2.1 is the same as 2.10.

babyjellyfish · 17/07/2022 09:04

A zero after the decimal point doesn't count.

The next level up after 2.9 is 3.0.

Waitin · 17/07/2022 09:53

@babyjellyfish oh is it but I read some people got 2.12 ,2.15 readings so am confused with these measurements.

Dogmum11 · 17/07/2022 10:36

scores can be any number - 2.01(2.one) 2.1 (2.ten), 2.12 (2.twelve) 2.15(2.fifteen) 2.2(2.twenty)

Waitin · 17/07/2022 10:58

@Dogmum11 yes my score is 2.10mm it’s written in my notes and it’s written within the normal range but when I read in other places I couldn’t find that reading at all and above 2.8mm is high end of normal .😔

Minnie82 · 17/07/2022 11:39

@Waitin Did you have your blood tests too and have your results for that to tell you your risks. At 2.1 (or 2.10mm) you are still quite a way below that 2.8 (2.80mm). Try not to worry ( i know easier said than done).

Waitin · 17/07/2022 11:49

@Minnie82 Thank you very much assuring and yes same day they took my bloods and said results will take 2 weeks .

freckles503 · 17/07/2022 19:00

Mine was 3. Anyone have good outcomes with a number around that number?

MightyMouse101 · 17/07/2022 19:27

@freckles503 From memory my daughter was 2.9mm - still classed as okay but high enough that I seriously debated a NIPT. In the end I waited for the screening tests which were low risk so didn't bother and she was absolutely fine. That won't help your anxiety though so maybe speak to your midwife. Have your results come back yet?

Waitin · 17/07/2022 21:34

Wondering anyone ever have 2.10 mm in their NT scan ??much appreciated if any experiences

DanceWithYourBalloon · 18/07/2022 09:00

@babyjellyfish

How long did you have to wait for your results after the blood tests and scan? The hospital down here have told me two weeks! 🙄

Ah, I'm afraid my doctor sent me to the American Hospital in Paris where they do the blood tests when you first arrive and have the results back two hours later in time for the ultrasound, so I really can't help you there!

Yes @Waitin, that's exactly what mine was last time. 2.1 and 2.10 are the same number. It's between 2 and 2.2, and a perfectly normal number.

I was assessed as low risk - 1 in 5,000 for Downs Syndrome and 1 in 11,000 for trisomy 13 and 18.

Baby was completely healthy.

DanceWithYourBalloon · 18/07/2022 09:36

@babyjellyfish ah the perks of being near Paris. I'm out in the sticks down here in 47! 😂

freckles503 · 18/07/2022 20:47

@MightyMouse101 no results yet. They said it won’t come back for 2-3 weeks.

LR89 · 18/07/2022 22:05

I had my scan and screening bloods later Tuesday and had the results letter by Saturday in the post

I’m uk
last pregnancy 2.1 1-11,000 for downs, 1-100,000 for the other
this pregnancy 1.2 1-100,000 for both. Letter came through after about 12 days

has anyone suffered with headaches, I’ve not had a headache for years but for the last 4 days it’s been constant!

Waitin · 19/07/2022 07:23

@babyjellyfish Thank you

I am really struggling with headaches and there's just nothing except paracetemol which don't touch the sides 😩 The pharmacist wouldn't even sell me forehead balm! Cold flannel on the forehead helps but not much 🙈

Somatronic · 19/07/2022 10:07

Are screening tests done as a matter of routine in Britain? I'm in Ireland and was offered private Harmony/Panorama tests for €400 which I declined due to cost. None of my friends ever did them either. Most weren't even offered the tests. All the talk here is making me wonder.

My GP gave me nausea tablets for my headache and they've helped me a good bit. Might be worth a visit if they're bad?

Just to keep us all occupied... where are we all from? :)

I'll start... Stubbington, Hampshire

Hey neighbour! I'm in Botley!

281717O · 19/07/2022 11:46

you Get screening done at your 12 week scan as standard, I think if the results come back and you’re high risk you’re offered another type of test.
@hopingfor23 i don’t take medication, tablets make me feel physically sick so I’m just trying to deal them, it is awful though! I think I can remember having them last time, lasted around a week at about 18 weeks and they just went so praying I just wake up one morning without it!

babyjellyfish · 19/07/2022 16:05

TMI, but is anyone else getting, err, unusual cervical mucus?

I'm getting gobs of clear jelly-like stuff. No blood in it and it doesn't smell.

Waitin · 20/07/2022 07:50

@babyjellyfish yes I get it often as u mentioned but I think it’s nothing to worry about it’s common in pregnancy midwife told me .

41andtryingforfirst · 20/07/2022 10:07
