@Laughingmole, congratulations, that's amazing news and a lovely scan photo!

All this food talk is making me hungry!! I had bacon and tomato sandwiches for breakfast this morning and it was divine! I've also been craving very opposite things. On a huge fruit trip since a few weeks, which is odd because I'm not a big fan of fruit normally. That's great because it offsets my other big craving, poutine. It's a local dish of French fries, cheese curds and gravy. 🤤

Graceybaby · 30/04/2022 17:54

Aw lovely scan @Laughingmole! 😍
Glad it all went well.

Counting down the days till mine.. 2 weeks today 🤦🏼‍♀️

So bloated today couldn't do my jeans up and just felt uncomfortable all day, boobs have felt very swollen and tender too.. I feel like it's slowly sinking in that I'm pregnant.. 😅😂

Laughingmole · 30/04/2022 18:39

Thanks everyone 😍 I have some lovely video clips too which show the heart beating. Couldn’t hear it yet as the lady said it’s not safe to use the doplar before 11 weeks. But I could see it beating and that’s what matters.
I would recommend having a private scan if you are debating it. I was so worried that they wouldn’t find a baby but it’s so reassuring that it is actually there and it’s real 😍

Luckyme2022 · 30/04/2022 19:52

@Laughingmole huge congrats. The scan picture is amazing. For the video, is it part of the package? I haven’t seen a clinic in London that offers video, only pictures. It’s nice to have the video.

Laughingmole · 30/04/2022 20:10

@Luckyme2022 yes it was all part of the package but I didn’t know we were going to get videos too. They gave them to us on a usb stick. I don’t think it said anywhere on their website about video so you might find that you do get them.

I’ve woken up to bleeding 😢 at the moment it’s only when I wipe and it’s not heavy or clotty, but it’s early. Rang EPU and they told me to keep an eye on it today and they’d get me in for a scan tomorrow but I absolutely can’t help thinking the worst. It was only Tuesday that we went for our private scan and saw the strong heartbeat 😢 I’m so anxious.

TradedAtlanta · 01/05/2022 07:09

Oh gosh @PinkFizz1 how distressing. Take care of yourself today and keep hold of how many women have bleeding and go on to have completely healthy babies xx

stuntbubbles · 01/05/2022 07:10

@PinkFizz1 I’m sorry to hear this. You must be terrified. Bleeding can be totally normal in first trimester and once you’ve seen a heartbeat the odds really are in your favour. I hope you’re able to rest today or do something totally distracting until the EPU can see you tomorrow. Flowers

Libmama · 01/05/2022 07:47

Hi everyone I keep dipping in and out of your threads as I’m rubbishbat

Libmama · 01/05/2022 07:50

Ignore that! I keep dipping in and out of your threads as I’m rubbish at keeping up.
I have an early scan booked for Friday when I should be 8+2 but due to a bit of bleeding last week I had one last Saturday too which showed a 6 week baby with a good heartbeat so I’m feeling slightly hopeful. This is my first pregnancy since a miscarriage 18 months ago and I am so so anxious about something going wrong. This will be baby number 3 for me, already have DSs 8 and 3!

@PinkFizz1 so sorry to hear this is happening. Everything crossed for you and the scan tomorrow 🤞💐

KokoNights · 01/05/2022 09:55

@PinkFizz1 - keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

I'm finding everything a bit much at the moment and need to moan. In between the nausea, crazy unhealthy eating habits, weight gain and clothes not fitting, exhaustion, and struggling to keep on top of work, I've been shying away from any social plans or stuff I'd normally do like exercise. The problem then is that I feel more crap as a result! Fingers crossed I get through the first trimester safely and then some of this gets easier.

KittyKat1989 · 01/05/2022 10:17

@PinkFizz1 will be thinking of you today / tomorrow. This is such an anxious time. I wish we could be hooked up to scanning machines permanently to check on the little beans whenever we want!

I have had a lot of cramps over the last couple of days, but no blood and my other symptoms are still present so I’m hoping for the best. Only three weeks and three days until my 12 week scan… I can’t even imagine how slowly that time is going to go!

hopefulsunshine11 · 01/05/2022 10:56

@PinkFizz1 Thinking if you, positive thoughts for a good outcome! I know how you must be feeling but try and relax yourself and I hope you get seen early.

lovesT · 01/05/2022 12:35

@Chanel05 it's so hard with a toddler!! I'm using the telly more than usual if I really need it, even managed a nap a few days ago whilst she watched Peppa because I was so tired. If you have family ask them for help if they can! My mum had been good as I told her early. Agree with sit down activities, playdough, drawing, painting and we've made a couple of cakes just sat at the table. Pots and pans is always good entertainment! We had a rubbish night last night as my daughter slept terribly (she's been sleeping badly for weeks now 🙄) so we're just surviving today, doing what we have to!

@PinkFizz1 everything crossed for you, keep us updated. Remember it can be normal x

hopefulsunshine11 · 01/05/2022 13:51

Hey ladies, should I be worried (yet again). I just had a hot bath, well warm but the room was hot and steamy, I then had a shower to wash my hair and felt a bit dizzy and nauseous. I was in the bath far too long I now this. Should I be worried I've harmed the baby? Or reduced blood flow? I'm almost 9 weeks.

pinkunicorns54 · 01/05/2022 14:57

Gahhh, I have a toddler with chicken pox which meant we had to cancel our holiday to Spain and the nausea has really ramped up... really struggling with not being able to do anything with the toddler and feeling unwell - if we can go out I'm at least a little distracted.... or if I was in Spain, I'd grin and bare it 🤣
day 3... how many left?!?!?

Chanel05 · 01/05/2022 15:35

@PinkFizz1 hoping things go well for you tomorrow.

Has anyone had brown discharge this time? I'm 5+5 and I never had it with my daughter's pregnancy. Currently trying (and failing) not to stress.

lovesT · 01/05/2022 15:37

@hopefulsunshine1 I don't know much about the bath thing but I think you'll be okay, you know to be careful next time 😊 the only thing I can think of that feels similar is when I was pregnant with my daughter I went for a midwife appointment, I can't remember how pregnant I was but enough to have a bump and hear the heartbeat and because I was lying down on the table for too long for midwife to do her checks etc I got really faint and felt sick, went all dizzy and had to have water and sit up for a while before leaving. It was horrible but it was because there was too much pressure from baby and lying down for too long. I know it's slightly different but my daughter is absolutely fine from that, it's probably to do with blood pressure but hopefully someone else will know more! X

AG96 · 01/05/2022 16:27

@Chanel05 I had a bleed at 5+3 bright red blood followed by brown spotting for a day. Had a scan at 6+5 a strong heartbeat was seen. I'm 8+2 now so hopefully all is good.
If you're worried I'd ring your GP or epau for reassurance ☺️

Chanel05 · 01/05/2022 16:38

@AG96 was there a reason for your bleeding? How long did it last for? These issues always seem to happen during a long weekend!

I have a private scan booked for next Friday at 6+5. I know that I could book in for tomorrow or Tuesday, but I'm conscious that it may still be a tad too early for a heartbeat and I don't think I'd feel relaxed regardless.

Astar21 · 01/05/2022 17:00

Hi everyone! Hope it's okay to join 🥰

I'm currently 6 weeks with I think an EDD of Christmas Day! 2nd pregnancy, 1st pregnancy ended with a MMC in January at 12 weeks, so feeling a bit anxious but trying to stay positive. Have read a few of you have also been through this, so will be nice to have similar support. Not many symptoms so far, just tiredness really. Contemplating booking an early scan as the wait feels so long at the moment!

Looking forward to getting to know you all 😊
