Hi, looking for a little advice if possible. I’m 14+5 weeks and just before bed when I went the loo I wiped and spotted some red blood. It wasn’t loads at all and only when wiping but it was enough to make me question every ache and pain (although pretty sure these are the same as I have had all along).
Been constantly up and down weeing since to check and no more blood but aware if I have been lying down maybe I won’t know until I’m moving around tomorrow. Just came really out the blue but typically it’s happened when we have travelled 4.5 hours away from home and I don’t have my midwife’s notes / any contact numbers with me. Anyone has a similar experience?

have you contacted 111 they may be able or advise you. Although bleeding isn't normal during pregnancy, there are cases where it's not of a huge concern but you should get it checked out. All the best x

Relieved to have had the 12 week scan and all was fine. I also had one at 8 weeks and then at 10w + 4 ahead of a private Harmony (NIPT) scan so I was feeling somewhat reassured already. Have had bad news in previous private scan. At £70 I think they are really worth it. I've used Ultrasound Direct and been really happy with them. At 42 my risks for mc and chromosomal abnormality and a load of other things are so high that I really didn't want to wait - I would want to move on as fast as possible and try again since I am really running down the clock fertility wise. Anyway glad this one has stuck and that the nausea and deep fatigue has now gone.

Anyone thinking of booking a babymoon? I'm away in late August with partner and teen step children visiting his family and will be 20 weeks and am thinking it would be nice to have a few days just us later on. Would need to be by October to avoid third trimester and it might be easiest to stay in the UK but the weather will be sh*t. Maybe best to go to Greece for a few days. Anyone thought about this yet? I imagine I will be too broke for much holidaying next year so had better squeeze some in now!

Ronnyrambler · 07/07/2022 12:58

Hi @Lulux33 There should be numbers or email addresses you can contact on your hospital website. I wouldn't delay getting in touch as red blood may be an issue. It may be other things of course like a subchorionic hemataoma which is harmless I think. The only way to know is to get a scan. Maybe you could visit a private place near where you are? Ultrasound direct do scans for £70 and have locations across the country. I would do this is I couldn't get a scan at my EPU unit.

Sassy144 · 07/07/2022 15:26

@Ronnyrambler I've booked a week in Greece at the start of August, I'll be 17 weeks - cannot wait!

Evening all!
I’m wondering by if anyone is in the same boat as me…
i am 11 weeks today and feeling worse than ever! Everyone on mums et/the internet seems to be feeling slightly better or worried that their symptoms are easing and I’m the opposite!

From week 6/7 I’ve had nausea and vomiting but this has been able to be controlled by snacking throughout the day, eating before getting out of bed etc. I would only be sick once or twice a day, however the last week has been hell. The only time I feel okay is when I am asleep! I can’t snack as I can’t keep anything down, I’m sick constantly maybe 10/12 times a day. I’m totally useless and had to call in sick one day this week as even switching position in bed throughout the night would bring on the sickness. I’ve thrown up in an underpass and out of the car window too which are not highlights in my life haha!

Please someone tell me I’m not the only one? Everyone else seems to be looking forward to the ‘good’ bit of pregnancy and I have learnt every mark on the bathroom floor as I’ve spent so much time lying on it!

Dogmum I and 16 weeks and I am still feeling sick. I have hyperemersis gravidarum and I am on medication for it. I am also struggling with my joints and have had pelvic girdle pain from week 10.

In my last pregnancy I was sick up until the day DS was born. I don’t know if that makes you feel better. If you are really struggling with the sickness there is help available. Have a look at the hyperemersis support thread or call pregnancy sickness support. Flowers

freckles503 · 16/07/2022 00:19

Hello. I had an ultrasound today (12 weeks 2 days) and they said the nuchal translucency was 3 mm which is a little too high so they are recommending fetal echocardiogram at 24 weeks and genetic testing for Down’s syndrome etc. I’m really worried now. Anyone else have something similar?

Waitin · 16/07/2022 18:39

I had 13 weeks NT scan and seen it was measuring 2.10 mm am worried is it high end not sure as I seen lots of friends and my previous pregnancy is which below 2 any one please help on this ??

babyjellyfish · 16/07/2022 19:27

Mine was 2.1 in my last pregnancy and I was assessed as low risk.

freckles503 · 16/07/2022 19:39

@Waitin isn't 2.1 normal? Mine is 3mm and they anything below 2.9 is normal.

Waitin · 16/07/2022 22:45

@freckles503 it’s not 2.1 it’s 2.10 (ten)
