Ooh we've moved fast eh! Hope everyone's feeling OK this morning! I just did a 8km walk and started feeling pretty puffed out by about 6km in, which is unusual for me.

Sorry to anyone that has suffered a loss this time around, I couldn't remember who had and DD was trying to grab my phone so I didn't have chance to go through the old thread!

Thanks for adding me! Can I ask if anyone else is experiencing a stitch like pain low in the abdomen? The NHS website is quite reassuring and says it's most likely just ligaments stretching.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Elm1292 · 13/04/2022 16:07

Hi everyone! Jumping on this thread as I’m 5+3 with my 1st baby. My only symptoms are sore boobs and waves of nausea but no sickness just yet! How’s everyone doing symptom wise today?

MrsCrumbtious · 13/04/2022 16:23

@Elm1292 I’m 4+3 today (swear this week is draaaaaaaging) Not a load of symptoms mainly insomnia and lower backache. My boobs have stopped hurting today which is worrying me a bit (a lot) but remember I went through similar with my daughter 4 years ago trying to stay positive!

Mommabear20 · 13/04/2022 17:07

I didn't see there had already been a new thread made to follow on from the last 😂 I'll tag everyone in that one so we're all on the same one 😁

Hi please can I join? I’m due around the 10-12 December and feel sooooo sick! If anyone has any advice for all day sea sick type sickness I’d be very grateful x

PandaOrLion · 28/04/2022 15:47

Placemarking for when the old thread is full. I’m due 17th Dec.

I had my booking in appointment at my GP surgery - annoying as I have to have two; one to there and one at the hospital I’ll give birth in, as it’s in a different post code!

Tofu35 · 28/04/2022 15:57

Placemarking for when we fill up the old one!

Luckyme2022 · 28/04/2022 18:03

Hi ladies,

I’ve been following these Dec threads for quite a while and was not sure to join too soon due to my previous early MC experiences. But now I thought it would be great to get supports from ladies who are going through the same pregnancy journey.

Similar to @AliceAbsolum , I’ve got 6 IVFs and 3 MCs in the last 4 years and I am now 40. Recently I noticed I was pregnant naturally while I was Covid positive, just before our next round of IVF. This was so overwhelming. I had my early scan today and have been nervous everyday not knowing if I could see anything. But the result turned out to be satisfactory. I was finally able to see the heartbeat of my little one for the first time ever❤️❤️. That was truly an incredible feeling and I was in tear. Still nervous but hopefully this time this little angel sticks. 🤞I thought I am 6w+3, but the scan says I am 6w+0, and my scan EDD is now 22 Dec.

Congrats to you @AliceAbsolum and to those ones with great scan results too. Hope to hear more from you all.

xxx

@Luckyme2022 wow that's amazing! Congrats. Your scan pics are cute. Do you have any frozen embryos?

Luckyme2022 · 28/04/2022 18:24

@AliceAbsolum thanks. I don’t have any frozen embryo. With my age, all IVF cycles didn’t end up having too many eggs and only 1 or 2 embryos were in good quality that could be transferred. That’s why I had to do a new treatment all the time. What about you? Did you get any good ones frozen?

5manc · 28/04/2022 18:50

@AliceAbsolum @Luckyme2022 so pleased for you both having some good news after a long journey ❤️

AliceAbsolum · 28/04/2022 19:10

@Luckyme2022 I quickly gave up on my eggs, so we did a donor cycle and got 6 embryos. This time we transfered 2, (both actually implanted but the other gestational sac is empty "vanishing twin") so we have 2 left in the freezer.
But I hate early pregnancy so much I never want to do this again!
Although maybe it's like marathons, you say you'll never do it again and then you impulsively book another 1 a week later 😅

RSmamaa · 28/04/2022 19:17

Thanks for the add! Sorry I'm useless with mumsnet these days. I stick to facebook mostly. How is everyone? I was sick for the first time this preg today 🤮

Nejnej2 · 28/04/2022 19:31

Lovely scan pics @Luckyme2022! I was also covid positive in early pregnancy (swabbed positive just before 5 weeks) so it's lovely to hear it hasn't affected things for you :)

Pinkfig · 28/04/2022 20:03

Evening ladies, 6+2 and the nausea has been with me all day, I've been mostly eating Breadsticks today as its the only thing that makes me feel OK. Grateful for having symptoms now though I feel more pregnant and confident my hormones are elevating to support my pregnancy.

Also been getting round ligament pain already, guessing it's because it's my third pregnancy and I ain't no spring chicken either ha!

So lovely seeing everyone else's early scans!

Question though, does anyone else have really sharp lightning type sensations near their groin sometimes? They last literally seconds.

Luckyme2022 · 28/04/2022 20:11

@5manc thanks ❤️

@Nejnej2 i asked the nurse during the scan today and she said there isn’t enough data to proof covid can harm or affect anything in early pregnancy. So hopefully the baby is ok to continue developing.

@RSmamaa how far are you in your pregnancy now? Maybe eating some sour will help? I still haven’t got many symptoms apart from being hungry most of the time.

@AliceAbsolum it’s so nice you have two to freeze. But sorry to hear that one didn’t progress. Trust me I know that marathon feeling. 😌

AliceAbsolum · 29/04/2022 06:15

Anyone else have a bit of a race in the mornings to get food into them? I have a window of about 5 minutes from getting up before I start to feel seriously nauseous. Doesn't help that I have 2 injections, 3 pills and pessaries to take care of first thing either.
DH asked me to help him look for something yesterday and I had to tell him no and I was on a wheetabix mission 😅

Laughingmole · 29/04/2022 07:23

@Pinkfig yes! I get really quick like stabbing pains right next to my hip bone. Just on and off. My friend who is a midwife said it’s perfectly normal and it’s the uterus stretching. I’m 9+1 now and getting them much less than a few weeks ago.

stuntbubbles · 29/04/2022 07:29

@AliceAbsolum You need a snack stash next to your bed! I can’t even get up without shoving a cracker in my gob.

AliceAbsolum · 29/04/2022 08:09

@stuntbubbles genius

stuntbubbles · 29/04/2022 08:11

@AliceAbsolum It’s also a good habit to get into to prepare for the night feeds food stash! Next-to-me cribs were basically invented as a place for your flapjacks, jelly babies and water bottle.

RSmamaa · 29/04/2022 08:56

@Luckyme2022 I'm 6+3 now. I seem to have intermittent nausea so try to get something down in between
