Thought I would post this website here that gives realistic statistics regards pregnancy… as there seems to be so much conflicting information available … this sites sources where the statistics were taken etc … more realistic and in some cases a better out come… also takes age and other factors into consideration.

Things still aren’t running smoothly for me at all, but that meant another scan yesterday.

Anyone want to guess if it’s a boy or girl? I was 13+1 at the scan.

Due December '22 thread 2!
Jampot36 · 03/06/2022 09:30

@RhiRhi1996 i was weight training same as you pre ivf/pregnancy but ive not been for 8 weeks. I'm too tired and i have no desire to. Hoping once first trimester is done I'll ease my way back and muscle memory will kick in.
I was told by 2 PTs to be very careful and I'd probs be too knackered anyway. I've just been walking mostly.

Don't push through, listen to your body. It's busy doing other stuff at the mo and you'll pick it back up when you're ready
X

Jampot36 · 03/06/2022 09:35

@LolaJ87 i have no idea but what a beautiful image!

LolaJ87 · 03/06/2022 09:44

Thanks @Jampot36 ❤No abnormalities detected at the scan yesterday, everything is looking on track (which is what they would have relied on before the blood tests) so for the moment I am just focused on that and staying positive.

lovesT · 03/06/2022 09:50

@KittyKat1989 yes definitely! Even reading my daughter a story at night haha. Carrying her up the stairs is like I've climbed a mountain 😵‍💫😅. I remember it with my daughter too.

@AG96 yes definitely, and I had the same with my daughter too, it's normal but I know the feeling of worry and just going to check! I notice more before (sorry TMI) a bowel movement ....

BuchananBaby · 03/06/2022 09:52

@Mommabear20 I think every month between now and October I'm going to put £30 in a money box then when I have a rough idea of the size of baby I'll go get some nappies etc DD was 6lbs5 so all the size 1 nappies were too big and we had to buy size 0 anyway which was annoying 🙈 we got given lots of nappies but she didn't get on with pampers etc so I had to give those all away 🙈 now I'm looking for some bigger things but I'm trying to buy as much 2nd hand as possible so could take months to find the things I want which DP is happy with as we have absolutely no space whatsoever 😂

BuchananBaby · 03/06/2022 09:53

@LolaJ87 what a gorgeous baby 🥰 I think that looks like a girl skull ❤️

LolaJ87 · 03/06/2022 09:58

@BuchananBaby thank you so much ❤It's wonderful to see them starting to look like their own little person.

Leila2022 · 03/06/2022 11:25

My last baby I didn’t buy nappies from Sainsbury until 2 weeks before I was due… I bought a variety of sizes… kept the receipt and returned what I didn’t need :).

I wasted so much on things I never actually used … hopefully all being well this time I won’t be

second hand is the way to go… I have baby clothes in storage my little boy hardly wore

HayleyBean · 03/06/2022 11:37

@RhiRhi1996 I could have written the same post. Before I was pregnant I was gymming 4 times a week lifting heavy weights and running twice a week. Since finding out I'm pregnant (12+3) I've not been to the gym once or been for a run. I feel so tired, nauseous and just generally shite. Me and my husband do an even split on the housework and he's basically taken over and does everything. Even walking into our kitchen makes me puke. I just feel so knackered and useless. It's horrible! Trying to drink 2 litres of water a day is a chore but I can't tolerate anything else.

@LolaJ87 I've got no clue but what an amazing scan pic 😍

Laughingmole · 03/06/2022 11:39

@RhiRhi1996 I completely agree, the tiredness is unreal! I’m nearly 14 weeks now. It got a bit better around week 12 but has come back this week! I need naps everyday!
Luckily my partner is amazing and has taken on everything in the house and just let’s me sleep! 😴

This thread is getting full now! We are going to need a thread 4!

LolaJ87 · 03/06/2022 12:19

@HayleyBean thank you so much ❤

I think there's only a couple of us on thread who don't live in the UK (I'm Irish). Hopefully lots of rest over the long weekend helps some of you with the pregnancy fatigue.

RhiRhi1996 · 03/06/2022 14:07

It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one struggling with the things they used to do. I think on the exercise front, I'll try and find something less exhausting so I am at least moving my body in some way until 2nd trimester!

