Hi All,

I posted on the first thread but a while ago straight after I got a positive test at 8dpo. I’m 6w1d now and had a scan at 5w5d which showed a heartbeat which was a big relief.

I’ve just had my booking in appointment through so it’s all starting to feel very real!

Sassy144 · 28/05/2022 08:47

@Moosh18 I'm also cramping on and off, like a dull 'my period will be here soon' feeling that often goes round to my back too. Paracetamol helps, but the worry is horrible! I'm just telling myself it is everything growing which must be a good thing.

winsones · 28/05/2022 09:07

@sparklyhippo I'm 7 weeks today. Yes, self referred last Friday and actually had a text and email yesterday. I will hear in a couple of days when my first appointment is.
How about you?

5 weeks 3 days so a little behind you. That’s good to hear they’ve contacted you! I know I won’t hear just yet but useful to know an approx time scale

Got to go back to the hospital for another blood test tomorrow morning, to check my hcg levels are doing what they should be.

BabyGray · 28/05/2022 10:43

Annaxox · 28/05/2022 11:10

Hi everyone, I’m 5 weeks pregnant. And haven’t gone off coffee yet! With my other babies I went off coffee at about 6/7weeks when the sickness kicks in. So whilst I still really fancy a cup of it I have a jar of decaf coffee... does anyone know if it’s okay to have a cup of it? I feel really selfish but I usually drink about 10 cups of coffee a day (I know I’m terrible) but since finding out last week I haven’t touched it! Someone please help me out 😂🥰

Moosh18 · 28/05/2022 11:33

@Annaxox I still have one cup of coffee evey morning! I did with my Dd too, x

I was on the last thread but have been really quiet, I'm also in the FB group for January babies.
I'm 37 partner is 47. I live in Somerset. Already have 2 boys 16 & 12. This pregnancy is completely different to my others. I was sick as a dog with them. Not been sick once with this one. I feel sick at times but once I eat I feel ok. I'm around 8 weeks. Had an early scan a week ago Tuesday & she dated me at 6wks 4 days & saw a heartbeat. Currently on holiday in Egypt & I just keep thinking it's stopped growing as don't feel pregnant. Booked a private scan for a week on Thursday so I'll find out then if pregnancy is still progressing. I'll be 10wks then, or 9wks 6days. If I'm honest I'm just trying not to think about this pregnancy as bad as that sounds, & it's pretty easy to forget as feel normal majority of the time.
Also I'm still having a coffee every morning. Good luck to everyone on this journey 💞

hopingfor23 · 28/05/2022 11:49

I am a coffee addict but since around 5-6w I can't touch it as it makes me go straight to the loo 😩😩😩😩 I'm fine with a Brew so having to make do with that when I need a caffeine hit 🙈

aquarius36 · 28/05/2022 11:49

Also I don't know if anyone else is doing this but I've been tracking my RHR (resting heart rate) on my Apple Watch for about 2years. It's pretty up & down but is definitely staying higher in pregnancy

DebieS · 28/05/2022 12:52

I’m jealous you can still drink coffee haha. I used to drink so much but even the smell makes me want to be sick 🤮

ZoeG22 · 28/05/2022 13:01

@Annaxox I think you're 'allowed' two cups of tea or instant coffee a day according to NHS www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/foods-to-avoid/

@aquarius36 which Facebook group is that? I joined one with my last pregnancy and found it easier to keep up with than these threads ☺️

fb.me/g/p_mdZYvBJZYZbZdKtL/kmWsHKdk @ZoeG22 I found the link from the last thread. No idea what I'm doing though as I didn't set it up, but see if this works?

Thanks - ah it doesn't work 😣

aquarius36 · 28/05/2022 13:22

I know that the link expires after a certain time, & the lady that set it up isn't on this thread yet as I've searched for her😣 I have no clue how to do it🙉 if someone can explain to me if they know how to then I'll try & post an new link. I won't have any wifi now for a few hours as we're just off to the beach so no internet. I'll check bk in later but by then hopefully someone might of done it, if anyone on the new thread is on the FB group 🤞🏻

Due 3rd.

Had some light pink discharge this morning.
Phoned our local maternity centre and midwife has referred me to EPU for a scan and said I should hear by Monday morning from them.

But worrying as I've had constant lower back pain for a week. Has anyone else? I'm 8+4.

Moosh18 · 28/05/2022 21:05

@PinkButtercups I've had backache since day one, I have a tilted uterus which can cause it apparently..... I've had brown spotting for weeks now too only a tiny tiny bit but have a little most days x
