming out of the 1st trimester? I'm 16 weeks this week and finally starting to feel more normal both physically and mentally. Although I can't feel movement yet I feel like having a growing bump has really helped my anxiety!

Somatronic · 25/07/2022 11:20

Hi All. I had my 16 week appointment this morning with the consultant - all good, had a scan done and saw baby and heartbeat and everything looks good. The head was at my bellybutton and it was sort of standing up which was quite cute. I'm staying under the consultant for the rest of the pregnancy so I'm happy about that.

I haven't felt any kicks or anything yet (I don't think?!) so I'm glad that it's still in there and still OK! I didn't do the screening tests so I'm assuming all is well.

@ExpectingaRainbow I definitely feel much better in the second trimester and I can't wait for kicks to start for hopefully even more reassurance.

MrsMCtobe · 25/07/2022 12:18

@ExpectingaRainbow They said the CVS is more accurate and checks for so much more than the NIPT? I'm so undecided on what to do
