@Prema112 Sorry to read that you’re so worried. I’ve just read on NHS that it’s really unlikely that there’s anything wrong but they would want you to birth in hospital. Maybe you could just have a sweep? That’s a much less medicalised way of getting things going and I know you want baby to come when they’re ready but a sweep can’t work unless your body is getting ready anyway as cervix needs to have started opening. Therefore if they can perform a sweep then you’re nearly ready and hopefully it will just help things along without the need for medical intervention 🥰 something to consider xx

EarlGreywithLemon · 23/05/2022 12:19

My trust only offers sweeps from 40 weeks, unless there’s a medical reason to do it earlier. All trusts seem so different!

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 12:34

@EarlGreywithLemon I think this is the case for all trusts but it may be a medical reason though in this case. NHS says they may offer induction for too much amniotic fluid, in which case Prema could ask for a sweep first 🙂

Prema112 · 23/05/2022 12:52

@CurryandSnuggle Thank you love, a sweep is a great idea. They've asked me to come to triage so I guess we will see what the dr says. I'm really glad DH is able to come with me as I'm feeling quite emotional and keep crying!

Jammymare · 23/05/2022 12:56

Good luck @Prema112

GrowBabyGrow · 23/05/2022 12:57

@Prema112 thinking of you, hope all goes well and glad DH can be there with you!

DaimDillyDoo · 23/05/2022 13:38

@Clomid1 Yes we took Letrozole :) her original due date was 3rd June but then they moved it to 29th May. However we know exactly when she was conceived, which would take her to 3rd June. In my head she's a June baby and it saves me getting impatient and fed up at the end of May 😂

We made it to the end! How quickly has the time gone? Shock

@Prema112 Glad you and baby are ok. I'm with you on the not wanting to be induced, really hoping it happens naturally although I do have a sweep booked for 1st June.

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 13:56

@Prema112 Good luck, I’m thinking of you ❤️

Octoblockisadick · 23/05/2022 13:58

@Prema112 hope everything goes OK at triage, I'm glad your DH can go with you.

@EarlGreywithLemon the official thing for my trust is 41 weeks for a sweep if not first time mum, but they are offering earlier based on size so hopefully they won't see much difference between 37 and 38w, especially if baby is supposed to be probably about 9lb by now. If they can fit me in on like Thursday I'll be 37+5 anyway so can't see what difference 2 days would make tbh.

I called the community midwives earlier, they are going to phone me tomorrow to say if they can do any sweeps and things, go through my options basically.
I've just completely rearranged our bedroom and I'm absolutely knackered now haha. Our usual sides of the bed would mean the next2me wouldn't fit next to my side, and for breastfeeding it's obviously easier if baby is next to me. So I've flipped the mattress, changed the sides of the divan drawers, emptied the bedside tables etc. I even cleaned the windows and washed the skirting boards haha. Was planning on cleaning a few other bits, but I definitely need a sit down first!

Vimto1991 · 23/05/2022 13:59

@Prema112 crossing my fingers all is okay, atleast it’s been looked into, and hopefully if baby has to come out you can have a sweep first.

does anyone else’s belly pulsate where baby is lying? It’s not my pulse as it’s too quick, if I press in I can feel baby (and it makes them move away lol) and the pulsation gets stronger. I googled and found a few threads of people around the same gestation saying the same thing. I wonder what it is! Maybe baby suckling, or the cord is near my skin? I’ve seen this for a few weeks now so I’m not worried, I’d just love to know what it could be. I’m sure baby is so tired of me prodding them now.

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 14:17

@Vimto1991 mine pulsates too, no idea what it is!

I’ve started feeling movements, like limbs low down by my hips. I’m worried baby could have turned breech. I can’t stop worrying what it so I’ve phoned hospital and left a message. I’m not sure if it’s babies arms and hands I’m feeling, or legs and feet. But I don’t normally feel movement this low so it’s concerning me.

