I have a scan on Tuesday with EPU, my final follow up due to my medication. I haven't seen the baby since 6w4 and it'll be 9w by then. I can't wait to (hopefully) see dome big growth 🤞

So after waiting a Chinese all day, I gave in and we ordered - only for the first mouthful to make me want to be sick 😫 I'm heartbroken. Honestly, I full on cried. Then had toast for my tea.

Hope everyone else's Friday is going better than mine!!

Aww @Noodle87 I remember this happening once to me with a baked potato. Nothing worse than crying over a dinner you were excited about! I hope you found something else you could stomach :)

Anyone elses rings feeling a bit tight? My engagement ring is normally loose and just tried to take it off and it was difficult! My hands don't look or feel swollen

@baby2in2022 I’ve got a super dry mouth too, and @AG96 I am also constantly starving. Doesn’t matter what I eat. I had a GIANT pizza and my tummy rumbled! Then last night I had my dinner, then a Chinese takeaway, then an 800 calorie waffle… and was still rumbling!

I’m only tiny so I think maybe my body is begging me to put some weight on 🤷🏼‍♀️Which is fine by me! 🤣

And @AG96 thank you for the reminder to take off wedding rings before hands swell up!

@Mommabear20 yay! How lovely to reach the 8 week milestone. 32 to go!

@Noodle87 I do feel very sorry for you, but the way you wrote that, I laughed out loud! You poor thing. Maybe try some anti-sickness supplements 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, I think I’ve linked alcohol-free-beer to my awful tummy pains the last couple of weeks! They’re so gassy, I think that might have been causing the problem.

@Mommabear20 I'm 8 weeks today too! According to ovia, 8 weeks is equivalent to Lego brick/strawberry/and tiny iguna size :)

@Mommabear20 I'm 8+1 now, time seems to be flying - still waiting on news of appointments though so doesn't really feel real!

My bank hols will be spent relaxing. Too tired to do anything. I can't sleep at all 😩

@Noodle87 @AG96 I’m 8+1 as well. Does anyone else feel like they’ve already put on SO much weight?! I don’t think it’s just bloat I actually feel like I’ve put it on around my face. I know we’re all growing tiny humans and should be easier on ourselves but I have a history with my weight and it’s getting me down a bit. Will speak to midwife about it at appointment but need to know im not alone!

also im just not eating enough ‘good’ stuff ie fruit and veg. Living off carbs, chocolate and making bad choices. Trying not to beat myself up too much ☹️

@PinkFizz1 Yeah I feel as big as a house! Also eating bad food choices. I'm already on the larger size. BMI 37 at booking so at risk of all sorts which is worrying me a bit.

As this is my first pregnancy I'm just trying to eat what I can, when I can. I've never needed to eat as often as I do now. Not necessarily large amounts but just increased frequency!

5w1d and just threw up; this is two weeks earlier than last time around. I blame the weird bit of gubbins in the boiled egg I just made for my preschooler, and eggs are now off the menu.

Last time I lived exclusively off plain Hula Hoops, McDonald’s fries and hamburgers, and mini Mars bars – sadly can’t do so when being watched attentively by a 3yo – and by the end of pregnancy looked like a snake that had swallowed a beach ball. For those feeling they’re making “bad” food choices: you’re not! You’re making “ingest some calories for energy” choices within the boundaries of what your queasiness will let you. The baby will get exactly what it needs from you, promise. And if you get a non-sleeper the weight drops off from all the 2am baby jiggling!

Got home to a letter from the hospital with my 12 week scan date on! 😁 not till the end of May which I know will come round faster than I think but it just feels ages away!

@PinkFizz1 I weighed myself this morning because I thought the same, but I'm actually a pound lighter than I was before I found out. My clothes and reflection tell quite the different story though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Living off beige food at the moment too and forcing myself to eat an apple every day 🤦🏼‍♀️ But as long as I’m taking my daily vits I’m just rolling with it!

feeling the mum guilt today too have virtually no energy to play with my DD so we spent the morning a couple of hours at soft play

I’m now about to go for my private scan! Feeling partly really excited to see the little bean. But also really worried in case it’s not going as we hope. Wish me luck! Hopefully I’ll be back to update with good news 🤞🤞

@Noodle87 I'm the same! Yesterday we went out and I'm sporting what looks like a bump but I'm 1lb lighter 🤨😂 by this time with DD I'd put on 7lbs but I think that was partly a lockdown issue 🙈

@MrsCrumbtious that was me last weekend felt awful with mum guilt but it's not as bad this week 🤞

I am terrified we go on holiday 2 weeks on Tuesday and DD's passport isn't back yet 😩 emailed them for an upgrade to get it moving so hopefully they'll accept it 🤞

Anyone with a toddler - how are you entertaining them? I had a nap whilst my dd (19 months old) was napping and I feel more exhausted than ever!! We're currently cuddled up watching tv but she will definitely get fed up soon.

@Chanel05 I have a 16mo and on the days that I'm not at work I'm thoroughly exhausted running after her.
I think I'm going to spend a fortune on soft play just to wear her out each day

@Chanel05 I’m planning on more soft play mornings, films and lots of snacks 😂 Last time I was pregnant I was working 40+ hours and no where near as tired as I am now lol

@Chanel05 Lots of TV! Lots of jigsaw puzzles, playdough, painting – sitting down activities. I’m accepting that the house will be a mess for the next couple of years, letting my standards drop now.

Also letting her play doctor while I lie down!

The scan went really well. Baby is doing perfect 😍 measuring at 9+1 and we could see the heart beating. Really pleased 😍

@Laughingmole lovely scan, was it a private scan? I'm too scared for any scans. Guess il have to just wait it out for the 12 week one