I haven't started buying anything yet, but putting money away each month sounds like a good shout, so I think I will start doing that! I think once I've found out gender (I am gonna get a early scan at 16 weeks most likely) I will be resisting the urge to buy stuff!

tasha4eva10 · 03/06/2022 14:21

I'm 10 weeks and have started buying already 🙈 but that's more because I have had 2 scans and everything is going smoothly and also between now and due date I have a holiday to pay for, school uniform, Christmas and all the baby stuff on top! 🙈. Only got unisex clothes, a pack of nappies and 2 blankets so far though in terms of "stuff" managed get an obaby change table from £250 down to £80 on marketplace so that was too good a deal to miss out on and a chicco next to me crib from £130 I got it for £20!! So couldn't resist the bargains there 😂. Waiting until the next scan on 21st June and then will start buying more regularly then

lovesT · 03/06/2022 14:41

We haven't bought anything yet but have so much from our daughter still. We bed shared with our daughter and we have her cot attached to our bed still so we won't be buying a Moses basket again as that was a waste of space and money 😅 we even have our nappies ready as we did reusables so we're ready to go 👍. We said we will buy a little outfit after the 20 week scan as that's what we did with our daughter and that felt special ❤️.

Anyone else in the second trimester now? I'm 14 weeks today and feel soooo much better. Feels really good to be in the 2nd trimester now!

Meowcat89 · 03/06/2022 15:25

@lovesT I'm 14 weeks today too but I can't say I feel much better physically anyway. Still getting nauseas but that could also be because of the amount of meds I'm having to take atm. On top of my usual cocktail I've also got antibiotics for an apparent water infection 🫤

Also forgot to say after my random bleed episode that was possibly down to said infection, they gave me an anti-D injection because of my blood type. I still don't understand how all that works because both me and the hubs are rhesus negative so surely the baby couldn't be positive? Idk I don't get it 🙈 but they were adamant I needed it.

Tofu35 · 03/06/2022 17:15

Trip to Sainsbury's today and picked up some nice jammies (sized up because my boobs are massive now and a lot of my summer jammies are vest tops so no chance of fitting them!) and a tankini because my swimsuit doesn't fit, and the bikinis (even when I sized up) had a lot of boob spillage 😂

No luck with trousers/shorts yet though!

AG96 · 03/06/2022 17:36

@Tofu35 I'm struggling with finding anything that fits my boobs now! I was already a 36HH pre-pregnancy and God knows what size I am now.
Contemplating getting some nursing bras but because I feel it's too good to be true that I'm actually pregnant I'm nervous to buy anything lol. Also don't know how much they will continue to grow!

Tofu35 · 03/06/2022 17:53

@AG96 I walked past the nursing bras today and did the same thing, "not time for that yet" as I'm extending straps and all sorts to get my regular bras to fit me! Maybe other shops would market the same bras differently - maternity bras with a massive statement like "no pressure, we aren't thinking of the next step, but you need a new bra for now" 😂

Jampot36 · 03/06/2022 18:34

@AG96 @Tofu35 i went to marks and spencer for a bra fitting today. They have some on 2 for £18 and the lady was really helpful. Got me in ones where they fit on tightest hooks so as i expand i can loosen them a notch so should last a good few months. Hopefully until into 3rd trimester. Was def worth it, my boobs are grateful for the comfort.

AG96 · 03/06/2022 18:48

@Jampot36 think I will have to do this as well. Fed up of having 4 boobs as they're starting to pop out the top of my current bras 😂

lovesT · 03/06/2022 19:05

I hate bra shopping but all this talk made me feel my boobs in my bra and they're definitely outgrowing my current bra which I think I got when pregnant with my daughter 😅 nooo maybe I'll have to go bra shopping soon, or just let them run loose 😂

Jampot36 · 03/06/2022 19:05

@AG96 yes my mam told me i had to get it dealt with 😂

@Tofu35 i got some elasticated trousers at m&s and some linen elasticated shorts at h&m. Not too expensive either!

Jaaxe · 03/06/2022 19:15

Hi all, hoping I can join….pregnant with number 4….completely unplanned (actually took the morning after pill) 10 weeks and due end of December. I haven’t told my other half yet 😬 or anyone else as im very anxious about it being csection number 4 and burying my head in the sand a little longer kind of feels easier right now….hoping for a little support and others to chat to that don’t actually know me, hope you are all well, I feel like pure hell x