Vimto1991 · 23/05/2022 14:19

@CurryandSnuggle it could just be hands/arms even shoulders at this point, perhaps baby is dropping into your pelvis? Since my baby has had their head down there I can feel a lot more near my hips as I have an anterior placenta.
we need see through bellies I swear!

Octoblockisadick · 23/05/2022 14:44

@Vimto1991 I get that too, not sure what it is haha.

@CurryandSnuggle I get limbs in my left hip, but at my growth scan baby was head down and sucking his toes so not breech but still feet down low. Could be something similar? Or possibly a shoulder / arm?

InvisibleDragon · 23/05/2022 14:48

@CurryandSnuggle I get those low down movements too. Pretty sure it's his hands because he also spends a lot of time with his feet and bum pressing into my ribs!

Good luck at Triage @Prema112 - keeping my fingers crossed everything goes ok!

I've got my 36 week appointment tomorrow morning - doing birth plan and hopefully getting a date for my ELCS. Surprisingly excited!

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 14:56

Thanks guys, logically I think you are right but I keep worrying about it. I’ve got a scan in 1 hour, going to check. Fingers crossed all is good with position🤞

beansprout55 · 23/05/2022 15:40

@DaimDillyDoo Letrozole buddy! I'd forgotten! I too was expecting to a post saying your had bubba overnight!! 😂 could still happen very very soon!xxx

Prema112 · 23/05/2022 15:43

Thank so much for the support ladies!! Really made such a difference today ❤️

Consultant reviewed the scan and decided I actually DIDN'T have increased fluid! So the sonographer had just overreacted. I'm very relieved. They want me to do twice weekly monitoring so I've been hooked up to good old CTG again today which was all fine. Home now and exhausted by today, nap time...

@CurryandSnuggle Hope your scan is fine and baby is head right down!

@InvisibleDragon Exciting! Hope your appointment goes really well

@Octoblockisadick you sound like super woman today! Hopefully all that activity will help with bringing on labour!

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 15:46

@Prema112 oh phew, what a relief. Such a rollercoaster for you! Glad all is well 🥰

Thank you by the way, just waiting for scan now!

beansprout55 · 23/05/2022 16:18

@Prema112 answer to prayer, so so glad x
Enjoy your well deserved nap lovely prema!

Rolledthedice · 23/05/2022 16:21

@CurryandSnuggle I also feel movements low down in left hip area, which I think is hands or shoulders. Babies bum is on my upper left side. Hopefully the scan will out your mind at ease.

Rolledthedice · 23/05/2022 16:23

That’s such a relief @Prema112!

CurryandSnuggle · 23/05/2022 16:29

I’m out, all confirmed as being fully engaged in the pelvis to the point that she could hardly see the head on the scan! Her legs are stretched all the way out to lower side which is what I’m feeling. Lol, oh well.. best to check. I felt silly but she said it does feel confusing when palpating and reckons if midwife felt it she might have been confused too therefore best to get checked.

Flowerbug1994 · 23/05/2022 16:46

Just been in for my ctg at am being monitored twice a week now and my pre op is booked for this Thursday so I should be c section by next Thursday the 2nd. It’s all feeling really real now 🙈🙈🙈 anyone had a elective c section before what should I expect from pre op ?

Letsbekindplease · 23/05/2022 17:06

Great news @Prema112 snd @CurryandSnuggle what a relief.

that’s not long @Flowerbug1994 crazy to think how long left there is.

well I have spent the full morning being sick. Only just starting to feel normal. I honestly can’t wait to be pregnant anymore. Both pregnancies have been very different but this one a bit worse with the sickness side of things. I’m obv not remotely organised for baby either lol.

EarlGreywithLemon · 23/05/2022 17:53

@Octoblockisadick 41 weeks is so late! I remember feeling so frustrated when they wouldn’t give me one at 39 weeks in my last pregnancy. Good that they’re prepared to give you one earlier.
